Britannia High (2008–2009)
What?
18 June 2008
What is this supposed to be then? An English version of High School Musical? An English version of Center Stage? They have certainly taken the tag line from it...

I shall reserve judgement till I see it , but its bound to just go the way of Rock Rivals and be utter rubbish surely?

They have cast one of the Skins actors as well I believe, there's a picture of him with a dreadful perm on Digital Spy

And whats with the name? Britannia High... its just AWFUL. Sounds like the Brits School - which quite frankly was OVER mentioned at the Brits this year...

Watch This !

Warning: Spoilers
Ignoring some of the awful reviews on here, I decided to buy this movie on DVD, and have just watched it.. quite frankly I can say I wasn't disappointed ! OK, so the plot wasn't amazing, and you knew pretty much who was gonna live and who was gonna die, but you know what, that didn't matter - a gay horror flick is just what the genre needed...

The direction was good, the actors not bad (although would have been nice to see Matt Philips (Toby) out of drag - damn he's hot), and I would LOVE to see a sequel... if they could make one for IKWYDLS, then they can do one for this...

Watch this movie !!!

The Bodyguard (1992)

Superb

Just watched this movie for the first time in about 8 years, and my god, I've fallen in love with it all over again..... Superb Superb Superb.

Whitney is great in a debut role, Kevin strikes the right balance of being detached, yet oh so involved, and those surrounding "Rachel" play the superstar entourage very well.

Yes, there are some flaws, but only minor ones..

I'm off to dig out the soundtrack and imagine what it would be like to fall in love with my bodyguard, should I ever get one !

Oh, and wouldn't you just love to see a sequel or a remake !

I liked this movie !

Warning: Spoilers
OK, so I saw this movie and First Daughter within 2 days of each other on DVD. I only saw this movie because of First Daughter, and wanted to compare the two.

This is clearly the superior movie, and Mandy Moore is so much more likable as Anna than Katie Holmes was as Sam.

The story is better too. At first I didn't like the fact that we knew Ben was Secret Service so early on, and her finding out was weaker than the way Sam did in First Daughter, but Ben and Anna's relationship felt so much stronger than Sam and James' did.

The writing could have been better, but the cast was good, and the secondary story of the two agents was an added bonus.

This movie actually brought a couple of tears to my eyes, and I will be sure to watch it again, whereas First Daughter will be consigned to the bottom of my DVD pile. (and Matthew Goode is kinda hot too, so there's another reason to watch it !) Totally recommend this to all those who like a good romcom and chick flick.....

Enough (I) (2002)
Love It !
9 May 2004
I love this movie, for a variety of reasons... Jennifer for a start gives it a green light in my book, and yes, while its is reminiscent of Sleeping with the Enemy, I find Slim much stronger than Julias character in that movie.... Michael APted is a brilliant director, and Juliette Lewis makes up the rest of a great cast. I was shocked when it went strauight to DVD in the UK, i saw a pirate copy from a friend who wokrs at Columbia, and I loved it , and raved about it for weeks...

It keeps me on the edge of my seat , and everytime I watch it, that first time Mitch hits Slim still makes me gasp. I whole heartedly recommend this film top anyone...
