The Law and Harry McGraw (1987–1988)
Orbach legacy
27 March 2005
McGraw another bright spot in life's work of Jerry Orbach. He is sorely missed. I have followed his career through the years and have always been impressed with his portrayals and have believed in the performance. He became "McGraw", he became "Brisco", etc. I did not see and hear Orbach. In reading through IMDb listing of credits I'm even more impressed at the scope of his works. Uncredited cameos, voice overs in "toons", whatever. He was a busy man. I seem to have missed quite a bit. I'll have to seek out those missing bits and view them. L&O will survive and prosper, but Lennie will always be on the set and in the minds of his many, many fans. God bless you Jerry.

Law & Order (1990– )
Kudos for L&O

The show has been at the top of the genre since inception with writing, casting, etc. This excellence has been carried over with the spin-offs as well. Fine job. Hope "Lennie" drops by the old precinct for coffee once in a while. He was one of my favorite characters. Orbach had been under-appreciated for too long (ie, LAW & MAGRAW). In reply to a FEW neg comments on casting "eye candy" as ADAs I say "Viva la eye candy." Realistic stories and situations, well plotted and acted out by professionals who happen to not be ugly. Thank you Mr Wolfe! My grandchildren will love it! New stories, cast members, legal question from "today's headlines" to examine, etc. They'll probably have 20-30 years of "Classic Re-Runs" available to them. I'm jealous already, I've only got 14!
