Los renglones torcidos de Dios (2022)
Book ending was way better
As with many other movies, the book and in this case its finale is way better than the ambiguity where this movie ends. Audience is left scrathing their heads without a real ending while the book provides an intelligent, well-written finale where she's what always was: a sick woman who tried to murder her husband and has been talking her way out of it with her lies. In the book, they find out she's lying (that's where the movie ends) AND they vote a second time, releasing her once again bc the reason for her illness was gone (aka husband took her money which is all he wanted from her) but yet she decides to stay when she realizes she is really sick and insane and could not trust her mind. Great ending, why did they remove that from the movie? How terrible is it that you can't just simply even make a female character the bad one these days? The story would have a much better message and conclusion (a sick person realizing that they are, just like shutter island) vs the cliche of audience believing what they want (bc they won't make a female lead the villain).
Overall just another "nah" film.
Game of Thrones: The Bells (2019)
This episode feels like a Picasso painting...
...great to look at, but no one understands a thing. That was the cheapest excuse to end a well-developed character creation than Darth Vader on Episode III. Eight years and now seems they're in a rush to end it all, even if it doesn't make sense.
