Joker (I) (2019)
9/10
Outstanding character portrayal & everything but mediocre story.
19 December 2019
Watched this film tonight in theatre and I should say I was held in awe not once, but the whole time by Joaquin Phoenix's brilliant performance. Very well-developed character. (It's a new version of Joker while still loyal to ones we know, so don't expect to go and see someone imitating Heath Ledger) Joaquin's portrayal of the role is exceptionally realistic that watching his life and how he snaps was indeed painful. Great cinematography and artistic shots which were accompanied by a minimalistic score that had a lot to say and well-placed slow motions. The story is the only part that actually failed the picture and held me back from giving it a perfect 10/10. This idea, this character development required a more in-depth story. Because the performances are out of this world. Phoenix and De Niro both nailed it. I wish it had a better story and a smoother storytelling flow, cause it was boring at times, but before you knew it, it would get you again on triller track. Everything together almost made up for the disloyal story. Not a movie for everyone but definitely an Oscar-worthy. A must-watch.

The Warden (2019)
7/10
It could be perfect.

I liked everything about this movie. Good story development but from the middle towards the end they show the prison boss who makes smart assumptions, fooling around a woman. It's not realistic to lose it all for a woman on duty. The ending was absolute rubbish. It doesn't hurt to watch it though. Navid MohammadZadeh nails it again. I wish it had a better ending.

Jigsaw (I) (2017)

Good movie, bad sequel
16 March 2019
It was a good movie, thrilling, good mystery-puzzle and all that. I am a fan of the Saw series, I just don't see a reason why make a sequel to that and continue it while unnecessary and ruin the ''legacy''! And from what I can gather there will be Jigsaw 2 3 etc. It is a good movie, but not as a Saw sequel. Otherwise I recommend watching it to Saw fans. PS: The graphic works could be better.

The Ring Two (2005)
8/10
Actually it was better than the first one... One of the bests!
6 March 2019
I watched the first one and it was okay. Then saw the rates for this one here, I started watching Two with really low expectations. I'm quite surprised. I don't know why it is so low in rate but it was more scary than the 1st one! More intense. Better scenario, better use of music. Better in general. IMO, it is one of the best horrors!

What Remains of Edith Finch (2017 Video Game)

Something special
5 March 2019
The experience was something special. It's about a cursed doomed to die family. The player goes one by one finding out their stories. However I'd heard about this game a lot and it didn't live up to my expectations.

+ Creative storytelling
  • Not engaging enough, predictable ending, no plot peaks or twists

I'll give it an overall of 6/10. Meaning that there may be better games to play in these 2 hours of game play.

Firewatch (2016 Video Game)

Really enjoyable!
2 March 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The game is not so advanced in terms of gameplay but it has a very catching story, really good voice acting (It really affects the game, cause you'll spend majority of the game talking on the Walky-Talky), pleasing graphics with a thrilling plot twist. Recommended.

Best Open World RPG I have played.
2 March 2019
Well-written story for both Main and Side-Quests. Amazing sound track that turn this game to an unforgettable epic. Easy UI, relatively simple Awesomely active community with a lot of mods and extra content you could use. The game is a must-play.

Psycho (1960)
7/10
An overrated classic
27 February 2019
This is a classic and has been an inspiration for many psychological crime movies after. No argue in that. Perkin does it really well. Music is well-composed but that an especially the plot is good for that era. I watched this and 45min passed, the ending was clear. I watched the thriller after the film was done. Don't watch it before!! An absolute overrated predictable thriller. That is it. Thriller. Not horror! At least not the best horror in IMDb! I would give this 6.5/10 I don't usually watch black and white, but there was so many praise around this one. I don't know but I think the new +8/10 ratings are somehow compelled to do so by seeing this on the Top 50.

Best movie I have seen so far. A must-watch
22 February 2019
I never thought I'd like a Sci-Fi / Space film this much. This is Nolan's best. Really over the top. If you earn some background of Space physics before watching, you'll get the most out of this masterpiece but even if not, you will still place this in your all-time favourites. cause it's pretty much self-explanatory. A film you will not regret a minute. One you would probably wanna watch again and again.
