Christmas with the Campbells (2022)
Firmly Planted at the intersection of Hallmark Place & John Waters Blvd
This is clearly tongue-in-cheek take on a Hallmark movie justixposed with the typical John Waters style small town seemingly normal weirdos, just not in Baltimore. Pay close attention to the aside conversations between the mother and father characters (played by Cheers veteran George Wendt and Newhart alum Julia Duffy) that add absolutely nothing to the story, but add all the true color, and the the small town busy body that makes all the off color remarks that are the bread and butter of absurd comedies All of this only to end with the predictable Hallmark holiday ending. Still, better fodder than the typical Hallmark Christmas fare.
Spirit Riding Free (2017)
Perfect for children of Millennials
If you love denying history or the American West of the 19th Century, than this is the show for you! If you like believing there were modern battery operated wall clocks in school houses, or girls who wore short sleeve t-shirts or blouses with pants, and black children being allowed to attend school with white children, then this is perfectly flawed piece of fluff you been waiting for.
Why specify the time of a period piece, if you're going to pretend it isn't that time? It's not like the place it existed in was ever a slave territory. And people wonder why children have no sense of reality when all they are surrounded be is feel good fairy tales?
