One of the top 5 movies of this year
1 November 2008
Warning: Spoilers
I just saw this at the Savannah Film Festival (on Friday October 31st, 2008), held by the Savannah College Of Art and Design (SCAD) and as soon as the credits started rolling for this movie the first word that came out of my mouth was "WOW!!!" This movie is easily one of the best of 2008, I honestly don't know how the people have given this movie a average rating of 7 here on IMDb. This movie is the heart wrenching tale of a person who has everything he ever loved taken away from him, only to try with everything that he has to regain his true love and gain more than he could ever hope. It is preformed and put together in such a way that it forgets and bypasses every love story cliché. The movie starts out a little confusing but is very quickly sorted out and understood. Danny Boyle has made a film that inspires and encourages people of all ages.

To summarize the deep and perfectly delivered message of this movie; you don't have to be a genius to know the answers in life, sometimes life is just written(whether you call it fate or destiny). This movie I'm sure will find its place amongst the great love movie's like "The Princess Bride", "Casablanca", and "Titanic". Some people I know have problems over the fact that this movie takes place in India, but if you just for one moment let go of that and watch this movie you will instantly find out just how amazing this movie is.

Even though I am writing this review now in November, I hope that you will read this review when the film comes out officially in January and go out and see it. BECAUSE WHETHER YOU GO INTO THAT THEATER ALONE; WITHOUT A GIRLFRIEND OR NOT, YOU WILL WALK OUT OF THAT THEATER INSPIRED, ENCOURAGED, HOPEFUL, BUT MOST OF ALL IN LOVE WITH THIS FILM.

For my closing statement I need to mention that recently this film got an undeserving "R" rating, but this is one movie you should not be ashamed to have your parents take you to see. And is the perfect movie to take a loved one to.

TMNT (2007)

Reinvention Doesn't describe its immensity
24 March 2007
For years i have been waiting for the TMNT series to take on this persona. Finally the turtles are full fledged ninjas with immense fight scenes never before seen. Thanks To CGI the turtles were able to do what actors in rubber foam suits can't. It also contains astounding graphics that regular animation can't deliver. The film gives the series and edgy darkness that brings true excitement into the movie, i would still recommend children going. But when it comes to a 19 year old whose been a fan since his child hood, prepare your pants cause it truly is a wet dream of a movie. I can only pray for a sequel! So please go see it if not just for the animation which is AMAZING! It truly shows that CGI is the future of film

One of the greatest movies yet this year
4 March 2006
this movie was outrageously funny due to the brilliant comic Dave Chappelle. This movie also features great music and entertainment. But if you think this movie is full of Dave Chappelles wild skits like on the Chappelle Show, ill let you know right now its not. Its a documentary about him putting this Block Party together. While it does have his amazing comic brilliance in it, it is MOSTLY filled with great music. Still I loved this movie for all its aspects, the Music, the jokes, the stories, and the entertainment. With Musical talent including Mos Deff, Kanye West, The Roots, Dead Prez, the Commons, a reunion of The Fugees, and much much more, this is a must see. So many of the movies that are put into theaters are not worth your 8-10 dollars, this one is. BUT go see it knowing that its not the Chappelle Show.

Grandma's Boy (2006)
10/10
selective audience
8 January 2006
this movie(Grandmas Boy) is a movie similar to the Jersey series(jay and silent bob movies) in that it has a certain audience that finds the topics in the movie EXTREMELY funny. I myself couldn't stop laughing. This is a blend of weed, dick, and fart jokes that we don't see in Adam Sandlers movies(seeing as they are usually pg-13). But if you happen to be someone who likes movies such as "40 Year Old Virgin" and/or "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" go and see this movie, because what some people don't understand is that most people don't go to see movies for their writing, they go to have fun and to be entertained. And lets face it everyone loves to laugh.
