Unbroken (2014)
LIfe's Turns
I found this to be a very, Very good movie. It shows that we can overcome difficulties thrown at us if we have faith enough to overcome.
This is a must view for young men as they enter the competition of life today. When life sends us difficulties we need to overcome and raise them if we are to succeed in any endeavor.
I could relate easily to the film with the early difficulties, and later during the POW experiences. As difficult as they were they are not all that different from what I experience in my day to day business life.
This is not a war story, it is a life story, and should be viewed by everyone.
The direction is first rate.
The Noah (1975)
Worth Watching
This is not at all what I expected. The film depicts what happens to one man who finds himself as the last survivor of the planet after a nuclear exchange. Emerging from a bunker, where the radiation has killed off everyone else, he comes out of a military bunker, begins his search for other life. This film is especially important today with the Nuclear threat being greater than it has been in 30 years. The hero is washed ashore on some Far Eastern Island, has food and shelter and nothing else, no animals, nothing. Is alone and isolated. I wondered as I watch it, How would I have coped. By the time the film was half over, I had an overwhelming respect and appreciation for my wife, and dog. I don't think I will ever be the same after watching it.
Michael (1996)
Michael
Although the movie is now several years old now, A timeless classic, I love it! John Travolta does an outstanding job. His portrayal of an angel allowed to come to earth and interact with people is just marvelous. Most of the time he seems almost as a child discovering the world around him for the first and perhaps the last time. He appears to be trying to experience everything in as short a period of time as possible. His over use of sugar on everything is just as a child would do if they could get away with it. His dance scene in the middle of the film seems to transform the picture. Although very simple it is so well executed, I never tire of watching it again and again. Worth buying and adding to the library.
Atlas Shrugged II: The Strike (2012)
Atlas My kind of Girl
I love this series. The first movie blew me away. This film is so relevant to todays world. This film does Not rely on special effects, sex or violence because it has no story. Here there is a great story, The film director develops it in a masterful way. I had to own them. I cannot wait for the third. The cast is a bit older this time, more seasoned. I felt that this actually added a lot more to the story. I love Dagney standing on her principal as Hank tries to protect her at his own expense. A wonderful love story. Like any good story, the plot builds then Hammers home its point, only to have our hopes dashed, then the hero's go on again struggling to win. This is the true American way. Probably why I like it so much. To struggle against all odds, standing alone, is worth the fight when the cause is right.
