Kin (2021)
If you're wondering if it has 'that' in it. Yes, yes it does because of course.
And so we won't watch it. I suppose should be thankful that the scene was shown early on in the second episode so that we could cut our loses. Will they ever learn that these shows are abandoned by the masses as soon as they pull this stuff. More reason to give up on these shows disguised as entertainment but are simply indoctrination.
Hillsong: A Megachurch Exposed (2022)
Hilariously ironic that this doc is as contrived as the target
Certainly not a fan of Hillsong and the cowo style of worship. Church isn't where we go to be entertained, it is where we go to worship God. But I have to say this show comes across as extremely contrived. Just one example- Why stage the other woman in a church with all the smoke, lighting and dramatic music? Find it highly ironic that this doc is just as emotionally manipulative as Hillsong appears to be.
1883 (2021)
First two episodes had me hopeful
But the quality of the writing has nose dived and left very little to stick around for. I'm left forced to believe that the few examples of excellent work that Taylor Sheridan has shown, Hell or High Water and Sicario, were very possibly flukes.
The Accountant (2016)
If A Beautiful Mind and Jason Bourne had a baby
A movie that skirts the bounds of ridiculousness but ends up pulling it off.
Mr Inbetween (2018)
How is this show flying under the radar?
What a stellar series this is. With all the garbage out there these past few years this is a very welcome surprise. I honestly cannot think of a single criticism and I usually have plenty. As they say sometimes things come together and you end up with lightning in a bottle and that is what we have here. Damn shame this hasn't been picked up by another studio to continue after season 3.
The Tomorrow War (2021)
Chris Pratt, you are better than this.
How they continue to churn out this sort of mediocrity never ceases to surprise me.
