A Deadly Adoption (2015 TV Movie)
Great tribute for Lifetime's 25th anniversary
20 June 2015
After much speculation it turned out the movie wasn't at all a comedy/parody, although some moments could've been interpreted in a funny way(the garage door opening being one of them), it is actually a Lifetime tribute with essential elements of their movies that have been popular with its audience: a life-altering accident, a fresh start after couple of months/years(it occurs twice in perfect sync at the beginning and ending of the movie), alcoholic husband, naive partner/wife, dark past that gets everyone in trouble, a crazy ex-lover, best friend who knows too much for his own good, phone that stops working in a crucial moment, police getting involved all too late, saving the day ending and lets not forget the classic handgun shooting happening between almost all characters in a row.

For a Lifetime casual fan this will a great movie of their beloved genre full with all the dramatic bits that they enjoyed throughout the years involving 2 A+ listed actors who attracted attention, in order to celebrate their 25th anniversary of hilarious clichés.

For non-lifetime viewers this will be a new and enjoyable experience which they could find funny in some scenes given the 2 comedy Gods involved in it, but you need to have seen at least 1 Lifetime movie to understand the replicated elements that are included in this anniversary. Its not a parody per-se because they didn't had to exaggerate the already overly-dramatized bits which are usually found in Lifetime movies and which some of their casual viewers find hilarious, its simply a replication of those but bunched together in a single movie.

10/10

Tomorrowland (2015)
An great script destroyed by casting
4 June 2015
The script was great, the acting was OK'is, but the casting department needs to be held responsible for this flop of a movie which gave so many phedofi vibes that felt uncomfortable watching.

The casting should have focused on teens from 20-25 years old which would also had given the plausible tech knowledge that both Frank and Casey displayed when they were 8. How is anyone supposed to believe this plot of an 8-10 year old knowing so much tech.

The plausibility and pe do file nature of the movie would have been easily solved if the young actors would've been around 20 instead of 10.

Welcome to Me (2014)
Alice highlights the modern era of sharing everything
21 May 2015
Warning: Spoilers
First off I'll just tick the spoiler alert box as I think the biggest surprise is exactly at the end when Alice makes courage and faces the demons that haunted her for so many years. I won't reveal more but it made me shed a tear when I saw her overcoming that difficult condition.

The message that Alice spreads throughout the movie is that of hope of anyone being capable of achieving something if they really believe it, however what follows next is the exposure of the modern era flaw of sharing everything, which I guess is part of the social network deal that most of us took in order to share every part of our private life with the world.

Alice mistake is getting attached to any men that offers her a bit of attention but her main problem is that she suffers from a serious disease. At one time she comically tries to treat BPD by eating string cheese. Kristen Wiig creates a brand new character that has a lot of hand movements and manages to stay unrecognizable from any of her previous roles with the most entertaining scenes coming from the dialog with her doctor played by none other than Tim Robbins.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie and I'll place it in my top 3 this year for the original subject it brings forward, for the fantastic story that ends on a great note and for the fantastic interactions between these great actors. Welcome to me!

Riddick (2013)
Exceptional! Waiting for the next one!
15 September 2013
Warning: Spoilers
Superficial viewers, which are plenty, will view this as an remake of Pitch Black. Far from the truth. Its an entirely different script in which Riddick is stranded by his own with no food/water/ship and severely injured on top of it. Like Riddick says 'there are bad days and there are legendary bad days' and the film moves on to develop Riddick character and his adaptability skills like never before.

The movie successfully takes Riddick story to another level where we see for the first time Riddick's weaknesses with him almost dying twice, we see what would've happened to Kyra if he hadn't go all the way to the 'other side of the universe' to protect her(his dog-alike friend gets killed by his hunters), we see for the first time someone playing him(necromangas) and he falling to the bullsh*t that they'll take him to Furya, we see him being hunted by very good mercs(john's team not santana) not by some 'skittish' ones, we see for the first time how he uses his bluffing skills making them to open the locker :-), we see for the first time showing mercy to his hunters, etc

I see a lot of comments about the writing, as if this was supposed to an symposium on nuclear physics. I find the writing very fitting to the situation and its very plausible that in real life you would get this sort of conversation, very simple, straight to the point and sometimes even funny.

I also see a lot of comments about the similarity with the monsters from pitch black. I could make same complaints about the action being on a similar solid-earth planet instead of liquid or gas planet. Come on, this isn't really a serious complaint. An adaptable creature is very probable to have its period of hibernation till the proper conditions of existence occurs. Earth animals do this to escape from winter for example.

All in all its certainly not a waste of time and anyone who enjoyed first two movies will find this one a very rewarding with a deeper plunge into Riddick character and his motives for being what he is, the adaptability to new environments and doing anything to survive. The movie is very entertaining all the way and keeps me wanting more, seeing Riddick into more situations where his limits are tested. Very realistic film even though its set in a SCI-FI environment! Has funny moments, action and drama moments, what can a viewer ask more? 10/10
