Princesa is beautiful. In order for sexual-minorities to get money, they need to work in a environment they do not deserve. Prostitution is always a problem, but could be one of the only choice they could afford to live. It is almost a miracle that a straight man has loved Princesa for who she is, although she still has the mens feature in her body. They are going through difficulties with health problems such as HIV and AIDS. To prevent this, I think more job opportunities are necessary, and they should be given more rights as a human-being just like everybody else. The movie ends with her smile, which is very sad and ironic. A great movie to watch and think about.

Very sad ending. Why must sexual-minorities have to be the victims all the time?? The movie is about a boy in a army, struggling about his sexual identity. But through the training and the way he was taught, he was really confused. Although this movie is based on a true story, and military training vs. sexual-minorities are arguable, but the reason the boy was killed doesn't necessary have to be because he was homosexual. The killer just wanted some reason to blame him. I personally think the reason could be anything, for his looks, etc. anything that is making him less appealing. But a great movie that portrays how a government policies has to be fixed.

I thought the story was unrealistic. After all those years of being married, would a couple have a hard time getting over it? But if it was real, I feel that Roy is a really strong person, trying to become a woman and fight for her own rights in the men's world. It was really striking to see her getting back the earrings that were taken away. But I'm happy to see the family getting well together again, since this may not happen to all. I think the couple will be separated in most cases. Overall, a nice romantic film without making it over romantic. It portrays a strong family bond, and makes me feel that it is important to understand others circumstances more.

I heard someone say that all men are born with a desire to dress as a woman. Well, I don't know if its true for all, but Gerard in this movie is surely one of them. However, it makes the concept of transvestism complicated because the movie include aspects from Kabuki and Scottish kilt skirt, which are not at all related to cross dressing. Also, I was confused with his female character Geraldine. If he feel as a she, would he still be a transvestite? Very difficult to categorize him. Overall, the movie glamorizes transvestism too much. I really feel the intension and doesn't seem natural. Seems totally fiction, and I don't really appreciate that. But the story itself is pretty interesting. Very melodramatic.

You'll never know when you will be in love with a person in the same sex. Thats what I thought about this movie. Marijo is obviously the kind of a lesbian that everyone knows about. Very stereotypical. But through her struggle to have her girl, and her desire to have a baby, it makes the audience want to relate to her. Which is a good thing. I am Japanese and don't really know about French people, but for me it was ridiculous to live with someone who you've just met. The issue was not really about the fact that Marijo was a lesbian, but the fact that Loli couldn't decide who she should be with. Well, its a comedy so it maybe works. Fun movie to watch with a lot of hilarious scenes, but I don't know if I have learned something from it.
