Nocturnal Animals (2016)
8/10, if we ignore the first scene!
I just hate that a movie so good would start with the cheap display of bare breasts. The movie is so grasping that one cant keep one's laptop down even for a second, just like we can't keep a good book down. The plot was so well thought-out and was almost flawless. Furthermore, the revenge of the ex-husband was so subtle and so.. elaborately vengeful that I just am truly amused by the thinking and creativity of the writer. Lastly, I love that the story-line was so different than all the other movies I have seen.
London Road (2015)
Tom Hardy?! Oh that guest appearance!
Overall, I liked the movie but why the hell would they put Tom Hardy's face on their main movie poster when he really isn't a main cast member. They did not let the camera show him throughput the movie, except for one very short scene and then a slight glimpse afterwards, which actually seems like a residue of a scene cut-out of the movie. To be honest, I decided to watch this movie, thinking it has such a great actor in it, so it has to be good. But sheer disappointment struck me when I realized that I had become a victim of cunning (yes, I will use such a harsh word) advertising.
Besides the Tom Hardy thing, however, the movie was quite a different one, kind of a very casual musical and I kind of liked it.

Emotions-Stirring Treat !
This show is such a classy show. It has all the elements that stir your emotions and so it does not, even for a second, become boring. The acting, of course, is flawless and the story line is so unique. I love that this show disseminates information in the most grasping and interesting manner and that it also gives its watchers a taste of the supernatural happenings. Although only eight episodes have been out yet, but I must say, these are some very strong eight episodes. They, along with everything else, also show relationships filled with love and show that a human being cannot help but love, for instance Bill and Epping, Harry and Epping, Sadie and Epping etc.
Despite of all this, I'm shocked to see that not a single person I have met has ever even heard of this show. I recommend this show to all people who enjoy interesting shows. ;)
Premium Rush (2012)
Simply Perfect
It is like that book that which you pick up, you cant put down, not even for a second, until you finish it. Except in this case, you cant even look right or left or you miss an important happening. This movie doesn't have a single boring scene! The reason most people have given it a low rating must be because of the simple story, but sometimes a simple story is told with such suspense and artistry, that it makes a movie "perfect". The acting, of course, is flawless too. Another reason why I think people must have given it a low rating must be because it may seem a bit unrealistically childish at some points, but then there was no line put at the start of the movie claiming that the story narrated is a true-life story. I think, it is a different movie and is so grasping, while being so simple.
The Returned (2013)
Good Movie, Had Potential To Be Great !!
I honestly loved the first half, rather two-third of the movie. Its different and complex and doesn't have many unrelated scenes. I mean, I loved how it stayed on the topic rather than straying to cheap story lines like many movies do. Now, the sad part, the sad part is that the movie had such great potential to be great but this one mistake just took 4 stars out of its rating. My point is that throughout the movie the viewer is made to realize that the antidote is the only precious thing in the world and suddenly the lead-lady **spoiler** starts taking it as lightly as it was a normal pack of crisps available everywhere. "Once Bitten Twice Shy" is an idiom based on real life rational humans, thus after the couple faces the brunt of their carelessness and excessive trust once, they both should have been extra extra careful. As opposed to Yelling on the phone about the dozes obtained and their number too. Also after that too, such a delicately packed glass tubes which are extremely hard to get and people are actually killing for it, is kept under the seat or in the trunk or hidden in some bag or something not put on the front seat for display. Also, if one expects the government to make an announcement about the antidote synthesis, one would at least wait until then to shoot a loved one, if one actually is able to. Generally though, I liked the movie, just the ending or say penultimate scenes were unsatisfactory.
Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)
Overload of superheroes among other small problems!
