The Fall Guy (2024)
Absolutely loved it
I've felt a bit rough today yet still wanted to see the early ish screening in IMAX so worth it! I own all the other David Leitch films I'll definitely want to own this one. So well made entertainment, great humor most of the way through a couple times I was the only one laughing, all of the action was outstanding I'm sure all the stunt work was fun, and great dialogue! Pretty sure this is David's first PG-13 film all the others are rated R, great for more audience I even got to see next to a beautiful mom that smelled really good that was nice she seemed to enjoy quite a bit too. I even biked home despite having 4 hours sleep and was achy; well worth it no matter what I hope others love Fall Guy as well!
Challengers (2024)
Sensational, enticing and worthy of awards!
I loved this so much even for someone that barely is into sports everything about it is well done and engaging great cinema - so glad I saw in RPX. The soundtrack is genius, acting is magnificent deserving of praise, the screenplay is great even the guy that sat next to me said that afterwards and I very much enjoy anything by Luca the director is very talented! I love Mike Faist performance I want to see more of him and Zendaya is a gem in anything I've seen her in she deserves the Emmy's she's won.
I'm not sure why there's a few top ones that gave this a 5 Challengers genuinely is worthy of any praise for every aspect especially story and wonderful romance. Sorry if my review isn't a certain way if it makes a difference I have autism I appreciate movies differently.
Boy Kills World (2023)
Excellent wild ride
I believe this counts as one man army and if so Beekeeper was better for that aspect this year although Boy Kills World is definitely awesome! Bill Skarrsgard is so talented in anything I've seen him in, you can tell he's in exceptional shape which is impressive always and admirable. This has some bonkers amazing action sequences, great story, some silliness, and highly entertaining; this deserves solid ratings by many! I think it's wonderful how Famke Jensen worked with Bill before years before on a series I forget the name but I'm glad they did again in this extraordinary action experience that is a lot of fun.
Knuckles (2024)
Shocked by the negativity!
This hits the spot and maybe meant not to be taken too seriously. I love the soundtrack a lot, the humor, wild action, and epic entertainment vibes packed in! I can't believe this got so much hate in the last couple days since release I mean there's a little bit of ridiculousness but overall it's well made all around. Knuckles (Idris Elba) is so great and I really appreciate the fun vibes it's so enriching of heartwarming nature; to me the crew behind everything perfected it. Adam Polly is wonderful in anything as well, I genuinely don't understand the the hate this got it's a pure blast in the bulk of it.
Ripley (2024)
Now I see why my mom wanted me to watch
The only time I didn't mind black and white was a few years ago I watched the original Twilight Zone that was exceptional, this is definitely superb too! Lighthouse was another great one that's a movie yet very well made, I generally I don't watch that format. Anyway Ripley is magnificent I especially love Andrew Scott he's wonderful in anything I see him in and I agree with someone else cinematography is phenomenal! Only adaption I've seen about the subject was Talented Mr. Ripley with Matt Damon, been awhile though this Netflix seems fairly different very worth all the praise might even be part of the Emmy's.
Abigail (2024)
Hit the spot!
So glad this is doing well Abigail is an awesome horror experience and the reference to brat pack was glorious! I love all the other films by the directors even the last couple Scream movies are great. Such a wild ride from start to finish and magnificent honoring for Angus Cloud, I'll miss him he was wonderful in Euphoria. The grotesque nature of everything was very satisfying, the dialogue was great, solid story, fantastic directing, and all enriching entertainment that deserves to be seen by many/appreciated. A side note too I've had too this helped me get my mind off from some difficult days I've had recently.
The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare (2024)
An awesome Guy Ritchie film!
Saw in RPX earlier today not sure why barely others were seeing maybe it was just that showing. For a movie that has to do with nazi's and a group that takes them out I very much enjoyed this take on taking down a bunch of nazi's very fun thrill ride all around deserving of the high ratings! I especially loved the main leads like Alan Ritcherson and Henry Cavil were wonderful plus was surprised to see Alex Petiffer I thought he wasn't acting anymore. Guy Ritchie always has done great films at least most of them. Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is one of the best war types I've seen, I hope many others appreciate it.
Dope (2015)
Fantastic gem!
I'm probably in the minority but I love this movie a lot, I wish I reviewed years ago I had seen years back just wasn't reviewing back then. Even for someone that's not the target audience I thoroughly enjoy everything about Dope, the music is fire, the awkward ways I appreciate for someone who's an oddball, the goofy behavior is fantastic, and the crime aspect feels light/stylish which is worthy of praise! Dope is an enriching superb experience Im surprised one said it's overrated I don't see that at all it's very well filmed all around and has some brilliant business ethics mashed in very well.
Date and Switch (2014)
Pretty enjoyable
Fairly enjoyable buddy movie some nice vibes in the bulk of it. I love the cast, not much great dialogue though but smooth silliness and has some great moments! Definitely a great one for supporters of gay folks, the main actor is awesome along with the best friend I enjoy him anything I've seen him it. I admire Zach he even directed an excellent horror in the last couple years for some reason can't think of the name. This has a lot of charm/wonderfulness mashed in well I'm shocked the low rating yet it is fair too. I think it's magnificent how Dakota starred in How to be Single a couple years before this both are wonderful!
