Godsend (2004)
Pro - Christian propaganda
This movie seems to have been released simply to ride on the 'moral revolution' that is now taking place. It is almost as clear as it could be, that the direction this film takes, is of the evil science{tist}, with their wacky ideas of 'playing god' and the outlandish consequence of 'prior memory'. This is juxtaposed to the innumerable scenes where the nice 'Christians' have there moral place, that only 'God' can create people, and the church being portrayed as the safe haven, as well as the many positive comments made about religion.
I don't want to too critical of the socio-political background theme to this movie, except that it is so blatantly pro-Christian - even conservative - in its dealings with the relationship between science and religion. To this extent, i cannot accept this movie as a true piece of art, only as a shocking and possibly deliberate attempt to play the religious card to gain support for the movie.
However, if the viewer can see through that, then it might be enjoyable. 3 out of 10, and that is being generous.
Lawrence of Arabia (1962)
One of the greatest movies ever made
Well, what can you say about one of the greatest movies of all time? In my opinion, number 27 on the all time greatest movie list only does it slight justice. I admit that the Godfather and Shcindler's List were great movies, but the arabesque sounds of a desolate wilderness, juxtaposed to an exotic military barracks, combined with lots of action, but not over the top like Kill Bill vol. 1. It is truly stunning. By far one of my favorite movies.
So, just to any prospective viewers for this grand cinematic, let me say this, that, although it is one of the longest movies you would experience, you will not move of your seat of you enjoy a good, classic epic.
Les jumeaux du bout du monde (1991)
I would call this series an epic
Judging from the amount of hits on this show, I can assume not too many have on interest in it.
I can't say that I have recently watched any of the episodes, but from what I can remember of it, the idea of two kids with magical powers, to free their fathers from a wicked empress, seems a little silly, but it is a bit like Farthingwood animals, quite enchanting.
If anyone is reading this, then obviously someone thinks it is of some value. so, to the people who are reading this, i would call the series an epic, and is memorable. I think I was only 5 or 6 years old when I last saw it, so maybe that proves something about it.
So, in conclusion, if it is back on T.V., please let me know!
