This was so true to life .There was no help - the phones rang out, the PPE didn't come, the elderly were thrown back into homes to die .Well acted and poignant ,we should never have either of the above back in power to cause such devastation again .

The characters made you care about what happened to them and so many people will relate to this story .It's a shame it had a sad ending ending , but this was also true to life for a lot of people . If only we knew then what we knew now , this film demonstrates how we blindly believed a government who had no clue what they were doing and the actors did an amazing job of portraying everyone's frustration. Great film .

This could have been great .If they hadn't dabbled in the supernatural hokum , they could have made more .Natalie Dormer was here , she was there ,she was every bleeping where .How come no one thought she looked a bit like one of the other characters ? I mean Mama Maria saw a few versions of her and never saw the likeness ? The German doctor with the soft heart who wanted there to be no more war ? yet he was happy to put his wife in the sanitarium in a shot .I suppose we should be glad that Natalie Dormer didn't play all the roles !! Nathan Lane was brilliant as the worn down old cop ,I'd like to have seen more of him .Mama Maria and her faith wore me down .Somehow though she was an old woman , she had the energy to create a lethal looking fire hazard of a shrine, then cook for for her vast family , schlepp across town and housekeep cleaning and cooking and praying , enough already . I won't miss the fake German accents , though Rory Kinnear ( Roy's son ) did a decent enough job .I enjoyed it overall and it was sort of left open for more episodes .But they'd have to dream up more wigs for Ms Dormer and give Nathan more screen time .

This was just shown on tv, and I'm aware it's been around for years.First time for me though .It is a horrible film , full of violence , for violence sake The 2 "adults" make stupid decisions all the way through .It so frustrating to watch them as you are driven to distraction by their naievity , missed chances and sheer stupidity. Anyone in their right mind would have left the woods as you could see trouble coming .Why the 2 main stars chose to make this film ,God knows .It has no message, no redeeming qualities ,just blood lust ..and brutality for the sake of it.One star is too much .

This has to be the worst film Berry has ever done.The dialogue- mostly to herself - is dire .The "chase " is just ridiculous .She had so many chances to kill off or ram the kidnappers it was laughable. You wanted to scream at every stupid opportunity she missed .Illogical drivel not worth your time.Cringe .

I have been looking out for this film for ages .Since I saw it on TV years ago .I spotted it on e bay on DVD and my husband reluctantly watched it with me .Although it seems a bit cheesy now ,I still enjoyed it .If you liked this you'll like Somewhere In Time with Christopher Reeves . Even my husband watched it through to the end though he did take a few pot shots at it every now and again (Lyndsey Wagner's wig looked about to totally drop off in the water at one point !! ) but overall , if you like romantic old movies you might like this .

I loved the house and costumes too!The guy from the past is quite dishy as well .

I loved Billy Connelly in this , he made the film for me .But the parents of the kids ,and the kids themselves are pretty annoying .Overlooking the fact the that kids are all about under ten - going on 80 , and are so mouthy and precocious that you kind of wanted the social worker to break the family up to allow them all to have a rest from all the whining and arguing and constant bickering .It was still hard to believe they slapped a happy ending on it after the mother saying a few scant words that somehow made it all right .

Great first half that deteriorated into mayhem, unbelievable events and a cheesy ending that was cringe worthy .4 points for Billy and 2 for the lovely Scottish scenery .

I thought I was so late watching this film, for all the hype it had I must have overlooked watching it .At the end of the film ,I then remembered why I hadn't bothered watching it , my son had told me the ending was rubbish .Too late ! I'd sat through it and concluded this for myself .What a swizz .I felt like I did at the end of Lost .Sort of- well what the hell was that about ! started off good but descended into a mess . The main character in it to me seemed like an idiot who didn't learn from his mistakes .Fleeing up to the deck in the midst of a flipping storm and leaving the deck door wide open .Ripping the cover from the tiger on the boat so he could share his trippy sky storm moment and hence losing his supplies .You wanted to throttle him . Then to hear at the end it had all been a euphemism for a horrible experience , I was so annoyed . How did this film get so much hype ? it wasn't a feel good movie after all .The poor animals , the depressing truth at the end and how the hell someone was supposed to find God of any kind at the end of this long lie ? Just ridiculous .Don't buy it on DVD as it's a waste of money IMO .
