Megalodon: The Frenzy (2023)
One star, only because I had to give it something
I couldn't even watch even half of the movie! From a so-called commander, who could barely walk, to an important scientist (I guess that's what she is), who had more plastic done on her face than a Barbie Doll! As I said, I could not even watch to the half-way point. That's how bad it is. Then I went to reviews and saw that I hated it for a good reason... everyone else did as well. I'm glad I'm on my computer, so I don't have to sit and watch it on the big screen, and I could just click off. Maybe a four-year-old boy might enjoy it. As for adults, it's a big joke and waste of time and an insult to intelligence.
47 Meters Down (2017)
Monotonous
I got as far as 2/3 the way through and just couldn't stand one more minute! It's so boring and monotonous. Same old schtick, stuck down deep with sharks, difficult to rescue, nearly die. When I first began watching, it appeared to have some promise. But even from the beginning, it was too predictable. Then once the descent got underway, you could predict moment to monent what would happen next. 15 minutes of air they supposedly had left, turned into an eternity. And the endless chatter by these girls made it even more aggravating. Would have been better if the movie was only half an hour long.
From the Depths (2020)
Strangely familiar scenes?
To be fair, I have not yet watched the entire movie. However, I saw the trailer and, to my surprise, I saw a couple of scenes taken directly from Jaws 3D.
Congo (1995)
More psychological thrilling than anything
I had high hopes for this movie due to the cast of stars. However, I'm very disappointed, because the so-called terror is in the mind, not on the film. It's scarier watching people on a roller coaster!
Don't (2020)
Authenticity Questionable
When I watched the first episode, I was really excited. One guy had to eat, one at a time, some hot peppers without drinking anything for relief, working his way up to the ghost pepper. In the first episode, the guy's face was red, his eyes were watering and he was coughing. I was convinced! Then I saw the second episode, in which they used the same challenge. This time, the guy went through, without water or milk, and ate each of the extremely hot peppers ending up with something equivalent to the devil's pepper, which Adam could not even touch because it was too hot. Still, the guy's face remained unchanged. He didn't even break a sweat. So I'm asking if this game show is rigged. Watch it and see if you think any human can eat these peppers, one after the other, raw, and not even break a sweat!
Shark Attack 2 (2000)
Dumb
I couldn't even sit through the whole thing. First off, the killer shark growls like a lion on the prowl. Then there are two little boys playing at the end of a dock and they're talking. The voice of one is dubbed by an adult with a very silly cartoon voice! I couldn't watch it to the end because I was feeling nauseous!
The Good Place (2016)
One of a kind.
This show is amazing, like no other TV show before it. The actors are perfect and interact perfectly. It has its funny moments, but has none of the silliness that so many sitcoms these days do. Every show is unique. The first season ends with a big surprise that even the cast didn't know about, with the exception of the two main stars. The surprise on the actors' faces is priceless! Each scenario the cast encounters is unique. This series is family friendly also and people of all ages can watch it. There is no cursing in it at all, as all curse words in The Good Place have been substituted for benign words. It's wonderful to watch a series that even a 5-year-old can watch! Can't say enough about Kristen Bell and Ted Danson!
Yours, Mine & Ours (2005)
Not mine!
I love Dennis Quaid, but after only about 5 minutes, I was sick to my stomach. The acting is horrendous and is horrible! I hope it didn't ruin Dennis Quaid's career! I would not recommend this to anyone who appreciates good acting and/or who may have seen the original with Lucille Ball and Henry Fonda.
Our Souls at Night (2017)
Ending, really?
Good movie, romantic... until the dumbest ending any movie could ever have!!! Just wasted almost 2 hours of my life I"ll never get back!
