Say what you want about the man but Mel Gibson is sorely missed, that was one of many mistakes this movie made. Flat, boring, pretty, but not fun. The original stands as a childhood favorite that I've watched with my kid many times but nugget of whatever, will be forgotten in a week. Yet another in a long list of agenda filled Netflix blunders. When will they learn? (Side note about Netflix as a production company: finally canceling my subscription after ANOTHER price hike, removing Christmas movies around the holidays, while other services put them behind pay walls is just a greedy, disgusting practice imo, streaming is out of control and people are finding alternatives)

Like it was a compelling story, and the footage is so interesting, wish we could have had more time with the "event" of it as far as how it must have felt to be stranded and then seeing rescue. He waved when they got there? Maybe a reflex or conviction but I suspect no recollection which is expected but disappointing.

But ya did the crew not like him??

From a perspective of someone who just loves movies, this was bad. New characters shoehorned into weird sudo nostalgic roles, cringy editing and efffects, both rushed and slow at the same time, goes beyond meta to being annoying, nonsensical events that are both poorly shown and poorly explained. Adds nothing to the story of the matrix. Which is... ??? Like isn't that the point? Fights scenes were both long and boring and choreography was a mess. The acting was good nobody phoned it in but direction was bad, none got to shine, for what it represents for so many people it didn't comment at all on society, it was a laughable let down. That's objective- me personally?

Hated the first 15 minutes, mostly really liked the next 30 or so and then it just devolved into a pathetic messy cash grab which it was apparently meant to be. And none of this even touches the cringy sjw unearned and cheesy story arc that trinity got. Basically it was another "let's crap on that thing you love" much like the new bond movie. 4/10 is for the 40ish minutes near the beginning we're it promised me a thoughtful commentary and new story right before it stopped caring.

From the effects, to the acting, to the unique take on a well worn tale this movie is a MUST SEE for any horror film fans, better than "anything for Jackson" or "saint maude", two other recent horror thrillers which I enjoyed, this is a cut above them and I hope you love it as much as I did!

But without heart, boring and nonsensical in the worst way. Even for a kids movie this was tasteless, below the emoji movie even because this is a slap in the face the the Michael Jordan classic, with its coherent plot a well paced, acted film with a right tone and a director who knew how to use its cast. A classic soundtrack and just a memorable good time. Unlike this cash grab that is so full of virtue signaling and poor groan worthy dialogue from start to finish "the computer is black" "That pig was Spitting fire" "nerd alert" HBO used to mean something, now it means I'll watch another channel.

The two parter that made me believe in this doctor, nuff said.

As a hard of hearing person my friend and I were very annoyed that this movie does NOT offer subtitles!! It's a modern movie why don't thy have them?? Sorry maybe it's just my problem and I should deal but it sucks for us :/
