Bob's Burgers: Amelia (2023)
Another great episode
Louise's character shines brightest when she stands up for herself and others. She's always looking for adventure where others seem scared of the potential danger.
This episode highlights a quality in Louise's character we saw in Amelia. And just like Amelia had her detractors, so did Louise in the form of mansplain wayne.
They didn't call it out directly, but it's very clear his role in this episode was to represent the nah sayers and mansplainers who can't help themselves, and don't shut up long enough to truly witness or admire the greatness they try so desperately to talk over and downplay.
Louise is one of the best characters in the show, and this episode shows us a softer side to her beaming character.
How I Met Your Mother: Knight Vision (2013)
In 9 years, Ted hasn't learned anything
Toxic Ted at it again. Ted acts as if all women are good for is hooking up, is he trying to be the new Barney?
When this woman has her life crumbling around her, he's upset that his night was ruined because they didn't have sex? A caring person wouldn't have worried about that, wouldn't have even tried sleeping with her, they would have let her grieve and not treated it like a chore, even though they just met.
Makes you wonder if the limited time the mother has in life wasn't a blessing with how Ted acts.
How I Met Your Mother: Bad Crazy (2013)
It's important to know people
It's pretty obvious ACAB and this episode perfectly captured how dangerous they really are. All cops should be be locked up, if not something harsher.
Ted wasted his time with that crazy and paid the price. Hopefully people take this dramatic recreation to heart.
How I Met Your Mother: The Goat (2008)
Ted was out of line
The bro code is nonsense first and foremost. While it's obvious that Barney is a womanizer, ted is almost worse because of his lack of self-awareness of his own transgressions towards women.
In this case, Robin is her own person, Barney has, up to this point, embraced Robin as a friend, and treated her with a bit more respect than most women. His terribleness aside, he has more chemistry with Robin than her and ted ever had.
There are no "dibs" when it comes to people. If two (or more) people like each other, despite who they may have been with in the past, than they have every right to see where things can go.
Toxic Ted was just wrong on this one.
The Good Place: The Book of Dougs (2019)
The all but called out the problem by name
"Don't you understand? The Bad Place isn't tampering with points, they don't have to, because every day the world gets a little more complicated, and being a good person gets a little harder"
The Bad Place doesn't need to tamper with the points because of capitalism. The Doug of the past lived in a world without it, and it was easy to be good. But capitalism is the root of most of the worlds problems, from wars, slavers, ceo's, corporations, and so on. All BAD Things that contribute to the destruction of earth and corruption of people.
This Episode all but named capitalism out for the evil atrocity it is.
This is a great show!
Family Guy: Trump Guy (2019)
That was a BEAUTIFUL episode!!!!
The most unfair thing in the whole episode was the joke about confusing Meg for chris christie. She deserves better than that!
This episode is very reminiscent of an old Simpsons episode where Homer beat up another worthless idiot that didn't belong in the white house. And of course every dig at trump was accurate.
Venom (2018)
I felt like I should have been high when watching this mess
I don't know how anyone could find this movie good with how uncohesive the story line was. It's like the writers were using improv to write this screen play, while on some really messed up drugs.
Writer 1: "Yes, and then the little girl gets the symbiote"
Writer 2: "Yes, and then cheese falls out of the sky"
Writer 3: "Yes, and I farted"
Writers 1 & 2: *giggling like school girls*
I've seen cheaply made b horror movies that made more sense.
Lucifer (2016)
I like this show but
Season 1 was great, really well done. Season 2 and 3 ran for too many episodes. Broadcast networks ruin TV shows with needing over 10 or 12 episodes. All the extra fluff makes it really hard to enjoy the show.
My complaining might make my rating seem weird, but really, this show is great without all the extra side nonsense.
I just hope with the 10 episodes on netflix for season 4, it can get back to what Season 1 Started.
