I like the characters but the location should be East Side New York City for me. Stories of the super rich is more to my liking. Not eastern section of the borough of Brooklyn. It more real especially in the upper ranks of the police department, where political influence is obeyed by those in high places! I only watched the 1st episode and a commander(Deputy Inspector)wanting to serve in the poor sections of the city is ridiculous in the 2022 era of NYC. There are way to many cop shows and movies showing the poor neighborhoods of Chicago, NYC already. The ranks above captain is a political influence/controlled by all the elected officials of the city, where the mayor is the head. The upper ranks in the police department are board line politicians to in many cases.

Update: After watching episodes 1-3, I lower my ratings from 8 to 6 because the writing makes the Deputy Inspector to righteous and the Deputy Mayor seems to be all over the place in terms of who he really represents - Public Housing Representative. I not that interest as earlier episode 1. Episode 2 & 3 was to far from reality for me!

Episode 2 was unrealistic. No new promoted to Deputy Inspector would tell a newspaper reporter dirty laundry to get the Police Commissioner in political trouble.

Episode 3 was not research correctly on Glock pistols. The modification parts does not look like that. It is very small part, not such a big part. The extended magazine was taped!

Episode 4 was just totally terrible! From Deputy Inspector mom holding the sign and wanting her to get married so she can have grand children to her taking control of hostage rescue negotiations! She is now portray as an outlier who is self righteous and pompous! I have lower my rating still again to 3!

I watched Episodes 5 & 6 now, it has deteriorate even more to be a woke tv series! LOL! Lower my rating now to 2 stars!

I heard CBS has cancel this show after season 1. If it was more realistic of what is happening in New York City, I think it would have gotten a second season, instead of a fairy tale type woke police political drama.

Big mistake in direction is the numerous times Kate could obtain guns but they pass on it and choose to be unarmed when being chased by heavy armed pursuers. Also, mistake is the villains are dress in all black in a green forest. Communication works for the villain side but not the good guys side! The U. S. military, CIA nor law enforcement has no rescue efforts, plans either. They are all alone in the U. S. with a brigadier general in charge! I guess the general is shunned from everyone? The security guards are carrying barebone AKs and handguns while the villians are armed M4 carbines, high tech sniper rifles that are spec out.

Epix's War Of The World TV Series. Season 2 is turning to be worse then that of Season one. It is basically two street gangs having a fighting in their neighborhoods in France with U. S. close quarter SWAT assault weapons(Colt M4 Commando) mostly and a couple of scope out .308 sniper rifles. The aliens are using the same weapons as the survivalists. Both sides are in normal casual street clothing. Only difference between alien and humans is a quarter size tattoo black ink "target" sign on the hand. The Boston Scientific dogs are still very mechanical, slow and smallish. LOL! It is so bad in every way that you what to know if it has a chance to be better in the next episode! Season 2 continues with the dating, relationships theme as a subplot to the survival theme that is in Season One. Dialogue is 80% of the scenes with a lot of what if's, doubts, leaders question why they are the leaders, what we do nows, search for family members type based dialogue continues from Season One. ;) Action type battles are maybe 5-7% of the time in each episode in Season 2, it is increasing tremendously from that of Season One where only 1 out 4 episodes had any action in it at all.
