Vigil (2021)
All belief suspended
Season 2 starts well then deteriorates to a parody of defence forces personnel and unbelievable problem solving via technology which is more James Bond than reality. Plot defies logic and over-acting rules. Disappointing from Line of Duty team and Dougray Scott miscast given his brilliant performance in Crime. Token attempts to justify terrorism and questions of morality is pretty feeble
When you're Googling information on the actors instead of concentrating on the screen, there's something lacking. And all the rapid-fire dialogue assume viewers have any clue as to what is happening
If anyone can unravel the plot and justify making a feeble follow up to series 1, please let me know.
Grace (2021)
Credibility gaps
First season was OK, sufficiently gruesome subject matter and somewhat tired storyline of maverick cop with personal issues. And the mean female boss trope has run its course. But the second one was just laughable. Triplets, for heaven's sake! And perfunctory love interest to make up for wife who abandoned him. John Simms is capable of so much more, waste of a talented actor.
The One (2021)
Implausible rubbish
Daft ending, too many red herrings and lazy script. Black Mirror did it much better
Between Two Worlds (2020)
Pitiful
Hermione Norris must have wanted an expenses paid holiday. She is so much better than this C Grade rubbish. As for whatsername who plays Georgia, I've rarely seen anyone so lacking in basic acting skills. Dumb plot, lousy acting and stretched out for 10 episodes for pity's sake. If this is the best Australian TV can come up with, I'll stick to UK and US productions.
