Fantastic show. If you like love stories and those that involve traditional, "clean" romance, you'll love this. It's practically a Chinese soap opera it's such a roller coaster ride, but it's absolutely fantastic. The show actually has several thought-provoking points, messages, and story lines, which I really appreciated. It makes you think about the meaning of love, and makes you want to make big romantic gestures.
I found it interesting that this was filmed as a TV show - to me it was more like a 49-episode movie, rather than a traditional (American) TV show. I originally started watching this because it was on a list of Chinese TV shows recommended for Americans learning Mandarin, but I got so sucked into the story I found myself wanting to watch it more than my American TV shows and singing along to the Chinese songs on the soundtrack. One of the most fun language-learning experiences I've had to date!
I will say that the last 2 episodes were disappointing quality-wise. However, I still heartily recommend the show overall.
