Siskel & Ebert have no clue

This is one of the best sequels ever made in the horror genre. So of course the two biggest movie critics slammed it. Brilliant inventive kills, awesome one-liners and stellar acting by the main star Patricia Arquette ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A near perfect horror movie and a classic I always turn to at Halloween.

Underrated Erotic thriller

9/10 for the story, and Sydney Sweeney's acting and incredible sex scene. Her husband's voice was very cringe as everyone else has mentioned he should not be acting.

Huge groan 9
20 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Worst movie I've seen this year, and by far the worst of the ridiculous fast and furious series. It should've been called Stunts that could never be pulled off in real life 9. From jumping off a cliff and harpooning the other side to swing the car up to the road, to flying off another cliff and being picked up by a passing jet this groan of a movie still had just enough to hold my attention until..they ventured into outer space. That was it for me, I shut the garbage off. 1 star feels generous. Enjoy if you have no brain.

Nothing special
12 September 2021
We know the kind of person this blind guy was from the first film, not exactly your everyday hero, he was involved in some sick activities to be honest. Here in the sequel taking place many years later, he has an 8 year old daughter, and they try to present him as a hero when his home is attacked by a group of body part stealing, murdering thugs. I thought the first movie was good, I thought this one was average at best. Hopefully there's no 3rd..but does Hollywood ever stop once something is semi-popular?

Totally not what I expected
21 August 2021
Those giving it a low rating here obviously don't watch movies to be entertained. The story was messed up for sure, but it kept me watching to see what happens next. I loved this movie and I'll definitely watch it again. Crazy as it was it definitely entertained me. So shut your brain off, grab some popcorn and enjoy.

What was that?

Total garbage movie that I got an hour into after trying for numerous times and failing because nothing happened in it. I fast forwarded to the credits so it would just finally end and could leave my Netflix continue watching list forever. It was that bad. Yikes.

I don't get the low ratings
30 July 2021
Low ratings due to dark filming? I didn't even notice an issue with it. Just goes to show most reviewers on this are sheep and only give exactly the same review that's most popular. See this one for yourself, don't trust the idiots rating it so low cause they don't get creature movies...It's supposed to be dark and mysterious!

Started off great..
11 July 2021
A lot happens in the first 15 minutes, plenty of action and story telling, but it really tapers off on both as the movie slowly moves forward from there. The real star of the movie was Yelena, it was worth the watch just for Florence Pugh. Hang on after the credits roll, as always there's a small cameo, it has me looking forward to another branch off.

What's with the good reviews???
21 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This movie was garbage. I gave it 1 star cause it won't allow 0. The premise was old and overdone, the acting was cheesy at best (especially by the father who reminded me of Russell Crowe too much) and the movie had no explanation of why the monster was under their bed or where it came from. The worst was the ending though, killing the monster with their dead mom's ashes GROAN!

Underrated Horror
31 January 2021
Great scares, great special effects and originality highlight this ghost story about a woman who kills her very abusive husband and is haunted by his ghost while she's stuck on house arrest in their home where she killed him. The movie was paced nicely, with plenty of tense scenes to keep me interested. Famke Janssen was great, as was Bobby Carnivale, the two characters played well off one another. I watched it without ever seeing anything about it, and was pleasantly surprised. One of those hidden gem horror movies that didn't get enough exposure.

Little Gem
20 December 2020
Perfectly titled, Standoff was a great film, superbly directed and fast paced. The story revolves around a sadistic hitman, a witness to murder and a broken hero with a chance at redemption. With great acting by all 3 actors, it easily takes you right into the movie. There are a few subtle flaws but nothing distracting from my pure enjoyment of this little gem of a film. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A great murder mystery
7 November 2020
I picked this movie up on vhs for 10 cents at the local goodwill. I wasn't expecting too much, but I knew Rutger Hauer was in it, and his movies are usually pretty good. I didn't expect for him to be playing a man so vulnerable though, he wasn't his usual tough and villainous character. What I also didn't expect was how well Natasha Richardson played her part, which was the trusting yet also vulnerable social worker Laura Matthews, tasked with finding a job for the parolled Ben Jordan (Hauer) Laura has suspicions of Jordan's guilt or innocence in the crime of killing his wife 15 years earlier, and she investigates, against her client's wishes. The movie moves along quite well and you're wondering whether he was guilty or not, and is Laura getting too close to him, endangering her own life and those around her.

