200 American (2003)
Great!
15 December 2005
This is a wonderful film. Especially since it was made on a low budget, it's outstanding as a film. Yes some lighting troubles and views, but sometimes compromise is best. The acting of this film is great, and the flow is continuous and not choppy. My only problem with the film is that it shifts from main focus on Conrad>Ian to Ian>Michael. But the writing is just great, little hints of jokes here and there and though it isn't a comedy, it's still great. The chemistry is well done as well, especially considering that most (if not all) of the male leads were all straight. Still, this film rocks; the DVD could have been better, perhaps the Commentary louder than the film, but this is still a great piece of work. This film had NO budget and was created with everything being free, given that it's amazing that the actors they found were as good as the ywere. The leads were all attractive enough for the roles, and brought something new to the table. I'll definitely start looking up more 3rd Productions Productions and more from the lead actors, who were not only good looking but fabulous actors with talent.

Loved it
12 September 2005
I'm not normally a fan of vampire movies but I found myself really loving this movie. The casting was extraordinary, the designs and elements were fantastic, and everything about this was great. Yes there were some incorrect errors and such, but all in all, it did not matter. This movie is a wonderful piece of artwork to all that worked on it. Its pure Anne Rice written all over it, and I'm happy that not too much was tampered with than for the book, I know a lot was, but to be it didn't matter much; I loved the acting, the casting, all of it. I'd definitely recommend this movie, if you want to see a great vampire movie; this will do the trick.

It's a great depiction of her life
11 September 2005
People, you'll like it if you like who it is about. This show is called "The Ashlee Simpson Show" - Don't watch it if you don't actually like Ashlee and/or don't care for any of her work. Ashlee is a singer, actress, and a dancer. She's been in many productions, and has been on the radios more than once. She has a right to act, sing, dance, and anything else she wants to do. If you don't like her, then don't watch her. This show depicts her life during creating her first album and its follow-up. It shows what battles she went through, boys she went through, and what it takes to work a tour and everything else involved in a professional, successful, music career. If you like Ashlee, you'd like this show. If you don't...then why even bother watching the show to comment on it?

Beautiful Film
11 September 2005
This is just a great, fun, lovely film. It captures the true essence of the decade and of the people, and tells a beautiful love story of two sisters with two sailors. Though this film may only be in Black and White, it definitely doesn't count against it now in modern days. The main basic purpose of the movie is timeless. This movie features great acting, beautiful song and dance numbers, and great design work and film shots. Follow the Fleet is also comical, there are funny moments, moments that will make you laugh, but other moments where the acting just gets you so involved into the storyline. Its amazing how though this movie may be set in a certain decade, how it can affect those today. If you want to see something great, check this out.

Fantastic Four (I) (2005)
Fantastic
8 July 2005
This is an awesome movie; if you love the comic and the cartoon; You-will-love-this-movie. The characters are the characters; the theme is the theme; the Fantastic Four ARE the Fantastic Four, and although many other reviewers think this is an awful film; they most likely would not like the comic or cartoon then for that matter. The design elements were great, the Special Effects and Technical Effects were beautiful; the storyline was as I expected, but it had even more of a bang! I loved this film; I love the comic; I love the cartoon; this film really does honor the original Fantastic Four series.

Though the storyline may be altered; All Marvel films do that; but all together, this was fantastic.

Elektra (2005)
Good Movie
15 January 2005
Before seeing the movie I had read some negative criticism of Elektra, but after I saw it I found my bias went right out the window. I've always been a fan of all of the superhero movies out, especially since Marvel makes really great ones (yeah Catwoman and Batman and all those were good...but Marvel won't ever disappoint) - Elektra had great design elements, the acting was superb, I do wish they had provided more information, but it isn't like it's necessary. I think the other reviewers just want to know more behind what is given, but of what is given in the movie, it certainly gives enough. I really enjoyed seeing Elektra, I'm a fan of Alias somewhat, but I've seen a few of Jennifer Garner's movies, but I found Jennifer Garner really found the role very well, she had a completely different persona, and this movie really showed the evolution of Elektra Nachios. In Daredevil (which rocked), we met Elektra as a girl with her guard up, but also as a girl with a smile, then we left Elektra as a girl who was in pain and agony. But in Elektra, we met Elektra as a girl that was scorned, that had a lot of mental anguish, and we saw Elektra eventually become happy again, maybe not to the same as before, but we saw what she could truly become. So overall, this movie rocked. 9/10!

Daredevil (2003)
Great Film!
31 December 2004
I just bought the Director's Cut on DVD, and the movie is still a good movie even a year or so after it came out. The design of the movie is artistically done, the acting is great, it's a great credit to Marvel Comics and the films, and it's an honor and well made adaption of the comic. I honestly don't understand why people want to say that this movie isn't good, yes there are bad points but there are many good points as well. If you look at this film without any bias, and if you are a fan of the comic, you'll understand this movie is a great movie as a movie, and a great piece of art. Overall, I give this movie a 10 out of 10, because it definitely deserves it.

Good movie but really shouldn't of been remade.
4 July 2004
This is a great movie for movies' sake...but its really just not of good material to be remade. This movie had a good script, great acting, fun and comedy and suspense and drama, and it had an all-star cast...but why make this movie if the writers and director didn't want it at all to be like the original movie! The original movie was sad and dramatic, and it was like a horror film. The screwed up ALL of the characters in this movie, changed EVERYTHING around, it just wasn't a remake! It was a new movie based like the first one but it wasn't at all the same movie! The ending was completely different, don't make a feel-good ending for a feel-good movie if you aren't at all GETTING THE BOOK AUTHOR'S INTENTIONS ACROSS! THE THROUGH-LINE WASN'T THE SAME. The original movie was about society and a mother's hold on life. This movie is about a man's weakness and a woman's strength. So overall, this was a good movie if you want to see a good movie...it just wasn't worth remaking because of the script and director's direction.

GREAT MOVIE!
4 July 2004
I don't understand why a lot of people didn't like this movie. The fact is, if you didn't like the main point of the TV series, or you don't like the main concept of the movie, you shouldn't see the movie! It was very colorful (to represent that its based off of the original TV series), it's very well thought, and it's good for entertainment! I loved this movie because they really made it seem similar to the TV series in different ways.

Yes, some of it may not make the best of logical sense, but it captures comedy, action, and romance. It is a fun movie and really interesting to keep your eyes glued to the screen! The acting is great, the script is well-written, and the direction of the director is really well done! 10 out of 10!

This movie had such a great storyline and direction!
4 July 2004
This movie had everything in it! I was so annoyed when I found out the 2004 remake wasn't anything like this movie! I loved what Ira Levin and the makers of this movie were saying. The movie was so truthful about a mother's hold on life and her hopes and dreams, and of her friendships...I really wish this movie could have been explored more with different endings and takes on it, but I really loved this movie!

The casting in this film was great! The actors and actresses stood truthful to their roles, Joanna and Walter Eberhart really seemed like a true couple, and everyone that Joanna met in this town called Stepford really acted unrealistic (which was good) - Everyone that Walter met seemed too dominant (they were power-hungry men) - So I really loved how every woman and man they met had been changed.
