Boiling Point (2023)
Phenomenal series
This series is pretty faultless. After watching the film, and thoroughly enjoying it, I was intrigued to see where this series would go. I thought it would be a bit of a spin off and slightly over indulgent of the film. Well I admit I was wrong !
It hits the mark on every occurrence. Directing, acting, script, music, every detail did not go unnoticed. It was a work of art !!! Every actor involved and I mean it when I say every actor was incredible. Just the flow of the series was perfect, and so realistic. Every story I could relate to, it never reached that irritating over dramatisation like in Hollywood, its gut wrenching then just moves on and you feel you have to move with the pace. The series felt like a dinner service, hard to put in words.... Let's say I would recommend this series.
Don't Look Up (2021)
Phenomenal movie
I have never written a review before but felt I had to with this movie.
I thought it was phenomenal.
It was well written, well directed and extremely well played by all cast members. Adam McKay can do know wrong right now. I think he is at his prime.
Yes it is funny, it's dark comedy at its finest. It's an allegory of America and it's avoidance of its responsibility to climate change. I find it interesting the people who don't like this film and their stance on this incredibly oppressing subject.
They don't quite get the humour and it's similarities to what we are facing now.
I particularly loved the nod at its interpretation of 'all lives matter' it made me howl, but I won't ruin that for the reader.
DiCaprio and Lawrence where needed for this film. It was clever to use them. They give the movie gravitas It has made the movie on the top list of Netflix. I think without this coverage and promotion I might have missed this gem of a movie.
