It follows a certain recipe for Christmas movies, you just have to forget the unrealistic parts, for example the fact that she spent only 4 days at the lodge and it seemed more like 2 weeks.
Lindsay Lohan acts ok on this movie although you can see that she is somewhat anxious / uncomfortable. Like acting in Christmas movies is something new to her or it's because she hasn't been in a movie for a while. The cheesy scenes look like they required a lot of efforts nevertheless she is always smiling and her acting is appropriate. She did better at acting in 'I know who killed me' in my opinion (but I know I'm the only one who enjoyed that movie. I'm not sure why people hated it. I think she received too much criticism for past movies.)
When I first started watching I was skeptical but the recipe works and at the end of the movie I didn't mind its flaws as much, I enjoyed the style. It reminds me 'A prince for Christmas' (or any other Christmas movie, they all have similar lines and stories).
