Rebel Moon - Part One: A Child of Fire (2023)

Rebel Moon was Visually stunning with plenty of potential & World + character building to come.

Very few if any Sci Fi movies are going to compare to Star Wars and what it achieved as a franchise but that doesn't mean everything else is bad or not worth your attention. Watch this with an open mind and you might just enjoy it - find it entertaining. There's no way this movie deserves the low scores received on here , seems many decided that they would dislike it before even hitting play and thats a shame. I look forward to the next movie and finding out where the story goes next. One movie at a time without any preconceived ideas.

A decisive episode online , the argument for & against rages. Its unfortunate that people are unable to discuss certain topics without being offensive and without attacking each other.

I personally had no issue with Bill & Franks relationship being the major part of the episode but think it would have been better if they had also included some interaction with Ellie & Joel - as I believe occurs in the game.

Without the interaction to me the episode felt a bit slow & boring - lacking something.

Overall not a big deal for me, looking forward to the next episode & beyond. This series has great potential and I look forward to seeing where they take it.

A Quiet Place Part II (2020)

Basically the same movie as part 1 with a few characters added. Worth a look if you're killing time but overall disappointing. Unless the story actually goes somewhere they should stop there and not make a part 3.

Eternals (2021)

The storyline was poor, the acting not much better. CGI was done on the cheap.

This was a fill in movie, just to add content to the streaming platforms library without investing to much (at least I hope that didn't cost much to make). This one isn't worth your time.

Glad it's over

The series started well, the premise interesting. By season 3 the storyline was ridiculous, melodramatic, the writers possibly making it up as they went. The main characters appear stupid, unlikeable and I could no longer bear their outbursts. The fast forward button got a workout. I believe this series was canceled, hopefully they don't change their minds.

The Misfits (2021)

Ridiculous

A lame version of Oceans's 11 ? Poorly written and executed. The characters were ridiculous, storyline unbelievable. The whole Pierce Brosnan always getting the girl thing is old & overdone, makes me cringe. I gave up three quarters of the way through this one, couldn't bring myself to watch it all.

$15 million to make this movie ...... Really ?

Power Book III: Raising Kanan (2021– )

In my opinion this series is the best in the Power Universe so far. Kanan is the most interesting of all the characters, hope there is a season 2 & more.

Im surprised about the negative reviews on here, I feel that many have missed the point. This series is not a Sci-Fi action series. Yes it has a space back drop but its more a drama about being far from loved ones, the pressure of being the first to Mars and other peoples expectations. I think it does a lot of things right even if its technical side may not be 100% accurate. The series has great character development, some really good acting, and is well worth watching, I personally hope there is another season to come.

I'm surprised at some of the negative reviews. The series has likeable characters and a decent storyline. People taking themselves too seriously I think. Definitely worth the watch, especially for fans of Al Pacino. Can't wait for a season 2.

The Boys (2019– )

Brilliant, the best super hero series.

I'm my opinion this is the best super hero series made to date. The normal formula has been thrown out the window, this is different. The characters are engaging, interesting. Karl Urban is fantastic every second he's on screen. This series is for adults and well worth watching. I cannot wait for season two, absolutely brilliant.

The Highwaymen (2019)

The Bonnie & Clyde story but from different a perspective. Violence not glorified which is rare. This is a very well made movie with two great actors. Got to love Woody, he nails it.

I haven't read the series so I'm not comparing the movie to anything. I thought the premise of the movie was strong, the characters, especially the gunslinger were great. I look forward to seeing where the series goes. A shame if the don't build on this movie.
