Nandor Fodor and the Talking Mongoose (2023)
Humourless
The true story of the talking mongoose of the Isle of Mann is full of interesting events.
This film barely mentions any of the true story.
The film is about Nandor Fodor, who is portrayed as alcoholic depressive. There is nothing to suggest the events take place on the Isle of Mann.
The haunting mediocrity of the film finally arrives at the end credits, which feature a montage of cast and crew expressing dissatisfaction with the director.
This film is notable as being an unwavering failure culminating in a fourth wall breaking admission of an unenjoyable production.
As you will see the only positive comments in other reviews refer to camera techniques or actors. The film itself is completely uninteresting.
The studio would have made more money filming Simon Pegg and Christopher Lloyd having a conversation as themselves. Clearly the draw of the movie was the famous actors, as there was no compelling story or characters to enjoy in this feature.
Rick and Morty: Rickdependence Spray (2021)
Babies need a womb to grow
Spoiler: at the end of this episode a baby grows from a single cell, in space. A baby needs a womb to grow. This ending alone made this the worst episode ever of this series.
Star Trek: Lower Decks (2020)
Star trek. Tos, tas, tng, ds9, voyager enterprise and now, lower decks.
Yes, finally for those of us that watched tos, tas, tng, ds9, voyager and enterprise. Lower decks makes many references to these shows. The continuity with the previous shows is extremely satisfying.
The star trek movies from generations onwards severely suffered from a lack of consistency with the series. Discovery and Picard are unrecognisable to me as star trek. It's been a long road, get'n from there, enterprise ending in 2005, to here, some new star trek in 2020. Well done Lower Decks and thank you :)
Star Trek Beyond (2016)
Anachronistic soundtrack
Potentially mediocre movie, that reduces itself to dust by devolving into a cringe 90s music video.
Star Trek: Picard (2020)
Sad
Jean-Luc Picard on tng was a treasure. The Picard in 'generations', 'nemesis' and 'insurrection' was barely recognisable. This new Picard further debased the positive association with this character for possibly hundreds of millions of fans.
Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (2014)
Just stupid
Thoroughly unpleasent show that seeks to take advantage of the uninformed
