Perfekt friendly neighborhood Spider-Man
13 October 2020
So for context I did watch many Marvel Movies out of succession, which means I saw all Avengers Movies and even the next Spider-Man before this one. And that means, you guessed it: I was already 100% sold on Tom Holland.

I actually very much enjoyed Tobey Maguire and even Andrew Garfields Version of Spider-Man. They all brought him to life in their own way and got many parts right but I just love the energy that Tom Holland brings to these movies. He is so inquisitive, nerdy yet polite and pretty much a regular teenager that tries the best he can. He is indeed jumpy and that's what I hear people complain about him but for me it's his positive aura and outlook on things even if he overdoes it.

To his defense: He was called to one of the coolest battles with Iron Man against Captain America and between the other avengers who wouldn't be dissapointed if that was already it. So of course he tries everything he can to get back into the more exciting stuff but still he gives his best to help out where he can being the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

There are some heartfelt moments too, quite a lot actually and the bad guy is actually just a pretty regular guy who felt betrayed by the big shots and tries to fly under the radar doing the best he can to keep him and his workers employed. Vulture rocks and his actor is a great asset and his scenes together with Spider-Man towards the end are awesome. I don't wanna spoil anything but the "car-szene" is just extremely intense so props for that.

To summarize I feel that this was the perfect starting and groing point for the new Spider-Man story after the origin. Yeah it's a little heavy on the tech but in a world where you got Tony Stark creating crazy stuff left, right and center who wouldn't wanna little help starting off ?

Leaves you craving for MORE
4 June 2020
The world you are immediately thrown into as a viewer is a truly remarkable one. One that is very gruesome and miserable but an intruiging one for sure. For every gory and brutal death there is a funny scene that elevates this anime beyond most genre borders.

The art style is rough which fits perfectly, the Opening and characters are quirky but lovely. Pretty much everyone has at least a couple screws loose but else could you expect in such a dystopian world ? On top of that the animations are very good when it comes to the action sequences and the voice acting in the jap. original is outstanding. The english one still seems fine but lacks some dimension when it comes to caiman especially.

So in conclusion I would recommend this anime to everyone who wants to see something WEIRD but refreshing and very well executed, which of course is also due to the wonderful original work. The anime uses around 40 volumes of the manga so if you are craving for more thats where you can continue the joyride !

Fun little Blockbuster
1 August 2019
One of the more light heartet Marvel Movies where the stakes are not constantly world threatening and therefore leaves more room for character development and interaction. Especially liked the Concept of mysterio since I only ever heard his Name mentioned from Comic books which I sadly never read. I really want to see more of him and definitely stay until the post credit Scene.

An interesting experience
22 April 2019
To provide a Little bit of context I saw some Clips of the film on tv as a kid just About 20 years ago. Back than I was around 6 and now I'm 26 and I Always had Images of it in the back of my mind but never came to rewatch it or rather really watch and understand it for the first time.

It was a little quirky and the dialogue wasn't always that sharp, neither were the characters or the Story really. But what it lacks in those regards it makes up with a beautiful score and set design, the whole atmosphere and Concept is fascinating even to this day.

Really not a bad movie at all.

Love, Death & Robots: Zima Blue (2019)
Season 1, Episode 14

One of the best episodes
21 April 2019
The most artistic approach in both visuals and Story apart from "the witness" which I loved as well.

It is certainly stylized to the Point that it won't be to everyones taste but that is what art should be. Not for everyone. In this Episode it is actually just to understand oneself without interest in the General opinion. Very creative Story only made possible by Animation.

A wonderful episode
21 April 2019
A rare case of an open end where you know how it will end.

Not wanting to spoil anything the Animation is extraordinary, the Story fantastic, the characters relatable, the dialogue on Point and the ending oh wow the ending. Indeed a very well put together Episode and at the very least in my personal top 3 of the whole Season.

Can't do much better with a music video
4 February 2019
Since this is a Music Video every dialogue is inaudible for the audience and the whole Story has to be shortened to About 3 minutes. With those complications in mind there aren't many Music Videos that have more of an emotional Impact universally. Short but heartwarming Story with good acting Even though it has to be a Little bit corny to be more transparent and Transport clear emotions.

Honestly no one can describe whats wrong about this movie better than Mr. Plinkett. I could attempt to copy his points and mix in mine but honestly every fan of this and even none fans just anyone who watched the movie should also watch the review. One of the best things the internet has ever created.

A great episode with a terrible cliché ending
4 November 2017
Warning: Spoilers
As soon as Bob said he was gonna go down to put the power back on I said "oh god they are gonna kill him. Please don't kill him in such a cliché manner." I have seen so many movies and if you have seen only like 50 movies in your entire life than yeah it might seem like a total surprise to see Bob dying at the end, but not for me. And I bet not for many people. Movie makers have been using this scenario so many times to write a character out of the story. He is showing bravery and is so close to victory but then out of nowhere and without reason he stops 5 meters away from the exit only to TALK to his love. Like come on please stop that, why would you ever stop while being followed instead of running forward and taking everyone with you to safety. Also there are a couple of details in this episode that were stupid. First he says that it's really complicated to start up the computer and then we only see him use the arrow keys and the enter key. Wow a monkey could have done that but okay. But what really annoyed me is that you see the monsters eating Bob at the end. During that entire episode you see dead bodies all over the lab. Not a single one is being eaten they only have claw marks. so my assumption was, that they only kill but don't eat their victims. But then OF COURSE they have to eat Bob for no freaking reason just to create a more dramatic ending. Boy what a terrible eye for detail and clichés .. Also next episode the doctor isn't even being killed for absolutely NO REASON except him having survive for story purposes. That really made me angry.

But then there are the actors and they are again so incredibly good. All of them without exception play their part to the finest. And that is what makes this series so incredible. Sadly the story and details have been worse this season and filled with a bunch of clichés like the brother of max. The writers sure don't make this series so great - it's the actors and the director.

Sadly this really felt like a filler episode
31 October 2017
Warning: Spoilers
I do not understand in the slightest why this episode similar to the brother of max were necessary for this else grandiose series. It didn't bring the plot forward in any kind of way. I heard the writers of the show say that they wanted to do a similar 80s episode to movies like "the warriors". BUT WHY ? It doesn't fit at all and ruins all the momentum the show had until this point. I mean an entire episode to some randoms we see in the first episode for a couple of minutes and then never again until this moment just shows how unnecessary they were. You could just cut this whole sister thing out. Eleven was always seen alone in the first season during her flashbacks so why now all of the sudden another girl she seems to have been in a room together for some time. Not only does it feel forced and full of plot holes the only thing outstanding in this episode is of course the acting of Millie Bobby Brown who plays "Eleven". All the other actors of this "gang" are not very good .. Please never do such episodes that don't fit the tone of the series again. No new town no new stories no new cheesy characters that don't fit the tone. And never ever do filler episodes in a series that only has 9 episodes anyway. That is more than TEN FREAKING PERCENT!

Makes you wanna watch the movies again
14 May 2017
I just freshly watched this short on netflix three hours ago. At first I was a little disappointed as it was not in the same animation style but more drawn like a cartoon. But then the story, the characters, the voices and the jokes are in the way they used to be and that is great. You learn about how the Furious Five were teamed up. It was an accident or it was destiny. Really just two words for the same thing. I found it enjoyable till the last second not quite as good as the movie but really the only thing that is missing is the animation but everything else is up there. But the most important thing is it actually made me watch the movies again. Luckily the first two are on netflix as well and I just watched them before writing this review. I'm glad quite frankly to once again re watch the whole thing and just be happy about it.