It's Pauly Shore. That's all you need to know if you've seen his movies, some cringe spots but definitely some funny as hell moments. It did its job which was to entertain me. If you need a good laugh and the kids are in bed, give it a chance

Post Apocalyptic reflections
30 August 2020
A young woman makes her way through a post Apocalyptic world scavenging for food and other necessities to help her group survive. She has an accident and her vehicle is flipped on its roof. She awakens with a broken leg and a nightmarish creature stalking and trying to kill her in the dark dessert. Through many flashbacks (I have never seen so many flashbacks in a movie before!) we see how her life was before the world was taken over by a pandemic, and her history is woven into the present story very well. Here's a bit of a spoiler, if you've seen it, and almost everyone I know has, you'll be reminded of the movie FACE/OFF with Cage & Travolta..you'll know what I mean when you see it. It's used in the "twist" at the end, and I saw the twist coming, simply because in Face/off, I've seen it before. Other than that, it's a good movie, solid acting, great pace and interesting characters

Why it gets a 1
10 June 2020
Geena Davis' character is not getting what she needs from her fiance in the bedroom, so she gets a big makeover and comes home early to surprise her man. He comes home with another woman and is absolutely shocked when he finds her home. Her car is sitting in the driveway when she kicks him out of the house and throws his keys at him telling him off. HER CAR IS IN THE DRIVEWAY!!! HOW IS HE SURPRISED SHE'S HOME?? FIRSTLY THOUGH IF SHE IS TRYING TO SURPRISE HIM, WHY DOES SHE LEAVE THE CAR IN THE FREAKING DRIVEWAY???? I hope it gets better but that's my take on the first twenty minutes. Just a ridiculous huge mistake.

Most Dangerous Game (2020–2023)
10/10
How did this not play in theaters?
26 May 2020
Ok here we have another hunt the human story where rich folk pay to hunt human prey. This one is wildly different though because it takes place in public, on the busy streets of Detroit. Our hero is down on his luck with a failed business project, multiplying bills, a new wife and baby on the way and to top it all off he's dying soon, given only weeks to live with an inoperable tumor in his brain. Hes given a chance to leave his family with financial stability by participating in this most dangerous game, he just needs to survive 24 hours being hunted, sunrise to sunrise. The movie/show moves at a very fast pace, keeping your interest and you can't help but play every episode in one sitting. 10 stars because I believe it should've played in theatres. Liam Hemsworth and Christoph Waltz are perfect in their roles, by far, this is the best thing I've watched on Quibi

Aside from the revenge plot being formulated..
30 September 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This movie was a sub par B movie. It's a D movie. The main actresses were ok in it, the rest was total crap. Clocking in at an underwhelming 78 minutes, they could have for sure shown you more of the torturing these hillbillies put on these poor girls so you could feel for them as they acted out their revenge, but instead the director had everything happen to them off camera and left to our imaginations. The music in the movie was also a huge turn off because it didn't match the subject matter of the film in the slightest. Whoever Ashley Park is, I hope to never hear their music in another horror movie

A perfect marvel movie for the family
13 March 2019
First off it starts with a perfect tribute to the man Stan Lee in the marvel opening credits. I loved the characters, the story and the music throughout, my favorite parts were pretty much every time Goose the cat was onscreen, very entertaining movie, despite what troll haters are posting in these reviews go see it for yourself. It's a great lead in to Avengers endgame, which I can't wait for now
