John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023)

A movie completely lacking of a storyline yet with a play time of 2h 45m.

The main character is shot hundreds of times at close range and yes we know he is wearing a cevlar suit, so do his enemies... and nobody thinks to aim for the head ?? And his enemies are wearing body armor yet are all killed with a single shot mr Wick is hit by speeding cars at least 6 times in 20 minutes, and unless i am mistaken cevlar doesn't protect against broken bones yet he gets up and walks away every time... even after falling from a 3rd story window onto a parked car and onto the street he gets up and walks away.

And last but not least he falls down 220 stairs and still gets up like nothing happened and climbs those stairs again

Come on! At least try to make it a bit credible A 5.5 at best.

If you like non stop fight scenes.. go for it.. otherwise, don't waste your money !

How anybody can rate this with an 8 is beyond me... The entire script of this movie can't have been more than 1 or 2 pages.

It is a non stop fight scene.. and most of them are so ridiculous and unbelievable and in many places badly choreographed.. you can often see the asian guys wait and hesitate for the right moment before jumping in on a fight.. they truly annoyed me... John Wick should have been dead 100 times already with all the beatings he takes in this movie.. and still he walks around with only a few minor scratches... And WHAT are they all fighting over ?! Everybody is fighting everybody.. I couldn't keep the good guys and the bad guys apart any more...

And what was up with the dog being shot ?! He was wearing body Armour.. and it looked like she took the bullet from the protective jacket... BUT when you see the dog on the ground it appears that he has been shot in the head... and she seems to think the dog is dead.... even upset about that fact... and then 5 minutes later.. the dog is up and running again and attacking bad guys !?

People always ask me how I can be a James Bond fan, because the stunts and action scenes in those movies can be a bit over the top and not very realistic.. Well give me a Bond movie over this crap any day of the week !!

Boring, didn't even finish it

I don't know what everybody is raving about..This being a great thriller and a fantastic movie..

I watched it because I love Michiel Huisman. But I was so bored and disappointed with this movie that I didn't even finish it.

It felt to me like a bunch of new wave hippies in a room talking crap and going nowhere... It was building up to nothing at all..

So after about 1 hour into the movie I decided to end the misery ! Maybe the "thrilling" part came after that.. I don't know and frankly I don't care either... waste of time for me...

I don't like movies that take place in one confined space... I had the same experience with "Locke" with Tom Hardy the other day.. A movie about a man sitting in his car for 90 minutes taking and making phone calls.... oh boy.. and people were raving about that one too..... I don't get it !

Looking (2016 TV Movie)

Loved the series, great to see where the characters have gone with their lives.

I have always been a fan of the series...and I was somewhat disappointed when they announced that it was canceled. So it was nice to see this movie and get some kind of closure and see where the characters have gone after the show... Unfortunately the movie was more about Patrick, the rest of the crew was all there.. but they all played minor parts.. there were no big story lines about them..

Patrick left SF and moved to Denver after his break up with Kevin, because going into the office with your ex wasn't something he could handle. Now 9 months later he comes back to SF to see Eddie and Agustin get married.

The minute he gets back into town and meets up with his old friends... telling them he's been single for 9 months... the slut in him comes out . He picks up this young boy in a club and takes him home to have sex. After that night he starts thinking that maybe he needs some closure with Kevin. So he decides to text him and meet up for some coffee.

That meeting is pretty awkward and also a bit painful to watch. Patrick pretends that he wanted to meet to settle some stuff about the APP both men created together. Kevin saw right through him. It was so very clear that Kevin was still in love with Patrick. And Kevin was pretty harsh in telling Patrick that he never gave their relationship a real chance. That Patrick was the kind who runs away when he gets scared. Patrick tells Kevin that he "knew" that Kevin couldn't have been monogamous in their relationship and that is why he walked away... Kevin lets Patrick know that he really wanted to have tried ! Then he offers Patrick a great job back in SF.. He kisses Patrick tenderly and walks away. From that moment on I was so hoping those 2 would get back together.

At the wedding party in the club.. I was hoping that when Patrick was on the dance floor.. he would turn around and Kevin would be there to get him back.. but all Patrick saw were the longing eyes of Richie... who is in a long term relationship. I never quit liked Richie.. I don't know why... but his gloomy way of being, his lack of showing any kind of emotions, always being a bit too distant for my taste...

So the ending for me was really disappointing ! What was also disappointing was that this movie was a bit too much about patrick.. and the rest of the cast were only "extra's" ! Where in the series there were multiple story lines about the different people in the group of friends.. this time 90% of the story line was about Patrick.. and the wedding was a small side line. Shame we didn't get to see what the others did in the time apart.

Maybe another movie next year to set it all straight ;-)

Sicario (2015)

Didn't even bother finishing this movie.. bored out of my mind !

This movie was hyped up so much I felt I had to see it.. So as soon as it became available "on demand" I went for it..

The beginning of the movie was very promising... so I thought wow.. this is going to be a great movie..

10 minutes later I already started to doubt that.. I was yawning and having trouble to keep my focus on the movie, and not take out my Iphone and start to do other things...

After 30 minutes I was already bored out of my mind.. and thinking to myself.. when is this "great movie" everybody is raving about going to start ?

Close to 1 hr. into the movie I had enough and I quit it..

I truly don't get what everybody is raving about and giving it high numbers on this site.... I guess it is a matter of taste.. this one was not mine !! Waste of my money :-(

How this movie got such a high rating on IMDb is beyond me.... All these "critics" before me that call this a "masterpeace" !? Oh please...who's butt are you crawling up into ? Have they been watching the same crap I just did...the same crap I couldn't even finish... I stopped the agony half way through ! I wanted to watch this movie because of all the big names in the cast...and maybe the acting wasn't all that bad...but the script ? OMG ! Who wrote this pile of dirt ? And they even got nominated for a Palm D'Ore ??? Well if this is what they nominate for best picture then I can't even imagine what kind of fools do the selecting for those awards....

White House Down (2013)

Not as bad as everybody told me !

I wasn't that eager to watch this movie, because I had seen some clips on TV shows reviewing it, and read reviews in newspapers...and none of them were very positive.

But on a rainy Sunday night, nothing else to do...i thought to myself...why not !? Have an open mind and go and see it.

And i must say I was pleasantly surprised !!! YES every normal thinking adult must know that the things you see in this movie are outrageous and simply couldn't ever happen that way. But so is most of what happens in any Bond movie ! So just forget about that part of it all...and decide if the movie is entertaining, and i thought it was !

Channing Tatum, James Woods, Maggie Gyllenhaal and little Joey King did really good work ! The only negative for me in this movie was Jamie Foxx, and I don't even know what it was that bothered me about him in this movie, but I just didn't think he was the best choice for that part !
