Sex Education: Episode 8 (2023)
Not a good ending to an incredible show
I, like many other people were really looking forward to S4.
I like how they gave the 'side' characters a solid end to their arcs.
The character development for Micheal and Ruby in this season was really good. Overall, I loved the development of so many of the characters in this show, it's been remarkable to watch!
I'm not happy where they ended things with Maeve, Otis and Ruby's stories. We were all rooting for Otis & Maeve or Ruby & Otis and neither happened. Just a massive ? On all of it - so many questions for the end which will never get answered. Do Maeve and Otis still talk? What happens with Ruby now she has made friends? So many Q's.
The Last of Us: Infected (2023)
Another incredible episode!
Opening scene for the episode was incredible again - it was frightening & feels so real. It was amazing.
The set designs, the Infected and everything about this episode was amazing from the minute it started.
I love how much they have changed from the games into the show, it makes more sense and it still surprises me despite having played the games. Tess' death was heartbreaking but so poetic, having one of the infected recognize her and kiss her to spread the infection quicker and symbolizing she's one of them.
Pedro & Bella's onscreen chemistry is incredible and they truly are Joel & Ellie!
The Walking Dead: Acheron: Part I (2021)
great start
Best season premiere we've had in YEARS!
A great first episode for the final season. Brought back the horror & plenty of zombies action this episode. I'm sure we are gonna have more in Part 2 and as we progress through 11A.
Loved each character interaction throughout the episode, Negan's interaction with Maggie was funny & intense!
Underwhelming cliffhanger with Maggie that didn't need to happen but it still added the shock factor in this episode especially during Negan and Maggie's interaction before the cliffhanger.
Shingeki no Kyojin: Hero (2019)
emotionally drained
Such an incredible episode!
To think they these episodes are only 23 mins long and they packed all of that into the episode, amazing!
Line of Duty: Episode #6.1 (2021)
Slow burning season premiere
Not as good as previous season premieres.
Hoping S6 picks up the pace, the story unfolds and the eps are better (I know we are only 1 ep in). It's been two years and my excitement for S6 has tried to be contained 😅
1st ep was decent but like I said, not as good as previous season premieres. Hard to tell whether DCI Davidson will be a "bent copper" but so far, I've no idea even though the first 10-15 mins mag suggest she is...
Overall, decent ep, Fleming has properly moved on from AC-12 after the events in S5 and just hope the 2nd ep is better than the first.
The Walking Dead: A Certain Doom (2020)
A good end to the Whisperers arc
A great end to the Whisperers arc. The final battle was short but sweet. Lovely character interactions between most of the characters; Negan, Daryl, Carol, Lydia.
Seeing Maggie return was so great! Beyond stoked that she is back along with her masked friend which I'm sure all will be revealed in 10c along with what she's been up to.
Commonwealth have FINALLY been introduced and their armor looks 🔥 can't wait to see more of them and their community. I'm sure Eugene may be disappointed about Stephanie, as it seems she may be with the Commonwealth :/
Overall, Kang has done a remarkable job with Season 10, I was waiting for the Whisperers for so long and when we got teased about them in S9 I was hyped, their story was 🔥 and it was so great, by far my fave villains the show has had. I trust her and believe that Season 11 (the final season) will be an epic final season for the fans.
P.S. Connie survives (ofc y'all knew that though) 😅
The Walking Dead: Walk with Us (2020)
BEST EP OF S10
This is by far the best episode we've had this season! It starts off quite slow; the action was immense, there were some heartbreaking scenes, the characters interactions were marvelous but ALL of this was slow build up to something we've all been waiting for.
They delivered the Negan kills Alpha scene perfectly and I loved the plot twist regarding Carol! Overall, it was a fantastic episode.
Rating: 9.5 out of 10
Sex Education: Episode 4 (2020)
Great episode but want Maeve and Otis together!
I found the episode refreshing.
Maeve finally opened up with how she felt for Otis but was too late. All I want is for Maeve & Otis to get together and be happy together!
The Walking Dead: Bonds (2019)
INTENSE, DRAMATIC & AMAZING!
This season is getting better and better!
Daryl and Carols' mission was high-stakes & risky but it was so intense to watch when they crossed the border and they had to hide.
Negan & Beta coming face to face was amazing too. There moments in the episode were incredible to watch. Carol capturing a Whisperer isn't going to go down well with Alpha and I'm looking forward what they outcome is for that!
The ending was amazing too; Negan battling the Walkers because Beta did what he did. Negan & Alpha finally came to face to face which excites me because I've read & seen some of the comics and it's only going to get better as the show goes on.
