Victoria: A Coburg Quartet (2019)
Implausible scenarios becoming more implausible.
This third season of Victoria has been marred by significant deviations from history for the sake of drama. The anachronistic behavior superimposed on the characters by the series' writers is highly implausible at times. Lord Palmerston and Victoria, for instance, did indeed have quarrels but the degree of familiarity and disrespect he showed her in the earlier episodes of this season is beyond credulity. The same applies to the Duchess who is having an affair with a footman. Worse. Victoria's half-sister, Feodora, did not live for any extended time in Buckingham Palace with the royal family. In truth she had a positive relationship with her sister and when visiting England was granted a stipend of 300 Pounds. "Feodora" merely serves as device to create tension and drama in a series with the end result being that it cheapens it.
