Gunsmoke: The Bassops (1964)
We need some Waah-da
I love Gunsmoke and I watch it multiple times a week. But this episode grates on my nerves. It is WAY too long and the woman's whiny voice drives me up the wall. The way she calls water waah-da makes me want to scream.
Family Affair: Family in Paradise: Part 1 (1970)
Mr French annoys me in this episode
Mr French is such a "stick in the mud" about things. He can't even have fun on a tropical island. He annoys me. When he speaks up about it to Bill I think he is out of line. He is an employee and he has zero say in the situation.
The Jeffersons: Me and Billy Dee (1978)
"Dilly Bee"
SO funny when Louise gets flustered and instead of saying Billy Dee she said Dilly Bee. This episode is in my top five favorite Jeffersons episode. Don't pass up a chance to see this episode. I have seen it so many times and I never get tired of it. Fun!
Bewitched: Sam and the Beanstalk (1969)
I miss Dick York
I LOVED Dick York so much. The new Darren is not horrible of course. But the "old Darren" was my favorite. I do like the kid from Family Affair on this episode. As always, I feel sorry for Darren's mother, she is confused so much of the time on Bewitched.
The Twilight Zone: A Penny for Your Thoughts (1961)
The "dumb blonde" woman with no thoughts
This is a good Twilight Zone episode. My favorite part is when he is walking around "listening" to people's thoughts. Everyone he walks past is thinking something. Except the "dumb blonde"...she had no thoughts at all. He stops and turns back and leans in just to check. No thoughts in her brain. I love that part.
Petticoat Junction: With This Gown I Thee Wed (1967)
Steve and Betty Jo get married
The story was sweet. Lots of wedding gowns to pick from and she made a nice choice. However I personally would have picked the short one. This episode they talked about the father of the girls more than any I have seen.
Gunsmoke: Daddy Went Away (1963)
Boring episode
This was a boring episode in my opinion. It was so dull that it seemed to last longer than one hour. Another review on here states that the actress looked like Patty Duke. Absolutely NO WAY. She did not look like her at all. Perhaps because the actor who played the father on the "Patty Duke Show" was on this episode he had her on his mind. But trust me she looked nothing like her.
The Dick Van Dyke Show: All About Eavesdropping (1963)
Boy, what a great looking ashtray!
This episode is one of the very best of the series. The timing is perfect and the lines are very funny. I loved it when Sally was trying to change the subject by talking about the ashtray.
My Favorite Martian: My Nephew the Artist (1964)
Lots of "classic tv" people on this episode
I LOVE watching old tv shows and I recognize a lot of people on this episode. This episode features Richard Deacon who played Lumpy's dad on "Leave it to Beavers" as well as Mel on "The Dick Van Dyke Show". And Carol Worthington who was the very tall lady on "The Doris Day Show", I remember she was blonde on there and she had some fun dancing on that show so if you get a chance to watch "The Doris Day Show" look for her dancing. And Hazel Shermet played Cousin Meleancholia on one episode of "The Addams Family". The plot of this episode of "My Favorite Martian" was cute and fun.
The Dick Van Dyke Show: Buddy, Can You Spare a Job? (1961)
Possible error in episode
Sally says that Mel married Alan Brady's sister. I thought it was the other way.I thought Mel's sister married Alan. Anyone know for certain?
Alice: Mel, the Magi (1979)
Sweet little Christmas Tale
If you have read O. Henry's short story "The Gift of the Magi" you will already know what the plot is. I think Christmas episodes should be sweet, innocent, sentimental stories, This Alice episode has that in spades. Makes me happy.
The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch (2020)
Someone dug fence post holes
They continue to say the can't dig. But if you notice there are a large number of fence posts. Someone had to dig the holes for the fence posts at some point in time.
Diff'rent Strokes: Hooray for Hollywood: Part 1 (1984)
Beginning of the End
This episode marks the beginning of the end of the series as far as I am concerned. I could handle Phil Drummond getting a wife. Absolutely can not handle the step-brat he got. In this episode Mr. Drummond proposes to his girlfriend. Then and only then she reveals she has a son. But to be honest if this kid was my son I would be ashamed to admit it also. And if this were not enough to wreck this episode and the sequel episode, we have to watch a cheesy tour of Hollywood. Do yourself a favor and skip this episode and the "part two" sequel.
