NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service: The Helpers (2022)
Well done!
We thought this was a very good episode. Being a native Pittsburger, I loved the 2 Pittsburgh references, one when Parker says jagoff and then Mister Rogers, when Jimmy talks to his daughter about looking for the helpers. I don't understand all the negative reviews. We thought it well acted and we love Jimmy's character. We also like the continued development of Nick's character and his introspection. Gary Cole as Parker has become a very likable character and is doing a great job. It's actually been interesting to see the contrast between his character and Gibbs. We're still with NCIS to the end.
The Laundromat (2019)
Don't be taken in by Hollywood's political left
Somewhat interesting movie until Streep's monologue at the end. Very disappointed. What a load of schlock!
Madam Secretary: The New Normal (2019)
So very disappointed.
This episode is not based on science. I agree with the person who said,"Absurd!" Pure propaganda.
The Fire Next Time (1993)
disaster movie is a disaster
This movie about disasters is itself a disaster. Do not waste your time watching it. If you do, prepare to laugh out loud at some of the script and "special effects". My husband and I started watching it and have only continued to see if it could get any worse. I will say there is one highlight. When the lady sings the old Gospel song on the barge, it is worth hearing. There are some things in this movie that are very big brotherish as one person already wrote and that these "predictions" have happened was the scary part. As it concerns global warming? BAH! It's another fad, just as the global cooling predictions of the 60's. The big difference this time is that there are people like Al Gore who stand to make millions on this scam.
I can't say this more strongly, stay away from this movie, very far away!
Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed (2008)
Closed minds
It absolutely astounds me at the amount of negative and critical reviews this movie has received. It appears to me that Ben Stein has certainly stepped on toes and hit some very sore spots with those who refuse to even consider that there might be intelligent design. This is the crux of the movie. It is to shake up academia and the world. Ben Stein is simply advocating freedom, a foundational truth upon which this country is based. The paranoia that there is some underground conspiracy that intelligent design is how the religious right will get God and prayer back in the schools it ludicrous.
I found it frightening that there are those whose lives have no hope, no real reason to live. If you take a creator/higher power/God out of the creation, you have nothing. And to say that aliens seeded this planet - how is that less outlandish than to say there is a God. To say there is no evidence for God is to be completely closed minded. Evolution is no more scientifically provable than intelligent design. They are both theories. It is a matter of belief and faith. Why is one allowable and the other not? Wake up, folks! Intellectual freedom is under attack. See the movie and judge for yourself.
