Thought provoking beautiful film

Rarely we see script, acting and directing all go hand in hand and this short film is a perfect example. Kudos to Viola Harris for the brilliant portrayal as Anna. This film clearly shows how the society sees and treats the older people. Smiled at many parts and got teary at the end. Made me think about the elderly and their feelings. Eager to read the short story now.

Cinematography and music supports the story than overpowering it. Great film. A very touching story. The team should be proud. I recommend you see it! What is your next film Alves?

My rating: 10/10

I watched this film at one of the festivals. I didn't have any expectations for this film before watching and I am glad I didn't have any. Comedy is not about one liners. While wit lightens the telling, it doesn't alone make it a true comedy.

The film didn't get any better till the end. Actors did what they could do to this script, otherwise the film would have been much worse. Writer and director has to first understand that even comedy has some structure to follow (like drama) and that is completely missing. This is another perfect example that shows comedy cannot be forced.

Writing: 3/10, Acting: 7/10

Don't trust anyone... Life is full of UNCERTAINTY

I watched this film at the Las Vegas Independent Film Festival in the Student Film category.

Festival films are normally artsy-fartsy, but this film belongs to the "Hollywood" category. It was clean entertainment right from the beginning. The plot is about four people who are involved in a heist. The film shows only the aftermath of the heist. Even though this plot has been told many times, the way the story was told made it more interesting. The director definitely had some style. Non-linear approach and fast paced editing supported the story well. Actors did a decent job. The lead actor dialog delivery could have been better; luckily she didn't have that many lines.

The music lends the film the right ambiance. The film is mostly B&W, but there was a mix of certain colors (red & blue) at some places to establish a stylistic film noir works well.

My normal rating would have been 7/10. But this is a student film, almost made with no budget – one room, four actors and no other production values – and it still entertained the audience for fifteen minutes. So: 8/10.
