After the Pandemic (2022)
Total garbage
"Five years" after everyone has supposedly died from a virus, the lawns are all still neatly mowed, the corpses have not rotted and still stink .. total amateur hour.
Paterson (2016)
Simply one of the best movies I've ever seen
Let me give you a quick pointer: look for the tombstone imagery echoed in the patch heads, the shape of the bus front, the sandwich tin, the post box, the bridge, and more. I have not yet read a review that is sensitive to the exquisite use of symbols in this film. I won't say more; perhaps I've given you a clue now?
The Lighthouse (2019)
Much more going on than you'd imagine
This movie, unlike most modern movies, is full of symbolism and multiple levels of understanding. The two actors are aspects of one person, both called Tom. Google "Prometheus" and find out what this movie is really about: mankind, the bright light is fire (civilisation), etc.
Lovely film, thank you.
