David Cross: Let America Laugh (2003)
This "documentary" is as sarcastic as possible.
First off, let me say that plorre was a bit mistaken when he said that this supplementary DVD is not for the fans. If he had ever seen any of Mr. Crosses work before i believe he would have understood and appreciated the sarcastic humor of this "documentary".
Now, on to the movie itself. Very funny if not hilarious.
Anyone who believes that this is in any way serious within the first 15 minutes should turn it off and walk away, because you will only be offended.
This DVD is not recommended to people without a strong sense of humor.
Miracle Mile (1988)
Stupidity Rules in late 80's Los Angeles
I have never in my whole life been more frustrated with a movie. Its characters, plot, and outcome are a result of the stupidest possible decisions that were made throughout the entire film.
Dont get me wrong, this movie was good, but the decisions made by the characters, that you are supposed to care about nonetheless, are frustrating to say the least. You want to jump on screen and slap them around at points, asking them what the hell they are thinking. Thats not a good quality for a character to possess. If we should feel compassion or even pity, they should at least attempt to make the right decision.
***SPOILER***
I think that the ending is justifiable solely for the fact the the characters never make and effort to survive, therefore deserver to die. Had they made the proper choices then they could be living a peaceful life in Antarctica repopulating the planet 24 hours a day.
Overall i liked this movie. I did do my fair share of yelling at the screen. Also, I wish that it could have been a little longer and more drawn out, you just dont get enough to fill you up.
Have fun with it, its the only way you will get through it.