American Honey (2016)
Thoroughly enjoyable, awesome all around!
Was watching last night while feeling groggy but passed out when it was on live now watching through HBO app. I love that someone else mentioned Kids from the 90's that is a dark one and that top reviewer said took shower afterwards American Honey shows examples of people that aren't as successful in life and plenty of partying from youngsters. I imagine there's mixed opinions yet this is a very well filmed adventure makes me jealous of everyone involved since I have autism I don't have much a social life, these type of stories fascinate me they deserve paise sad how much struggling there is mashed in!
The Watch (2012)
Love this movie!
Alikiva Schaffer directed such a great movie! I watched so many times when it was on HBO now it's on Hulu. The cast is magnificent, strange how Billy Crudup is considered uncredited that doesn't make sense since he's in a few scenes, love how much fun this movie is great energy, and nice how Jonah Hill looks great after The Sitter just rewatched that before that. The Watch is so damn good crazy how it's got a 5.7 rating deserves better yet some of it is ridiculous, for something with aliens and great vibes I'm surprised didn't have a sequel would've been awesome everyone moved on though which is understandable I'd still recommend.
The Sitter (2011)
Love this movie so much!
Jonah Hill is always a gem I remember seeing in the theater and used to be on HBO years ago now it's on Hulu. Perfect feel good fun a lot packed in the 82 minute runtime, I enjoy most movies by David Gordon Green. I'm shocked this has a 5.6 rating truly deserves above a 6 at least. The Sitter is a wild comedy that I don't get tired of could easily watch feel-comedies so much they have a great glow and charm that is always endearing always to brighten moods! Wild to see how big Jonah was back then and nowadays he's looking different I've always loved him regardless of his size, great choice for 420 as well.
Terminator Salvation (2009)
"The Day the world went away" trailer song is fire!
Even before this came out I remember being excited just based off the trailer being epic, only seen a few times since then and it's unfortunate it got hate despite the numerous flaws it's an awesome film! To me the dialogue is the only thing a little ridiculous at times, the bulk of everything is enjoyable, well filmed, beautiful in many anspects and could be considered a guilty pleasure. Crazy to think Anton Yelchin was so young I miss him was an exceptional actor. Christian Bale is always top notch in anything and the apocalypse vibes are great. Most the Terminator films didn't have them as much pretty sure this is the only one any others had glimpse of the robot take overs that was different for sure. Fun one deserves better!
Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV (2024)
Crazy to think about most of it and so well made!
For someone whom grew up loving various kid shows I had no clue about the darkness behind everything. So much went on it's wild and uncomfortable. Plenty are harsh towards me cause I have autism and often misunderstood/ easy target which is unfortunate - I can't imagine what it's like to be normal person being as bad in public settings for years like Dan Schneider. It bugs me the downfall of Amanda Byrnes career, hope she's ok nowadays! I'm glad this documentary mini series blew up in the last month, it's well made, needs to be known and deserves the high ratings. Shocked by some of the events and would still recommend the series.
Serendipity (2001)
So damn enjoyable!
Even for someone very lonely I love romance movies and this one is top notch! I enjoy faith, spiritually and the charm that goes with all of the wholesome vibes. I had watched this in the middle of the night around a month ago just didn't have the energy to review then, figured I should now cause it's lovely and needed a nice one to check out. Serendipity is everything a romance movie should be! The directing, vibes, the fact that Jeremy Piven and John Cusack were in Grosse Point Blank together years before and the magnificent connections that often happen. I'm surprised John isn't married he's a gem in anything!
Uptown Girls (2003)
Love this movie!
I watched around a month ago in the middle of the night just was groggy and rewatching now live to me it's under-appreciated I'm shocked by the loads of 7's rating it's a wonderful film about being a nanny and other charming aspects mashed in well. Dakota Fanning has always been a wonderful actress and I miss Brittany Murphy she was magnificent in any role I've seen, been meaning to see more with her in it. It's quite impressive how Dakota has so much dialogue for her age and she's gone still going strong. Boas Yakin directed a really sweet mix of comedy, drama, a little bit of romance sure it's got some flaws but I enjoy all of it Uptown Girls deserves better!
Civil War (2024)
I love anything by Alex Garland - I own all his previous films!
I cried a little bit during a couple parts which is rare for me, I wonder if Civil War will make an impact on others. Saw in IMAX which was exceptional except for a minute into the trailer for Maxine the entire screen went green for a bit until one of the employees fixed it. I loved Civil War it's so well filmed, great story that frightened me about the possibility of America going through such circumstances, amazing soundtrack I'd love to have a couple of the songs, emotions were fantastic, and entertainment value hit the spot! I'm glad this has high ratings it's well deserved. I never knew how important the press is and how refreshing some of it was; I'll definitely want to own when available.
