The Sweater (1980)
Great Movie,brings back memories
This movie made by the NFBC was made in honor of the Montreal Canadians dynasty years in the 50's,60's and 70's. My 5th grade teacher played this in class in honor of my 11th birthday in 1987 and also to celebrate my return from a serious facial injury in 1986. I have been a Canadians fan for 29 of my 30 years of life. on a scale of 1-10, I give this film a 117. All hockey fans should see this as I hope it will be placed in the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto and shown at the Bell Centre in Montreal or here in Edmonton at Rexall Place. Watch this film with your family it is a great movie. I also recommend the book in both French and English. Go Habs Go.
Sea People (1999)
Great Movie; Tegan Moss shines masterfully!!!
I stumbled on this movie in 2000 and Tegan Moss is great. This was her feature film debut at the tender young age of 14. I loved this movie so much I went all over my hometown of Edmonton,Alberta going south and west to find it. Before finally finding the movie at a 7-11 near the Clareview LRT Station in north Edmonton. Tegan shows big maturity for a person of 14, she was so beautiful, she was placed on my favorite actor/actresses list immediately. She is also a hockey fan like me but our teams differ (Tegan-Vancouver,me-Montreal Canadians). Get this movie it is excellent family entertainment. I rate this movie a 25 out of 10.
Below the Belt (1999)
Below the Belt
This movie first aired in 2000 for the Canada Day festivities. I was flipping through channels and saw the lead characters start talking to each other before Girl no.2 threw Girl no.1 against a wall and either ripped/pulled or whipped off Girl no.1's sweater revealing her black bra and then Girl no.2 kneels and rips open Girl no.1's jeans revealing her white form-fit briefs and then Girl no.2 throws herself onto a nearby bed and lets out an erotic moan as Girl no.1 walks towards her with more of her white form-fit briefs showing. The mother of Girl no.1 walks in on the "lovebirds" asking: "You skipped boxing for that???" The girls are mortified and quickly put their clothes back on afterward Girl no.1 admits to being madly in love with Girl no.2.
Bliss (2002)
Bliss
I watch this show on Fridays on Showcase Canada and my favorite episode is "Leaper" in which Julie, a writer hit writers block and calls up a friend and ends up hanging up on the person. She later goes out and runs into a homeless person and Julie gives her some money and the woman attacks Julie. Later, at a café Julie recovers from her writer's block and someone makes moves on her, Julie sees the homeless person again and the person runs away and kills herself. Julie's admirer, whose name is Diane or Dionne takes Julie to her apartment and then Diane starts to really show that she is interested in Julie and then Julie and Diane end up having sex. Julie wakes up the next day and spots something very familiar, a candy wristband and Diane approaches Julie and confesses to knowing the homeless person, Julie is standing there dumbfounded and wearing only her thong, quickly gets dressed and flees.