THE WHISPERER WAR IS AROUND THE CORNER!! Overall, I loved this episode, it's getting better and better every week, my rating for episode is: 9.0 out of 10.0
The Walking Dead: Ghosts (2019)
ANOTHER solid episode
This episode was yet another great episode.
We had more great character interactions; Negan & Aaron was great, I feel like they could become friends or could finally trust each other as Negan says he's a changed man and not like before. Carol & Alpha's confrontation was intense and I'm so excited for the next time they come face to face! We are starting to see how much Henry's death has affected Carol and how much it is still affecting her. Carol is seeing him, taking pills & not in a great place
There were so many great moments in this episode but still feel like the episode was slow but I guess that's what the episode was about.
Overall, another great episode into Season 10 and next weeks looks like a belter!
Rating: 8.2 out of 10!
The Walking Dead: Lines We Cross (2019)
Good start to the season!
This episode was a good start to Season 10
We had great character interactions between the main characters and groups. Judith's "Brave man" story to RJ was so sad and so touching that it makes me miss Rick so much! Negan talking to Lydia about what's happening and what she should do was nice to see as well. There were so many good interactions that were so nice to see.
The satellite that made the fire was such a great scene and everyone coming together to put it out which was putting the communities in danger due to them crossing Alpha's border was great to see too. Michonne, Daryl and Carol killing walkers was so badass especially Michonnes slow mo scenes.
Overall, it was a great episode and a great season 10 premiere! I think this season is going to be great & we are going to get one of the best seasons in years. Episode 2 looks promising as it's an Alpha and Beta backstory! Rating: 8.3 out of 10.
The Walking Dead: The Calm Before (2019)
SPEECHLESS!
What an episode!
Start of the episode was okay but once it cut to the wagon on the floor and Alpha over the woman's dead body and cut off her head for her hair... that's when I knew.
This has to be one of the best episodes this season, and in the entire show. The communities coming together for the Fair was so awesome and all making plans to fight off the Whisperers if anything happens to ANY of the communities was so nice to see.
When the Whisperers trapped Carol, Daryl, Michonne and Yumiko that was extremely frightening but when Alpha and Beta came out to confront them, and she started to talk that was even scarier (Alpha has to be one of the scariest and deadliest villains we've had on the show)
Alpha seeing Lydia and their interaction was so heartbreaking especially from Lydia and what she told Alpha.
Alpha showing Daryl her pit of walkers and saying "I'll get them into your territory if you are mine ever again" was so frightening to hear as she would do that considering she kills her people in order for them not to tell the rest of her people so they would think she is weak.
AND THEN THE PIKES: the score for the pikes is the best score I have ever heard, the pikes was amazing and will be one of the most iconic moments in TWD history! INCREDIBLE
All this was mumbo jumbo but I'm so shocked and amazed at this episode and the work for Season 9. It has been incredible. THE WHISPERER WAR is coming and it's going to get bloody in Season 10.
Overall, INCREDIBLE episode all the way through and the PIKES lived up to the hype! Make sure to watch!!
The Walking Dead: Bounty (2019)
Loving Season 9
This season has been such a fresh and great season so far. This episode made me love Daryl again and I fell in love with Connie, still not liking Henry taking Carl's storyline but we will see how that goes in the future. The ratings may be down but I for sure am loving Season 9 and it's the show I fell in love with. Thank you Angela Kang!
The Walking Dead: Omega (2019)
Great episode!
This episode has to be one of the best episodes for character development, interaction between characters and just a great back story for Alpha and Lydia. Sad to see that Daryl and Lydia have gone through physical abuse but something they can both connect from and potentially become friends.
Rest of this season is going to be great and I'm loving Alpha and the Whisperers a lot.
True Detective: Now Am Found (2019)
Tying up the loose ends.
True Detective Season 3 has been incredible from its actors to the writing.
The finale answered so many questions. Extremely sad about Wayne going to see Julie but forgot why he had gone to Greenland (don't why he didn't ask Roland coz surely he must have known he may have forgot).
Didn't like how Isobel died and most of the suspects as that meant justice couldn't be served for Will and for Julie. You could say the man with one eye not being killed or "taken in" was justice for Will but I don't think so.
