Solo Leveling (2024– )

This anime has no plot it's just mindless slaughter of enemy after enemy while the character levels up. It's literally a power fantasy of some gamer.

If you like to watch game streams, you may enjoy this anime. Do not think too much, there is no plot, just go into dungeon defeats enemy, go to next dungeon defeats another enemy and so on and on.

I do not understand the hype, any other shonen around is way, way better than this thing. The author even looks like he forgot this was not an isekai and the main character just transforms in some random more cute version of himself and just go away with it.

The fighting scenes are not even that good.

The Little Mermaid (I) (2023)

Souless remake

The original 1989 movie was one of my favorites as a child although I enjoyed more Aladdin and the lion king.

The movie tries too hard to be what it is not, it would have worked way better as a new original story even if it was based on the same tale.

Halle Bailey doesn't do it bad as Ariel, her acting is ok and she has a great voice.

Eric is ok too as well as Bardem as Triton.

Ursula is bad, fails to make the character her own and just copies the original but badly.

The story is basically the same but stretched. Some scenes from the original are gone and some others are added. I think there are three new songs, the Halle Bailey one was good and original, the others quite meh.

The think that disgusted me the most was how out of tune the old songs were, and it's a shame because Halle has a great voice, but time and time again she was out of tune with the music. Ursula was plain awful with her singing, looked like it was a voice over and she was clueless on what was going on in the scene.

Been generous, the movie could have been a 6, but I have to take into account what came before.

Avengers: Quantum Encounter (2022)

No clue if it is cannon

This is just a video shown during the cruise, like it is theme park. It's funny to see all those characters together although there is no much context of what is going on, like why Ms Marvel is suddenly there or what is going on.

I think it is leaked around so you may be able to take a look in Youtube. I hope it gets a proper release so more people can enjoy it and dissect what was shown as I am sure there would be some easter eggs. XD.

PD: It seems reviews need to be a Bible long now, so I guess I must rant now for 18 pages, both sides until this system finally allows me to post this intended small review. If only this site had some tool so you could see how far are you from reaching those damn 600 characters it would make thing way more easy. Damn this is a loong rand, please allow me to post this.. right now?

The premise is still the same, blind monsters that somehow defeated the human race.. although you can kill them with a shotgun or hitting them with a metal bar..

Characters now decide that it is ok to go around and take unnecessary risk every now and then.

Deaf girl decides to go on a suicide travel alone..

Mother decides to take a detour and visit her son's grave because well, who cares if there are monsters around..

Why not wait, why divide the group..

Kid decides to take a walk and investigate when everyone is out..

And the final twist? Monsters cannot swim either.. every island is a safe place, every boat, I guess in this reality the army does not exist and humanity is Idiocracy levels of intelligence.

A lot of bad reviews seems to be from USA where everyone goes around with rifles and automatic weapons. In Spain no one can use firearms, not even the police unless under serious threat. In fact in Span a policeman can only unload his weapon if he is shot first. Taking that into consideration, this is a good story and it seems wildly based on a real Spanish case.

I was expecting too much from the series and in the end they went for the trope. Lawful and Horable Mandalorian throw everything to the trash can because of kid he just met. Screw the code, screw everything. They could have go so many different ways here, but they went for the classic lazy story.

The movie is just awful. I was expecting some real investigation, like "the lost tomb os Jesus" or anythign, but it is just byass propaganda with no investigation. Every opinion is taken as a fact. As absurd as it can be, you can actually see one guy saying "this is written on the Bible so it is true" and the "investigator" takes that as a fact. For god sake if you take the Bible as fact then you are not making any kind of research xD

Arrival (II) (2016)

If you didn't care about the massive plot holes and inaccuracies of Interestellar, if you have no knowledge of any other language and basics of communication and you enjoyed Contact, you will probably love this movie.

But, if you are expecting and accurate portrayal of human/Alien communication and basic knowledge, run away from this movie. It's retarded and not even the ending big twist saves it.

Major, WTF, this movie is crap moments! SPOILERS!!

Portuguese is a language not related with ... WHAT? this is serious MI:2 crap here.

She tells the story behind the name "kangaroo" and then she goes and does exactly the same. It not only retarded to just write your name on a board and expect an alien to ·$&&ing read English and understand it. But then the alien makes a circle and she is all like, hey, that must be his name ...

Later on, they are talking about how amazing the alien language is, as they write in circles, so they can manage to put so much information is a little space... well, a few minutes later you can see the same circles and a cross reference of their meaning.. you guess it? just plain words.

Do not watch it!
