Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin (2021)
Doesn't fit the franchise AT ALL
This wasn't a bad horror flick. Provided enough jumps to keep it entertaining. That being said, it doesn't deserve a PA title. It doesn't fit the stories at all and would have been better off with a totally separate stand-alone title.
A Tale Dark & Grimm (2021)
Fantastic!
I wish we could reply to reviews on here. There's one referencing their discomfort over Hansel being a POC (eyeroll) their mother is clearly not white. And biracial twins can have different skin tones and features. Not to mention...IT'S A CARTOON!
The animation is wonderful and the story, while a little twisted for younger kids, is still amazing. If you go into every show expecting it to be a replica of the book, you'll be disappointed.
A Nice Girl Like You (2020)
Lot of uptight reviews here.
I loved this movie!
There's not enough raunchy comedies for the romantic ladies out there and I thought this one was great. I feel like all the negative reviews here are from people who typically don't like this style of comedy to begin with, which makes reviewing it unfair in my opinion.
It was cute, raunchy and funny.
Away (2020)
Why all the hate??
I see a lot of negative reviews, but I thought it was phenomenal. The casting choice and acting was superb. The story line, yes, had some cliche moments but what doesn't these days?
I really enjoyed this show, and I hope it's renewed for another season. Hillary Swank does a great job and the cast just flows well together.
Daybreak (2019)
Fun Show
A lot of negative reviews here.
I thought it was a fun and nostalgic show. Had a lot of 80s and 90s movie vibes. No, the acting wasn't Oscar-worthy but given the synopsis would you really expect that?
It was easy to binge-watch, it was entertaining, not your usual apocalyptic story of zombies. Yeah, it's full of stereotypes but who cares? Don't be so sensitive.
