Three Days in Kamakura (2012)
I think about parent and child.
Three days in kamakura is one good husband's story. He who is fat works and teaches children English at like a nursery school. He has a wife who can speak English fluently however they don't have any child. I seem that they have a problem about that matter. One day, one of his schoolboy can't come back his home because his mother doesn't pick him up. So the fat teacher decides to take care of his student until the student's mother picking him up. However, he can't get in touch with his mother. In the meantime he wants to take charge of his student.
I like the fat man who is main character because he is very gentle furthermore he loves children as much as his wife. I am attracted by these points. If I marry, I want to be a good husband and further like him.
In contrast, I don't want to be a parent like his student's mother. I think she is irresponsible and hasn't realized as a parent. The student is very pitiful boy.
In conclude, I see an ideal parent in this story. This story teaches me many important things. For example, family love, a blood relation, responsible, trust.
Gasman (1997)
complicated story
This story is complexly. Lynne who is main character in this story meets one girl. However, she sees the girl who sitting on a knee of Lynne's father. She wonders the girl becoming friend with Lynne's father. Finally, she comprehends their relation.
I'm impressed by the scene that is the girl sitting on a knee of Lynne's father. This scene is the most important point in this story. Various feelings of characters are jumbled together. I think Lynne is jealous because the girl appears suddenly and keeps a thing to herself. Lynne probably can't understand. So she uses violence on the girl. Furthermore, their father doesn't want to scold Lynne because he probably wants to love both of them.
In conclusion, he wants them to be friend with each other. At the same time, he knows it is difficult practically. On the other hand, Lynne parts from the girl before she is convinced. So Lynne and her father are gloomy.
Otousan no tabako (2007)
thoughtful
This story makes a strong impression because one elementary school girl buys a cigarette.
I am shocked at the scene that the elementary school girl buy a cigarette with a practiced hand as if she buys a juice from a vending machine. The scene makes me uncomfortable because minors aren't allowed to smoke by law. I think her action causes her to be misunderstood. In addition, her father must not make her buy a cigarette even if he is suffering from a serious illness.
However, I think she is a lovely girl because she tries to buy a cigarette many times for her father in spite of knowing it is a bad action. So she loves her father very much. I am moved to see her effort. Furthermore, I sympathize with her mother She scolds her daughter for buying a cigarette because she worries about her daughter's future. I think her mother has a hard time with her husband and daughter.
I think the main theme is family love. A family caring about each other is very important and wonderful.
Father and Daughter (2000)
I am sad.
There is a father and daughter. The father is a man in his middle life and the daughter is young. One day the father leaves the daughter to travel by boat. The boat leaves from the bank. The boat gets smaller and smaller. The daughter watches the boat until it is invisible. From that day, the daughter goes to meet her father again and again. However, her father doesn't come back to her. She grows up and becomes an adult before long. She marries and has children. She waits for her father still. Finally, she becomes an old woman. Perhaps her father has already died; nevertheless she waits for her father.
The music matches this movie. I think the music expresses the daughter'feeling. My favorite is the piano in the music. The sadness to wait for her father is expressed by a tempo and an accent. I can feel sadness, worry, loving her father, loneliness and admiration. In addition, this movie makes me imagine various things. For example, why does her father travel, what does her mother do when he travels? I want to know these things.
I think we can interpret this movie. For example the daughter is always sad or loving her father storyline for a long time. It is interesting to be able to make a variety of interpretations.
The Lunch Date (1989)
funny
One old woman is in the station. She is going to take the train. However, she collides with a man. Furthermore, her luggage is scattered. The time for the train approaches. So she gathers her belongings in a hurry. She hurries to a platform of a rail way station so as not to miss the train nevertheless she can't catch the train. While she waits for next train, she intends to eat lunch. She orders vegetable salad and chooses a seat. She forgets to get a fork. When she returns to her seat with a fork, a strange man sits down on the seat and eats her salad. She is very surprised and displeases. She makes a terrible mistake at this time.
This story teaches me two important things. First, we should act with time to spare. In this story, she collides with a man and misses the train. If she has enough time, she can take the train. Second, keeping calm is essential in all things. I think she feels impatient with missing the train when she goes to get a fork. So she makes a terrible mistake. If she kept calm, she didn't fail.
Conclusion, we fail and get depressed sometimes. However, if we fail, we can be taught from the mistake and develop ourselves.
