Great Film!

Powerful film all the way - but I still liked Tim Burton's version better - i don't know why.

The director did a great job with the characters, from the Bruce Wayne/Batman to Catwoman to the antagonist to Batman, as well as secondary characters such as Alfred and Gordon, they are all fleshed out beautifully and are very believable in respect to the source material. Supplemented by superb acting by the all star cast, I have no complaints here.

The direction is very good. As I said above, it takes a while to pick up, but it never ever get's boring. As soon as you start to think that, something happens that pulls you right back in.

The action scenes are brilliantly done, the special effects are great, Zimmer's score is, as always, superb, the editing and cinematography are crisp. There really is not much to complain about here.

In my personal opinion it is the best installment in the trilogy, and if you haven't seen it yet I can only recommend you do so as soon as possible.

"YOU May Come Against Me With Sword and Spear...."

A pin just dropped. It seems that the critics are silent so I thought I'd throw in my two cents to even things up a bit. First, if you assume every movie is made simply to uppercut some sort of ideology into the audience's chest, then yes, it does seem very religious - so what? 80% of the world is religious! You watch sports! Guess what - you're religious! Every scene is beautifully crafted. I found the slowdown to be stylistic and much of the dialogue, which is apparently cheesy and fascist to the rest of the world, to be at least somewhat inspiring, and certainly engaging. Don't get caught up in all the anti hype. Enjoy it for what it is which is a good tale of a Bible story, great action scenes, (if not a little over done), great faith-based film acting and above all, a moral tale for today's age. 7/10

Yes men

The Matrix:Reloaded was good. Not as good as I would have liked, but good nevertheless. Revolutions was unfortunately many degrees below that standard. The feeling I got throughout the entire film was that the Wachowski's had the phrase "wouldn't it be cool if..." on their minds, and due to the success of the first film, nobody would stand up to them and say that, well, actually, it would be pretty cheesy. There are so many scenes that are just awful clichéd nonsense. I hope that in ten years time, as happened with the Highlander series, somebody will come along and pretend that these original sequels never existed and create some new ones following on from the first film.

Too many characters with too little substance. Scenes based on effects instead of story, characters based on ability rather than being interesting. A pile of rubbish really.

I don't know why critics cal it bizarre and macabre. I really don't. Dark -yes, bizarre - no. It i s sad and with lots of emotions, specially with the Pinguin's story. They say it has elements of S&M but I really don't find anything of that sort except for Catwoman's whip.

This movie is deeper than its genre and villains aren't just some crazy freaks dressed like on a masquerade. They have strong motives with strong feelings involved. Catwoman (a great performance by Michelle Pfeifer!) isn't just a sexy chick who likes steeling jewels - she's on her personal crusade and Pinguin... well, by the end of the movie you really feel sorry for him (strong performance by Danny DeVito). Again, I think Michael Keaton is the best Batman and he carries his costume well.

You can totally see that it is a Tim Burton movie, because he has an unusual style and is a very talented guy. But also the music is fantastic and fits the emotions.
