The Purge: Election Year (2016)
Ceaseless Political Propaganda
This sole purpose of this movie is to promote illegal immigrants, promote Hillary Clinton, and demonise white people.
In short:: The angelic female senator is running for presidency against the terrible white male patriarchy. She wants to end the purge which the evil white patriarchy don't want, so on the purge night, they send people out to kill her. They send... Skinheads. They send assassins who, get this, have "white power" alongside the swastica, alongside the confederate flag on their armour, and on their shoulder lies the American flag. Clearly white conservatives and patriots are pure evil Nazis and so who is left to save the good senator? You guessed it, African Americans, illegals, and women!
This is just the tip of the iceberg of the propaganda in this film. There is also a healthy dose of anti Christian propaganda towards the end with the white male patriarchy performing ritual murders in a church, led by a priest. (literally every single person in a room filled with hundreds of horribly evil people, is white).
It's just pure political propaganda. Nobody should support this film. Even if you are sympathetic towards its ends you must recognise the dangers of injecting such propaganda into supposed entertainment for the masses to mindlessly consume.
Ex Machina (2014)
A superb film, spoiled by the ending.
This film is excellent, it holds your attention from the beginning to the end; the directing, acting, special effects, writing, are all top notch. The characters are all like-able and nuanced, however i simply cannot give this film more than 7-8/10 because of the completely un- necessary ending twist/s.
Its a case of someone just becoming a little too clever and ruining it at the final hurdle. There are two events at the end, both of which are un-necessary and mire the entire thing for me. Its still a very good film, but misses out on greatness. Sadly, its like a sweet which is delicious the entire way through only to bitter your mouth after swallowing. Because it is the last thing you remember, it overwhelms everything else.
Much better to start bitter and finish sweet.
Zero Dark Thirty (2012)
Torture Porn Propaganda
This movie is sold as a "true story" to the ignorant masses. it is anything but, it is simply pure fantasy designed to sexualise torture and make a case as to why torture should be legal. It is a movie entirely funded by the military industrial complex who, no doubt, have used hundreds of shills to give this movie a far higher rating than it deserves.
Osama was NOT found thanks to intelligence gained from torture, this is a complete fabrication designed to brainwash you into thinking how the military industrial complex would like you to think.
Its makers should be charged like the pro Nazi propagandists were after the second world war.
Astérix & Obélix: Au service de sa Majesté (2012)
Fun for all the family
I have not much to say but this film is horribly under-rated. It has no dark undercurrent, no social engineering (a rarity these days), it is just light, laugh out loud funny, with good acting, cast, sets and story.
I have not watched something this fun and innocent for a long time. This is far cleaner and leaves you feeling better than any Disney or animated film i can remember.
Also there is none of that horrible Hollywood overtone where everything is over done & there is no subtlety because the audience is assumed to be morons.
People claiming this film promotes homosexuality (an agenda in society i am very aware of and personally protest) have no idea what they're talking about. The English dignitary was just inferring that Asterix and Obelix are homosexual because they live together, as a jibe. Nothing more.
Go watch it, have fun, feel good.
I hope they make another.