Overall, it's been a great season, slow but that's what I like as it's still been intense, gripping and very mysterious. Mahershala Ali, Stephen Dorff, Carmen and the actor who played Wills father were incredible! Hopefully we get a Season 4 :)
Rating: 9.2 out of 10
Ray Donovan: The Dead (2019)
A MEMORABLE SEASON FINALE
What a season finale. Ray tying up the loose ends and getting everything back straight for himself, looking forward to Season 7 as this season brought Ray Donovan back to its best!
The Walking Dead: Who Are You Now? (2018)
The Whisperers are almost here.
Good episode; Carol being a badass and making sure some of the members of the Sanctuary aren't a threat no longer, didn't expect Rosita and Gabriel to be together, love the new group, Rosita and Eugene being hunted down by the Whisperers which is going to be amazing in the next episode. The dialogue, the development of the characters and the interaction between Judith and Negan was good too.
I'm very excited for the Mid-Season Finale and looking forward to what the Whisperers are going to do and how they are ALL going to be introduced to the other groups.
The Walking Dead: The Obliged (2018)
Lost for words
I'm lost for words, this episode was one of the best. Loved the interaction between Negan and Michonne, talking about her children, Negan talking aboht his wife and how they are "the same".
Maggie on her way to Alexandria to see and potentially kill Negan but will have to deal with Michonne first. The interaction between Rick and Daryl was heartbreaking and amazing, the last scene had me in bits but I won't spoil that. Just watch and watch next weeks episode, my emotions are going to be all over the place.
Overall, it was an amazing episode; great dialogue, great character development and an incredible cliffhanger.
The Walking Dead: Warning Signs (2018)
How is this episode 8.4 and slowly going down!?
This episode was amazing. Great character development once again, the Helicopter is slowly being unraveled and I'm excited to see what A or B MEANS.
I had to feel for Cyndie and some of the Oceanside group. Now that the saviors have left the camp, Maggie and Daryl not being on Ricks side and the Whisperers around the corner. It's going to be tough! Especially with it being Ricks last 2 episodes (I cry!). Looking forward to the next 5 eps and Ricks FINAL 2.
Westworld: Reunion (2018)
THE VALLEY BEYOND
Season 2 is starting to become exciting and intense, with Delores making her way to the Valley Beyond and to this weapon and with William also on his way there, I am excited to see how that unfolds and what happens.
I know for a fact that it's going to epic and utterly incredible, we may have to wait a few more weeks for that happen but this season is shaping up to amazing and the wait definitely worth it.
Many of us may not get it and may still be confused by the season so far but it's so cleverly written, cleverly acted out and so versatile that it makes you want more. I cannot wait for what this "weapon" is and what it's capable of.
The Walking Dead: Still Gotta Mean Something (2018)
I LOVED this episode
This was by far the best episode this season. It was very emotional and very action packed.
We saw a different side to Negan this episode and he told us a little about Lucille. Jadis was incredible too especially with her suitcase situation and the helicopter, that was a good scene for us to express.
With Negan back at the sanctuary and having a few surprises up his sleeve and I am excited to see what he has planned, I'd also love to know who he picked along the way back to the Sanctuary as well so fingers crossed we find out.
Overall, it was a great episode and I'm looking forward to next weeks. There are now two episodes to go and I'm excited to see what unfolds and what will happen in Season Finale, it's going to be amazing.
The Walking Dead: Do Not Send Us Astray (2018)
GREAT FROM THE OUTSET
SPOILER ALERT!:
This episode was great from the outset, with the Simon, Dwight and the Saviours coming to the Hilltop to "exterminate" Maggie and her people. Things didn't go to plan BUT Negans plan to use walker guts to infect and turn people certainly did and it was very dramatic and unexpected when it happened.
Some of the character development was good as well this episode with Maggie, Siddiq AND a little from Rick. I'm still liking how the second of the season is going and I'm hoping they can continue their good run of episodes, all of the battles, the action and everything is building up to the Season 8 Finale and I'm excited.
One more thing; to the people who say "it's not a zombie show anymore" LIKE REALLY!? There has been plenty of zombie scenes the last three episodes so if you don't like it and don't care how the episodes are, there's something wrong with you! It's doing good and am liking where it's going and how good it's doing.
The Walking Dead: The Key (2018)
THE BEST EPISODE THIS SEASON AND BEST IN A LONG TIME!
This episode had everything. It was action-packed, dramatic and intense.
The only downside to this episode is the directors shots; the close ups. They are getting annoying and starting to irritate me but aside from that it wa a great episode.
The BEST in a long time, I like where the show is going at the moment and these last three episodes have been very good, hope they can continue to do so with last 3. I'm excited to see what happens next week, so make sure to watch.
