Death wish is a film that deals with the subject of vigilantism while at first seems reckless but because of Michael winner's direction it is more of a commentary of new York in the 70s Charles Bronson is at his best here as Paul kersey an architect who's wife and daughter become the victims of home invaders one of them played by jeff Goldblum in his first on screen role . Vincent Gardenia's Performance as Frank Ochoa is outstanding his characters adds some humor but his character still feels realistic and grounded in reality and that is hard to accomplish but Michael winner pulls it off beautifully. The acting and dialog is on point for what this film is trying to accomplish Charles Bronsin is not a dramatic actor but his facial expression's in the film convey more then he could just speaking about how he is feeling. In the film. One of the best aspects of this film i feel is its cinematography by Arthur j Ornitz his use of Realistic color and shadows made the film feel real its as if were witness's to what's going on in the film itself. And i love the music By Herbie Hancock is excellent it adds to the suspense and action. This film is more than a revenge thriller it is a artistic look at new York during one of its biggest crime waves and what a man might do when he loses everything and it should not be missed.

This film may not be original in any way but it is very entertaining and well executed adventure film with great humor and action that more than makes up for its lack of originality. The direction Ruben Fleisher is first rate with exciting action sequences and hilarious humor that made me laugh all the way through. Tom holland and Mark Wahlberg have excellent chemistry as Nathan drake and sully they give enjoyable performances along with Sophia Ali as Chloe Frazer . The film is not perfect though the Antagonist are not very compelling and many times throughout the film you do not really learn much about them they feel if they are just there sometimes but the performance's of Antonio Banderas And Tati Gabreille are good enough but overall if you are looking for something that is pure fun Uncharted is a well made Adventure film that i recommend.

Wolverine is a character that has been loved and adored since his first appearance in marvel comics, but only one actor has given the character justice and that is the incredibly talented Hugh Jackman.He has been in many great films like Les miserable and the Prestige but many fans will always see the character of wolverine as his one defining role That he played incredibly. Out of all his x men films Logan is his most emotional and powerful outing as the character of all time. It is not just Hugh Jackman that shines but Patrick Stewart is also utterly fantastic as professor X. The Characters show frailty and vulnerability that the character has not shown in previous films. Dafne Keen is phenomenal as X 23 she says very little in the way of dialogue but she brings a father Daughter dynamic to the film that I think the film needed. The action sequences along with cinematography are fantastic and and it gives this film the grit that this film needs a good antagonist But Logan sadly has pretty cookie cutter Antagonist Boyd Holbrook is not bad in this film but his character feels generic and shallow and could stand a little more time dedicated to the antagonist overall but in the en this film is not James Mangold's masterpiece but a brilliant send of to the character that the fans deserve.

I love the western genre but out of all the American westerns I have seen this one is without a doubt one of Sam Peckinpah's best films. Its bloody violent but also a film about loyalty and trust.The way the director presents the films bloody shootouts is that he does not glorify them in any capacity and that is one of the films biggest strengths, but the best thing about the film is its cast.With stars like William Holden as the leader of the bunch, with Ernest Borgnine Edmond O'Brian, Ben Johnson, and many other incredible actors Whose performances are unforgettable and incredible and each actors plays of each other brilliantly . Sam Peckinpah in my opinion set the standard of how all westerns should strive to be.

out of all the science fiction films of the 70s this one is one of my favorites because of the films wonderful cast like Charlton Heston' and Edward G Robinson in his his last and final role as sol which I think is one of is best acting performances of his career. the film has wonderfully artistic cinematography and astounding set pieces that not many films have anymore. when it comes to truly great cinema Soylent Green is in my opinion one of the very best in its genre. One of my other favorite things about this film is its great pacing and its suspense that keeps the film interesting and memorable because of the films energy and intensity.

This is one of those films that not just made Fred Williamson a star but also a iconic figure in the early 1970s. The film does have some flaws such as the acting which to me had many mediocre moments but the film had many great moments that were believable and authentic. I also love Larry Cohen's approach to the film in the 1930's Warner Bro's gangster film fashion which is not to me a bad thing. The thing I loved the most about this particular film was its use of violence and how ugly and horrible it really is but in my personal opinion this a flawed but powerful gangster film that I consider a classic of the genre and a very memorable piece of film making by Larry Cohen.

There are many films with ensemble cast but most of them do not really seem to work.The cast of this film really seem to work because the cast was chosen very carefully with stars like George Clooney, and Mark Wahlberg, and many others talented actors who all deliver powerful performances with Diane Lane giving one of her best performances. Wolfgang Petersen has directed films with similar emotional traits Like his 1981 masterpiece Das Boot. These stories are completely different from each other but having some similarities in that each film is a story about the courage and will of men who fight for their lives. Out of all of Wolfgang Petersen's film this is one of my favorite films he has made. The element of this film that makes this film powerful and moving is the music by James Horner, his music is powerful and emotionally gripping. This film to me shows Wolfgang Petersen's talent and ability as A filmmaker.

Brian DE Palma has always been A controversial director for his usage of violence and nudity in his films, and some people consider his films trashy and sexist. But in my opinion his films have a really deep meaning than a lot of people think. His films are violent and they do have nudity and sexuality but he does not use it just for the sake of having the kind of content he uses it in many ways like to explain something about A character or how much to characters feel about each other. but for some reason many people think this film is a Alfred Hitchcock rip of and to me that not true. Brian De Palma gave the film A style of its own that separate's the film for A Hitchcock thriller, like in the way he tells the story and the way the characters develops throughout the film. Dressed to kill has a wonderful cast with famous actors like Michael who gives A wonderful and memorable performance, And Angie Dickinson who is just wonderful in her role, I also love Nancy Allen in this film because She brings A feeling of realism to her character, I think everyone in the film brings the same feeling to me, Brian DE Palma has a style that to me completely separates him from Alfred Hitchcock. Pino Donnagio's score is gorgeous and unforgettable he is to me one of the best composers of his time. in the end dressed to kill is one of Brian DE Palmas greatest achievements of his long and wonderful career and established him as one of the master of suspense.

Thunderbolt and Lightfoot is one of those films that Hollywood and the people of today have forgotten. This film is more than a caper and road comedy film. It is also A film about it's characters who are played wonderfully by a grade A cast starring Clint Eastwood as the laconic loner, also starring Jeff Bridges who gives A wonderful Oscar nominated performance as Lightfoot, with wonderful supporting actors George Kennedy as the violent and menacing red Leary, and also Gregory Lewis as Eddie Goody. The whole cast gives wonderful performance's that are to be praised and remembered. The other thing worth praising is the direction of Michael Cimino, who also did the writing for the film which made it a very memorable winner and the editing by Ferris Webster was excellent also the cinematography by Frank Stanley is gorgeous, the images will stay with you long after the film ends.Overall this film is one of the best classics that movie goers of today have nearly forgotten.

I have seen the superman movies from the 70s and 80s but man of steel is probably the best modern day superman movie.This origin story of superman is amazingly well written because this story shows a different take on the superman origin in a fresh and new way in my opinion. The direction by Zack Snyder who also directed films like 300 and also watchmen did an amazing job directing man of steel because Zack Snyder is familiar with the way a comic book adapted into a film should be directed. The film was very well casted with actors like Henry Cavill and Amy Adams as Lois Lane.With many others like Lawrence Fishburne Diane lane, Kevin Costner,Michael Shannon and Russell Crowe who all make their perspective rolls their own. Overall this movie is,in my opinion,the best movie of the summer.
