Why does this feel like it's made for kids?
24 January 2023
They might be cussing and chopping peoples heads off, but everything else feels like it is straight out of a little kids cartoon. Immature characters, silly plot devices and there are even sad musical numbers, wth? I can't get over all of the high ratings from all demographics. I suggest watching an anime like Log Horizon, Re:Zero or even a classic like Inuyasha for comparison, they are on a totally different level of intelligence and well, everything. I am on episode 5 and I think it has been getting a little better, but I doubt that I will force myself to watch the rest? I can recommend it for a sleep aid. I have been watching it at night before I go to bed and it has taken about a week to get through 4 episodes! :)

A Game of Honor (2011 TV Movie)

Not just about football....watch it!
6 December 2012
Warning: Spoilers
I can't believe this movie does not have all kinds of rave reviews. We watched it last night and we all were really surprised and liked it very much. It was much more than a football movie and we almost didn't watch it because of that. In fact, they could have left out the football story and still had a great documentary. Not that I think they should have. The parts that I found most interesting were about the schools, what the students go through and their families. In fact, I would have enjoyed more about them. If you have any interest in the military, West Point, Annapolis or college football, then do not miss this movie.

Exactly what it looks like, but better....
2 October 2010
I went to catch a sneak preview of "Secretariat" and I was too late, but they were also sneak previewing this movie thirty minutes later so I was the only guy in a sea of women to see "Life as We Know It". This movie is exactly what you think it is going to be. The entire movie is summed up in the previews. But, and it's a big but, the movie is done very well. I enjoyed it. I can not believe that ten lines are now required for reviews. The movie is funny and, for the most part, believable. There are some very funny supporting characters. Everyone in the audience seemed to enjoy it as well. I would recommend this movie to anyone, but if you are a guy, then I suggest taking a date because I felt very out of place being the only guy there that was alone.

Surprised that I enjoyed it.
21 June 2009
Not a bad flick. I don't remember liking the first one, skipped the second one and the only reason I went to see this one was because it was a "sneak preview" that started right after the movie I had gone to see and it was in 3D. I recommend seeing this one in 3D as it was worth the extra couple dollars. I was very surprised at how much I enjoyed it. The story was really stupid and didn't make any sense (dinosaurs living under the ice???), but it kept me interested the entire movie, partly because of the hilarious side story with the acorn loving animal and an excellent job by Simon Pegg as Buck the weasel(I just got done watching his TV show "Spaced" so maybe I am a little partial), who I had no idea was going to be in the movie. This movie also did a wonderful job of keeping everyone in the audience interested. The theater was packed and the only things you heard besides the movie was popcorn chomping and laughter, lots of laughter. Definitely worth seeing at the theater.

Shooter (I) (2007)

Very entertaining and great action, but otherwise comical.
25 March 2007
Warning: Spoilers
Took my 15 year old nephew last night and we both enjoyed the action more than anything we have seen in months (he even liked it more than 300). The book wasn't great to begin with, but the movie loses "A LOT" of the aspects that could have made it an excellent movie. It is good, but "DO NOT" go to this movie expecting a "smart" movie and great acting like most of these reviews are saying. Markie Mark's performance is pretty much the same thing as always, Beatty and Glover just do a walk through, which should be expected in this type of movie and who cares if Kate Mara can act 'cause she is cuteness defined. There are so many things that happen "only in the movies" that you will lose count if you are trying. Just wait till the court-whatever scene and you will probably be a little embarrassed for the director, that is, if you can get your eyes rolled back to their proper viewing position. Good fun though and I suggest seeing it on the big screen too!

Very entertaining, but with huge plot holes.
18 March 2007
I took my two nephews (13 & 15) to an advance screening just now and we all liked the movie. Although, to enjoy it requires a very high level of "suspension of disbelief". A lot of things do not make sense, circumstances that would never happen and some things that just go nowhere in the movie all led to us making fun of the movie afterward. BUT, we all still enjoyed the movie and thought it was good. It is pretty much a high grade B movie. I went after reading the comments on here and was a little cautious because all of the first comments were horrible and then the latest ones were all perfect so I figured "people" were fluffing the votes to get people to go see it because of it's release next weekend and that is why I am posting this. You might want to wait for DVD or go to a twilight viewing(we paid $4 each), but I would not have been mad if I had paid full price. Sorry for the uneven review (kind of like the movie itself), it is my first.