One Piece '3D2Y': Âsu no shi o koete! Rufi nakamatachi no chikai (2014)
Baffled no one else reviewed
Such a magnificent movie about the 2 year time skip and my gosh I love the characters in it among many other great aspects! For One Piece fans this is a perfect chaotic well ensemble of glorious vibes a lot to do with the world government, training, wild action, and amazing perspectives on various events that didn't occur in the series or at least wasn't shown. I definitely need to watch all the other One Piece movies along with everything related to it. Well deserving of the 7.5 rating on IMDb, I imagine others appreciated it too cause most of it is worthy of the entertainment value packed in!
One Piece: Episode of Alabaster - Sabaku no Ojou to Kaizoku Tachi (2007)
Excellent extra to the story
A few months ago I was really into watching the series and figured I should get around to the movies it seems there's a lot of them to go with at least Netflix has a handful to enjoy. Alabaster arc was pretty good except a little to much of the desert nice to see some of the same bits that were from the series, I need to see the one about the 2 year gap after the crew disappeared that will be good. I've been to watch the movies and live action this one is awesome for its vibes! The music, colors, great story, wonderful characters, and intriguing enough all of the One Piece content overall is worth it!
The First Omen (2024)
Great madness!
I saw in the last few hours and wow such a wild horror experience; some similarities to Immaculate and this is better! I like how Nell Tiger Free starred in The Servant on Apple TV that had a lot to do with babies and a fair amount of evil supernatural vibes I'd recommend that as well. Only a little annoying thing to my experience was how a couple woman laughed at terror a few times even were talking to much luckily in the 2nd half they stopped which was perfect since it was the most pivotal most epic section to the movie. An excellent satanic horror about the devils number and nuns all of which was well directed!
Monkey Man (2024)
Quite satisfying
Dev Patel is quite talented and damn I loved the music so much! I had seen in RPX mid afternoon I was surprised not much people were there I hope plenty get to see the film it's a wild experience especially for me since I barely see films about foreigners, I was intrigued by the trailer and the fact that Jordan Peele produced Monkey Man. I loved the mask, one man army aspect, exceptional directing, and great flow of story! It's a little weird at times but overall quite worth it such a unique fun thrill ride that is tense in all the right ways I'm so glad these of movies have become a more known genre of one man armies they are quite awesome.
Modern Family (2009)
Been meaning to watch - It's so smooth!
I needed a long show to get into I'm not sure why I didn't watch many years ago I've done that before although I generally have health struggles. Modern Family hits the spot it's so well written, great parenting, all the main characters have a connection which is lovely, the directing is exceptional, holy cow this show is so enjoyable I'm glad I felt well enough to watch and this deserved the 22 big awards! Nice that it has an 8.5 rating and that it breaks the 4th wall like The Office did in most episodes I'm pretty sure. I originally watched Ty Burell in Dawn of the Dead remake he had the best personality in that truly great casting in that and in Modern Family he's wonderful always.
Alex Edelman: Just for Us (2024)
I love his voice!
Alex Edelman seems like he'd be perfect for a Big Mouth voice, I watched that series recently it's very good! Anyway I was interested in this the last weeks it's been advertised plenty on HBO. I like how bold Alex is, ironically too my name is Alex although the comedian is quite funny and very entertaining at his craft. I appreciate the mix of stories, cleanness, very silly, and sometimes bold mashed well. This is a great stand up I should watch more of them I miss a few classic ones like Dane Cook, Lewis Black, Jim Gaffigan, and Louis CK before he got cancelled. I'm not sure about others but I love this, glad autism is mentioned since I have it.
Immaculate (2024)
Pretty good horror experience!
I had fun with this one for the most part, I don't understand why someone would take their teenager to this they don't belong there's plenty other movies they can see. Sydney Sweeney is excellent in any genre she should've won for Euphoria! I don't do well with subtitles yet sill enjoyed quite a bit. This is a very weird priest horror film and fairly satisfying the way things play out. I understand why this has some hate but it deserves to be a cult classic in my opinion has greatness packed well. I like how there was cute couple that sat near me and were to be fun be around some audiences are quite awesome and I've had some very rude ones luckily the latter is less common. Would recommend regardless of anything.
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (2024)
Spectacular creature feature continuation!
Was my first time seeing 2 RPX movies in the same day cause I saw Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire a couple hours before which was great too and I absolutely love how in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire had a lot more to do with the creatures. I didn't see Minus one cause I don't do well with subtitles, I throughly enjoy these ones they deserve to be praised! I very much enjoy Adam Wingard films especially You're Next, The Guest, Blair Witch remake was better than original, and the previous Godzilla Vs Kong was great too! I love that Dan Steven's was a big part of this he starred in The Guest and enjoyable in anything. I hope plenty appreciate this film it deserves it!
Edit I got to re watch in imax made me appreciate the movie even more, I love sounds and I'm glad I've seen the last few Godzilla x Kong/ Vs ones in imax!