Embers (2006)
This story is painful.
Embers is a very gloomy story. One woman who waits for her husband lives in a house that is in the forest. Her husband doesn't come back since he has been inducted into army for the war. One day, she sees a Japanese soldier who is going to murder her husband in her house. However, the soldier is hallucination created by her. She suffers from it for a while. Such one day her husband comes back to her.
I like this shooting location because there is lots of nature, for example, forest and clear air. I am soothed by the scene in the nature. I think she is suffering from mental illness furthermore, her husband exhausted by war. However, they can care the symptom because the nature has the power to take care of it. They will get better soon.
In conclusion, this title means their symptom. The war breaks buildings and world order as well as human's mind.
Knick Knack (1989)
Funny story
A cheerful snow man is the main character. He fall in love with a sexy girl at first sight. However he is incarcerated in a plastic dome. So he tries to escape using various ways from the place. For example, using bombs, drill, and his nose as a spike. However, he can't escape even if he uses many ways.
The snow man has strong will because he tries to escape in a multitude of ways. However, despite his efforts, he fails to escape after all. I admire his attitude to make a trail of various ways. So I feel very disappointed that he goes unrewarded in spite of much effort. On other hand, I think he see only before his eyes otherwise he might be able to escape from the dome.
In conclusion, making an effort to achieve something is very important however, not only should we do our best but also we need to think about what we need to achieve.
Fish Out of Water (2005)
interesting
A young man goes to his the office job by boat every day. This gives rise to a strange happening in this story. The main characters are a young man who is rowing the boat, a business woman who is very elegant and fascinating and a fat man who is considered to be her coworker.
My favorite point in this movie is a young man going to his office job by boat. This way is very tasteful because he can see the sea the and watch birds and fish. I think the breeze is so comfortable.
I dislike two points. First the fat man throws away his garbage in the sea. That action leads to polluting the sea. Second the young man rowing the boat is meek because he can't decline the offer of the business woman asking, but it means he is kind.
All things considered, I like this short movie because I am interested in his idea which is rowing a boat to his office job. This way isn't thought of by many people and if people think of this idea, people won't challenge it. So I think his idea is novel and wonderful.
The Crush (2010)
Passionate
A school boy loves his teacher. Her name is Purdy. But she has a boyfriend and promises to marry to him. One day, the boy runs into her with him. The boy is very shocked and he decides to fight a duel with her boyfriend.
My favorite point is that the boy has an earnest heart towards her. He doesn't give up even if she has boyfriend and the boyfriend is much older than him. If I were him, I would give up her and be afraid. I have never had a passionate heart like his. I admire his brave and earnest heart.
The way of the duel is one-sided and cowardice. I want him to fight the duel in a different way. In addition to this, his teacher should scold him because his way isn't humane.
All things considered, the boy is very adorable. I think his teacher is very happy because no other people take a fancy to her.
Lifted (2006)
Pleasant
Two aliens come to earth by space ship. They are the superior and his subordinate. Their color of their body is green, and they have human form. They are a really strange duo. The subordinate tries to kidnap a young man through the window however a subordinate is in trouble because he doesn't know how to use the levers. Even so, what a good deal of levers there are!
I like the superior because he let his subordinate operate the spaceship. I think he cheered up his subordinate casually because the subordinate failed. He is a really superb and ideal superior for every subordinate. The superior is usual unsociable however I respect his action and character.
On other hand, I don't think the subordinate is admirable because he doesn't try to make an effort. In addition to this, he has a short temper and does his work in a slipshod manner temporarily. He resembles me very much.
I think this movie is moral because it teaches us important things. For example, make an effort, and respect own superior.
Paperman (2012)
impressed
Paperman is an amazing movie. When one office worker man waits for the train, the wind blows and the man's documents hit a woman's face. Furthermore there is her lipstick on his documents. The man can't forget the woman at work. Then he discovers her in a building across the street by chance.
I have two favorite scenes. First, paper planes begin dancing and bring together the man and the woman. The scene and music are in harmony. The music makes me pleasant and tells me the importance of taking a fancy. Second, the man is completely absorbed in making the flying paper planes because doing something hard for a person is marvelous.
This movie is one of my favorite movies. The filmmakers fills out own ideas in the short time of seven minutes. I have never watched such a short movie.