Honestly, I loved the movie, it was extremely likable. But when I think about it, keeping my Avengers-biasness aside, the picture the movie ended up portraying was that every second person in a city has either some kind of a power or just by-chance has the skills to become a super-hero! Spoiler: Thus, when a certain character dies on the film, even though he/she was great, you end up feeling kind of glad instead of being depressed. You're glad that at least the percentage of a super-hero being a "unique" thing has increased a little again. But then there is a glimpse where a great number of super-heroes flood into the Avengers building, and one feels that all the big/famous super-heroes will retire after the new ones take charge. Yet another thing I didn't like about the movie was its inclination towards "Love", it is a science-flick and shouldn't revolve around love between two lovers! Lastly, Avengers is a series of movies that kids love to see as well, thus the women in the movie should have covered their breasts better, pregnant woman and a lot of kisses shouldn't be in a kid- movie either! In a bird's view, the Cinematography, the Action, the humour, tech, tension, etc., etc. make the movie an ultimate success and a Must- Watch, but it had its flaws and did ignore its main story in some places!
The Stepfather (2009)
Don't understand the low ratings!
I don't understand, as to why this movie has such low ratings! I read here that its a remake, well I haven't seen the original movie and now I'm starting to feel that maybe that is why I liked it a lot! The storyline is great, so is the acting, though Penn's character and his girlfriend's were both kind of used as show-pieces, as in, they were put in the movie to add some naked-spice. I mean, it was like the two of them could never be together and wear clothes at the same time! Other than that point-less skin-exposure, the movie was great and had quite a few grasping moments! In a nutshell, the movie is totally worth watching!
Into the Woods (2014)
Rated it 10
I don't know why people don't like it. This is a very cute movie and a very interesting concoction of all the fairy tales we have grown up loving. Where all other movies that we see have a lot of plotting and explicit content, this one is simple and yet has its twists! Okay, now as far as Depp is concerned, I honestly thought he would have a greater role, but his scenes composed a total of 5 minutes approximately, I think, and puff, he was gone! But other than that little disappointment, I loved this pleasant movie and of course it was great to see The Devil Wears Prada's ladies together again. In short, it IS a must-watch movie, especially for the fairy tales lovers, like myself!
Supernatural: Family Remains (2009)
This episode is perfect and so movie-like.
This particular episode of Supernatural, Family Returns, is just so complete and finely polished that it is almost like watching a movie (if you know what I mean). Plus the "twists" in the story are so unexpected, you just do Not see them coming and a little element-of- surprise just always keeps things interesting. The in-the-wall creatures look so realistically abandoned and psycho- killer type. Furthermore, the family and their story develops so nicely. And of course Sam and Dean scenes in this episode tell us so much about Dean's situation and are Awesome! In short, this is one of my most favorite episodes of Supernatural, shows how simple human-beings can turn into blood-thirsty killers.
Freedom Writers (2007)
Good movie depicting what a dedicated teacher can achieve
Freedom Writers has been lying in my computer for quite some time and I didn't watch it for I thought it wouldn't be interesting! But when I started watching the movie I had my eyes glued to the screen! It is such an interesting movie and gives very good and constructive message to all its viewers.
*** Spoiler Alert *** In the movie they show that Ms. G.'s husband decides to leave her after she gets too involved with her children depicts not only Scott but how most men are not supportive towards their wives' successes and achievements. To see how dedicated a teacher G is, is also very nice and the idea of teaching students how they want to be taught, without even the support of the authorities really raises the status and importance of teachers, depicting also how dedicated some teachers are! Very emotional, very good movie!
Supernatural: The Curious Case of Dean Winchester (2009)
Strong episode with amazing game scenes
This is one very strong Supernatural episode. The villain, Patrick (Hal Ozsan), acted so well and added a lot of flavor to the episode.
It was planned out very well, everything in the perfect order. The story-line was very different from other Supernatural episodes; the age- change thing is not seen in other episodes, never in the present time anyway.
Dean Winchester(Jensen Ackles) as we all know is a guy who has 'a give it a hell' attitude, towards every issue which is not Sam Winchester(Jared Padalecki) related. But in this episode the way he realizes that Bobby (Jim Beaver) must have a hard time dealing with the old age, is very emotional and nice.
Generally, the twist and turns, everybody caring for everybody intensely- scenes, acting, story, jokes, The Game and everything else makes it amazing and unique! And definitely a must-watch!
