The Amazing Spider-Man (1977)
great!!!
i also loved the spiderman tv series/movies from the 70's. i had a mean crush on nicholas hammond.
God Bless the Child (1988)
it's available at amazon on DVD
this movie, when i first saw it on TV, was very moving.
right now i'm going through financial troubles too. i am recalling scenes from the movie in dealing with my money crunch. this movie is very poignant. dealing with issues of the day. recalling that you can not receive a welfare check at a p.o. box. times have changed from the depression era. if you have no address or telephone you're almost invisible. employers do not want to hire homeless people for fear of thievery. and if you have no number then how can they contact you? luckily for me i'm writing about my situation and how to cope with it. i plan to use humor. cuz in the end humor and prayer keep you going.
Wonder Woman (1975)
best superheroine of all times--possible spoiler--not really imho
i am soooo happy to see that wonder woman is now available on DVD!!! i've waited so long to see the show again. when will the next two seasons show up? it used to be that if you wanted to buy it you had to go through that video company. and you had to buy it one video at a time at a high cost.now we can just buy it in one lump sum. my sister and i loved watching wonder woman. she showed us that you didn't have to be a boy to have an adventure. my favorite was when things were added to her costume such as the cape, the horsebackriding costume, or (do you recall!!) the scuba diving outfit. also a favorite-- (spoiler spoiler spoiler spoiler spoiler spoiler)
when people find out who she is. it's bound to happen in any superhero storyline
Battle of the Network Stars (1976)
loved battle of the network stars
i have very fond memories of watching battle of the network stars.
i was saddened to see that series not return. it was something that everyone enjoyed watching favorite TV stars of the era. a modern day version would be mtv basketball jam. back then this was REALITY SHOW at it's best. seeing stars play simon says doing funny things was hysterical. back then having two male stars face each other in that game as if to kiss was risqué.
unlike today where there is no limit unfortunately. another favorite was seeing our stars do relay races, tug-of-war, etc...in that era networks took care of their stars by putting them out in front. this series boosted all networks and starts. today the reality shows don't do that.
