The Magic is gone
24 April 2023
I was hoping for another installment highlighting Channing Tatum stripping and dancing. Instead, he was a dud. Huge disappointment. It felt like a gender reversal of Pretty Woman, only he didn't give the goods. Salma Hayek was like a sugar momma to Channing. He seemed so out of place in London. It could've been done in the United States and it wouldn't have felt so off. We barely saw any of the other dancers from the previous films. Just them on a screen. Again, it felt like putting on a Shakespearean play, only with actors who never read a Shakespeare line in their life. This was a case of they should have stopped at XXL.

Real Friends = Real bad TV
21 January 2023
This show had the same intelligence level as Kardashians trash shows. These "stars" of show I really don't have any idea what they do. Toddrick is trash in my opinion, Brad Goreski was on Fashion Police long ago, the rest of them I don't know or care about watching. These "reality" shows are fake. Everything is so staged it doesn't even feel real. I've seen soap operas on Telemundo that felt more genuine.plus I hate when they film in real places, and basically make the regular people have to stay away, or you are given so many guidelines if you want to stay and be in background. Sorry, I'd rather watch yet more Ridiculousness reruns. Hope this show doesn't last.

Goodbye Scrunchface, never come back
24 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The worst era of the show has finally ended. This story helped give hope for improvement for future Doctors. It was such a great relief when they mentioned past events, that were pretty much canon. Ace wearing the jacket with the badges (those of us that follow the classic era saw the "Flower child earring"), the bat, the Nitro9. Ace mentioning how the Master was half-cat. The Master bringing up Tegan's Aunt Vanessa,. Mentioning Adric. Tegan talking of being a stewardess in 80s. Even Ace using 'Professor". I did love seeing Graham again. Plus many past companions. Ian, Jo, and Melanie. I think all the classic references saved the show from another low rating. The regeneration did throw a slight curve, but in a good way, in my opinion. Hope they remember to keep canon, Jodie's era forgot the past, when show was fun, not preachy.

The rear shot is only reason to watch
29 September 2022
It was almost a parody of the other Thor movies. Like 10 year olds wrote it. Too many bad jokes and not enough story. It felt like they were gonna stop and say to the audience, "Look, we're so sorry, but we've got nothing. We just wrote ideas on a dart board and tossed darts." Natalie Portman as "Thorette" was insulting to the real talent she has in good movie. Chris even seemed to not really be into it. They made Thor act like a jerk. He lost the girl and his hammer, got an ax. Ax was jealous of the hammer. The role of Zeus needed to be someone more buff than Hemsworth. It was just painful to see a great franchise fail.

No knowledge on classic era Sea Devils
18 April 2022
They obviously never watch the Pertwee era. No tie-in to Silurians, Sea Devils has no knowledge of Doctor or TARDIS, and once again canon of the 40+ years was foresaken.

Lame parody of Ridiculousness

Tiffani's voice is loud and annoying. The vids we've seen many times before.Rob must have left studio unlocked and Tiffani "hasn't-been-relivant-since-80s" Theisen snickers in with 3 people whom I've never heard of, but seem to think they are hilarious.

Just end it. BBC is going under, so is this. All the high ratings here are from Chibnall's lackeys.

First we see Doc mopping floor after an apparent alien orgy hapened. Then Graham stupidly activates a teleport to a strange resort planet. The only difference is this time the people that are disgusting in behavior are female! Please end this and get a new Doctor.

Warning: Spoilers
It had some decent points. It seems like all plot points missed last season were met very poorly. First, a mention of UNIT & Torchwood (both gone now). Second, this stole so much from 007. The one letter code names basically ripoff "M" and "Q". "My name is Doctor. The Doctor" (Bond. James Bond). The incidental music was so obviously a mockery of the Ian Flemming creation. Finally, an old enemy returning as a MALE. (So now the Jodie fans cannot say Doctor cannot be male again. Which, in my opinion, would save show. #NotMyDoctor). We need a regeneration soon!

Predictable
15 October 2018
This story was so easy to predict. Jodie continues with her horrid over-the-top bad acting with bad accent. The male companions are such wimps and the female is forgettable. The show has taken a 180 on its formula that worked for 55 years. Its more like Wizard of Oz. Dorothy (Doctor) wants to get back to Kansas (TARDIS) and travels with 3 misfits. The old man is cowardly lion, the girl is tin man (tin star, cop) and the boy is scarecrow. Chibnall is the flying monkey. #EpicFail

7 October 2018
The show that started in 1963 has been scrapped and repieced together with garbage. Like dissecting a frog and replacing its heart with a pebble. BBC has killed the show! Too many companions at once. Her voicevto hard to understand. I quit watching after she started shrieking. She is #NotMyDoctor and never will be.

Truly truly truly NOT outrageous!
20 January 2016
I remember watching the cartoon series Jem on Saturday mornings. I have the complete DVD collection, so I know the cartoon history of the show. This movie failed to follow it. First, the main "villian" was Eric Raymond, not Erica. Second, Synergy in the cartoon looked like a giant organ, and projected itself to look like a female. This version looked like a reject R2D2. Third, the rest of the band were made up of girls who were adopted by Jerrica's father, and were not delinquents (as the film portrays when running from cops). Rio in the cartoon was not related to Eric(a) Raymond at all, and were closer to same age. Plus cartoon Rio was not a singer. The people who made this flop of a movie obviously didn't do research. Some things should not be re-invented. Classics should be left alone.

