A brilliant ONE SHOT masterpiece ... !!
7 January 2016
Warning: Spoilers
The first experience for me of that kind , a movie that is taken in one shot !! Now , that's a good idea with a perfect execution ... The idea itself makes you always on your toes waiting for a mistake or a moment of hesitation in acting or anything , but actually there are no mistakes at all ... Even if you feel that the first hour is boring , it will pass quickly knowing that it is taken in one shot ! And by the way , the first hour was necessary for the film , it gives the heroine a depth that may let you believe how empty and pointless her life that makes her drink (yes , she was drunk for the God sake ) till 4 a.m. and make such a stupid decision ...

The movie actually deserves a 10 , but there is something missing I don't know what it is ?! So , it's a solid 9 ...

Good concept , bad execution ...
25 December 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I had big expectations for this movie ! It has a big star starring in it , a big artistic director , a good concept and story , but it lacks the most important thing ; it lacks the SOUL .. !! It's a very slow paced movie , no thrill at all , I mean Leo is a good actor , but acting is not only about being on the screen ALONE most of the time , crawling , moaning and grunting without any interactions with the surroundings or other people... Other thing is that , there is nothing at all would make me love the character , why would I believe in a man who is seeking revenge for the death of his son , while I didn't feel that the father is loving the son actually , he didn't say once that he loved him , even the dialogues between them are very cold , come on , he didn't cry when he died ! I would say that the only thing that is good is the picture and the cinematography itself ...

Otherwise , Leo , sorry bro , no Oscar this time ...

Arsène Lupin,Robin Hood, and batman combined , with an Indian taste
12 May 2015
I think this is the result of Bollywood trying to produce a movie about a character combines Arsène Lupin , Robin Hood with Batman , but with more aspects and complexity that may reflect the Indian culture , or the Indian idea of a super hero . A mix of comedy , action , romance and drama that only Bollywood can make accompanied with great cinematography ! I mean come on , the rating doesn't reflect how good this movie is , the cinematography alone makes it deserve a 10 , but because of the tiny tinge of boredom in the beginning it deserves a solid 9 .

It's a hate or like movie , my wife didn't stand the first half of the movie and didn't complete it till the end , while I adored it .

I just want you to give it a try , it's not that bad and the rating actually is not fair .

Nostalgia ... !!
17 May 2013
Warning: Spoilers
What to say about a movie that has Al Pacino , Christopher Walkin and Alan Arkin in it ... I mean I will just watch this movie for these names ... However , after watching it , it has more than this ... A very simple story , but the acting was hilarious ,the chemistry between actors was perfect , they really enjoyed their roles while doing them , all of this is combined with a funny scenario and magnificent music ...

I was really sad when Arkin's character died , he would do more and enrich the story if he just was alive and make ending much more better instead of the real end , that's why my rating is only 7 , however , I really enjoyed watching this ...

Tarantino at his BEST ...
29 April 2013
To put my opinion in few words , "This is the best of Quantin Tarantino" till now for me ... I mean I'm not an old fan of him , the first work I've seen for this director was "Pulp Fiction" and that was just two years ago , and I was AMAZED ... I mean this guy can put just simple and naive ideas into a great story and marvelous scripts , that's what I saw then in "Kill Bill" and finally , the masterpiece "Django Unchained" ...

Talking about a simple story but new in the concept , dialogues that you don't know exactly if the actors are talking serious or just being funny , I mean come on who can do this except Tarantino , mixing the funny with the serious with the bloody with the weird characters who you can't predict any of their next moves ...

The acting was something unbelievable , I mean all the actors with no doubt deserves an Oscar ...

Every scene (I mean every single scene) with every single detail were excellently performed ... The music , the Decorations , The costumes and even the brutal bloody scenes were very real and believable ...

Now , I'm making a list of other Tarantino's movies that I haven't seen yet and I'm expecting a lot ...

Thank's Tarantino for being in the film industry ...

Stop historical debates , it's a movie data base ... !!
22 March 2013
Warning: Spoilers
I just watched the movie yesterday , as a movie it's fantastic , maybe a match to Hollywood movies of same genre . However , most of reviews here are discussing the movie from a historical view forgetting that any period of time in history is seen by different ways by everyone according to their belief , So, as a Muslim I see Mohammed Al Faith as a great man , leader and a Sultan , others (I mean people of other European countries who were in wars with the Ottomon empire) will see him as a Barbaric killer , so , let's put history aside and talk about the movie from a cinematic view ... Story is good for me , I believe that the content historically is correct ,so, I like it and I'm proud of Mohammed AL Faith as a Muslim conqueror and somehow the true founder of the Islamic Caliphate of Ottomon empire . Music is good ... Acting is very good and I didn't know before (as Egyptian) that the Turkish actors are that talented . Visuals and direction are absolutely STUNNING , if i didn't know before watching that it's a Turkish movie , I would say that it's a Hollywood production ...

Finally , please put politics and history aside and enjoy the movie as a movie , and if you can't stand the historical mistakes(from your point of view) simply , don't watch it .!!
