The Last Laugh (2019)
Classic Comedy
Classic comedians showing a new generation that being funny doesn't mean you have to be foul mouthed.
Nightflyers (2018)
A true Syfy show on the SYFY channel.
After the first two minutes of the show I was interested to see where it would go. The more I watched the more I wanted to see what would happen next. When the Monday night show ended I couldn't wait to see the next episode on Tuesday. Its been a long time since I got this interested in a show so quickly. I just hope The SyFy Channel doesn't cancel it like they do good shows so often and not give the show time to gain a strong fan base. SYFY lovers sometimes take a while to jump on board with a new show because of how quickly they get killed off without becoming a multi- season series. Remember we;re Nerds and we do not do things like the general population and that includes watching TV !
Lodge 49 (2018)
AMC needs to cut their losses now!
If Lodge 49 is the best AMC could do for a comedy then they should have gone with reruns of M.A.S.H. a show was actually funny. At least for younger viewers they would see what truly creative writers are capable of at their best.
This is the first time I've ever rated a show this low before but I guess there is a first time for everything.
Reverie (2018)
Take or leave it
OK, I want to be fair to this show in a review so lets look at the good first. Overall the show takes on a fresh idea about future tech abilities and the problems it could bring into human lives. For that part I give it an A+. Now, the bad news for the show. The story lines should be a lot more exciting. I know if I could have my own fantasy world it wouldn't be anything like the world we live in today. And that is the problem with Reverie. If it comes back next season they better come up with more exciting fantasy worlds for the people wanting to stay in them!
Jessica Jones (2015)
What's not to love
I've enjoyed Jessica Jones with twists and turns coming in almost every scene, you have to keep your eyes on the show. Add in the dysfunctional characters, just like in real life, people with superpowers, fight and chase scenes and what more could you ask for in a TV show? So, what's not to love?
The Brave (2017)
A little look behind the curtain
Great show about what our Special Ops forces do in TV show fashion. I have hopes they have good writers and real Spec-Ops personal giving tech assist. With the right people helping to develop story lines and making sure it is realistic this show could be a winner. If not it will be a one season wonder. At least it's not another doctor or cop show!
Person of Interest (2011)
Sad day for TV viewers.
It's sad to see such a great TV show, unlike so many of the cookie cutter types now on, leave the air. I guess they will replace it with another cop or medical emergency show. God knows we need more of those to watch! Creative programs are becoming a thing of the past. Maybe we will get lucky and the writers of Person of Interest will have another interesting program to pitch the network. It's that or we can always hope they will put the show back on as reruns! One ray of sunshine it seems they left an opening in the last show of the season for bringing Person of interest back... Maybe the network will smarten up and do just that in the near future!
South of Hell (2015)
Needs a Bigger Budget
South of Hell could be a real winner with an increased production budget. The storyline is interesting and the show could easily become as big a hit as Supernatural. It's a shame WEtv didn't see the possibilities for the 1st season. I will give WEtv credit for stepping out and taking a chance on a non cookie cutter TV show. Maybe, next seasons production budget will allow the director to carry the show to greater heights. With so many shows of the past that went in a different direction only to later become SyFy icons, like "Firefly" but were killed off before the people had a chance to become fans. South of Hell looks to be a pop-icon in the making, we can only hope WEtv can have the foresighted vision and give the SyFy fans the warm up time they always need.