Santa's Little Helper, a gift no one wants...
24 November 2015
Again, the WWE thinks they can write movies, and they think their wrestlers can act. Wrong! This story is a lot like A Christmas Carol meets It's A Wonderful Life. The Miz is not a horrible actor, but he is too full of himself to be taken seriously as an actor. Saraya-Jade Bevis (known as Paige in the credits and in the ring) is actually very good in this, and in my opinion, is the reason the movie is even watchable. Miz's real life wife Maryse also appears in this movie as Melody, the bartender. I said it before, but WWE needs to stop with movies and stick with wrestling (which they are barely passing muster as well). The movie is cute and the younger fans of Miz and Paige will enjoy it. This would be a good movie for the kids to watch while the grown ups are fixing the Holiday meals. Put this in their stocking, but older kids may think it's so-so, but give it a chance.

"I would like, if I may, to take you on a strange journey."
29 September 2015
2015 will mark the 40th anniversary of this classic. I first watched this on a VHS tape back in 1990 and became hooked immediately. According to history, this movie originally did not get any rave reviews. But the loyal fans who watch it over and over gave it life. The idea is you have the VHS/DVD at home to "dream it", then go to the midnight showing to "be it". RHPS has everything. Catchy music, dance routines which are taught to you ("Time Warp" literally walks you through it), great characters, and a little "naughtiness". Those with the deluxe DVD can learn about interacting with the film (such as throwing toast, wearing newspaper hats, tossing toilet paper). I have watched this movie so many times, I could quote it word for word. I have gone to midnight showings. I usually dress like one of the Transylvanians (which is basically an ill-fitting tuxedo, wild sunglasses and party hat). For most, I suggest you watch it at home to learn basics, then when you feel brave, go to a midnight show with friends that have done it before. Anyway, I love the movie, and most who enjoy having fun will love it as well.

Fifty Shades of yuck
13 May 2015
All the hype for the books and this movie made it sound like this would be a wild erotic thriller with lots of sexual scenes. What I ended up seeing was a bunch on toned down versions of S &M. Now, I am not into that, but I was expecting something borderline x-rated. Many of the scenes were all build up to... nothing. If someone was to have a relationship like this in real life, they would be bored with it quickly. We did get brief scenes of Ana's naked breasts and rear, Christian's chest and a little of his bare butt. I assumed that because women found this book series so "amazing", it meant they would get some beefcake. I think I will just wait for someone to make a gay parody of this to get more enjoyment. Even a comedy version would be better. Perhaps those that made Superfast and Vampires Suck could do something more enjoyable.

WWE makes another lame movie
21 April 2015
Once again, WWE proves that they have no skills with movies. Mike "The Miz" Mizanin is predictable in another movie with high energy and low talent. We have all seen the "acting" these wrestlers do on TV, so now we are supposed to sit thru an entire movie of bad acting, horrible reactions, and dialog that falls flat. Summer Rae has looks, and that is all. The DVD cover is almost identical to the GI Joe films (even using the tag line "There is no greater force than an all American hero", which is very similar to "A real American Hero") I will not give spoilers, because you will predict how it will go 5 minutes into it. So what will be next? Marine 5 starring Torito? Marine 6 with Fandango? WWE should give up movies, and the lame "storylines" on their Raw and Smackdown shows. This movie is only good if you need something to stabilize your wobbly coffee table. The box is just right for that. And the DVD can be put on wall (shiney side out) as a small mirror, so you can see the fool who bought this DVD.

The American Mall (2008 TV Movie)

Horrible
29 March 2015
I bought this DVD from a bargain bin, and I still paid too much. I find sappy musicals so annoying, and this one hit a new low for me. I have heard more depth in songs on Jem! The songs are so heavily auto tuned, it was like listening to Britney and Madonna caterwauling! The characters are all so shallow, the dance routines make Glee look like Hamlet. The whole movie was a giant "flash mob" with little flash and a lame mob. The plot line is very similar to many teen dramas (90210, Degrassi, Parker Lewis Can't Lose). I had never heard of any of the "actors" in this movie, and I can see why. All very forgettable performances, although I thought "Ben" (the hot dog guy) was cute. Save your money, don't bother with this one.

Pulp Fiction - A great movie
15 July 2013
I saw this on DVD recently, and was really pleased with it. From the opening scene with "Pumpkin" and "Honey Bunny" until the last scene, I was glued to the screen. Seeing all the big names interact was a lot of fun. John Travolta, Uma Thurman, Bruce Willis, and more. All the characters had an important part in the story. No minor roles, and all of them should have been given an award! The scene with the "gimp" was a bit disturbing, but it didn't hurt the viewing. Tarentino's films are always gripping your attention and holding it until the last credit goes by. I highly recommend this movie. Be sure to get the DVD with the extras, and you will enjoy your night in front of the television. Start dancing the "bat-tusi" and have fun!
