The Walking Dead: World Beyond: Shadow Puppets (2020)
Getting annoying
"Why are you doing this" because it the end of the world and it's survival. So naive, all the kids should be dead now, just through stupidity. Also agree the makers of the show should add some realism with how clean they all are after being this long on the road.
Plagi Breslau (2018)
Polish "7"
While not actually being a bad film, the acting is ok and the special effects and make up are very good, what let's the film down is the awful, clunky dialogue. Some of the Police seem to be almost comic characters and there are some purely comics scenes ie people running screaming just because a horse is running the street. They even seem to have not bothered to reshoot a scene where detective returns a ball to a child hitting her in the head by accident (worth seeing the film just for that scene). All in all, best Polish film I've seen all year
The Walking Dead: Swear (2016)
Filler episode?
Rewatching this episode of TWD, despite what a lot of the others think this isn't a filler episode. This introduced a whole new community and they play a vital part in the fight back. There are good action scenes, and as for Tara's comment about liking running, it's called sarcasm!
Wolf (2019)
Oh dear Lord
One of the worse films I've had the pleasure to watch. Bad acting I can put up with, but historical inaccuracies really put my back up. A black woman in the Roman army, really??!!
Destination Truth: Haunted Forest/Alux (2009)
Great episode
So pleased Josh, went to the Hoia Baci forest one place I would love to visit.
A honesty creepy place, they get strange light and good EVP's and something amazing happens to one of the crew. Nice to see Jael de Pardo joining the team.
In reply to one of the other reviews, if you look on Google Earth you can clearly see the barren circle they visited, so don't know where he was looking!
Color Out of Space (2019)
Just awful
What in the hell is going, how do these films get made? Can't someone take Nicolas Cage and tell him he is really badly overacting (again). None of the family make sensible decisions, not that you really care what happens to them.
Could have been a decent Outer Limit episode instead.
9-1-1: Worst Day Ever (2018)
No reality at all
I would expect you would have advisors from the LAPD and Fire Dept advising the shows makers. So many stupid scenarios, the Sgt going into the party. Firemen going into the water without life vests, there is apparently just the one fire engine at the crash. The whole bit about arresting the whole plane just so they could get off the plane. I realise this is a TV show, but cmon...
9-1-1: Next of Kin (2018)
Totally unrealistic
I'm not a fireman, but I'm pretty sure that if you have a truck load of suffocating immigrants, you don't have time to stand around chatting on the phone. I had high hopes for this series, but even Chicago Fire is more realistic...
Stay Out Stay Alive (2019)
Just bad
Avoid this pile of rubbish at all costs. Stupid story, plot holes everywhere, acting mediocre at best. Characters making awful decisions even for a horror film, just not worth your time.
Lethal Weapon: Coyote Ugly (2019)
Bit of Realism please
I know this is US tv, but cmon. Murtaugh in a car, automatic weapons firing at point blank range, and no damage to the car or windscreen??? Poor effort.
Haunted Highway: Shades of Death/Bridge of Doom (2013)
The Road
One of my favourite episodes, while Jael and Devon investigate the site of an old train crash. The best part of the episode though was with Dana and Jack who drive along "Shades of Death" road and Ghost Lake in NJ.
A road I wouldn't like to drive at night, it certainly provides more than a few incidents. Good episode.
Haunted Towns: Ghosts of the Gallows (2019)
Murder Investigation
The team head to Boise Idaho, to investigate an old Penitentiary to speak with two famous murderers.
They get responses from the female victim of one of the murderers, which lead them to an old club, the site of her murder.
Haunted Towns: A Wraith's Revenge (2019)
Hunt for Big Nose
The lads head to Rawlins Wyoming, which looks a really cold place. Where an outlaw by name of Big Nose George was hanged in the local prison and parts of his body kept. Lots of EVP's and an interesting investigation in the prison. Good episode.
Haunted Towns: Phantoms of the Frontier (2019)
Asylum and a Jail
The lads head to Independence Missouri, the last stop before the Wild West.
They investigate a old mansion that was used as an asylum and the town jail where a Sheriff was killed during a breakout.
A face at the window (not sure in that, as we had just seen a camera angle from the same spot), a weird shape on the thermal camera and voices on the Speaker box are the best of the action.
Haunted Towns: Voodoo on the Bayou (2019)
Swamp Hunt
This is the first time, I've seen this show.
To be honest this type of thing has been done a lot better, Ghost Hunters and Ghost Adventures.
The lads head to the swamps of Louisiana, to find the ghosts of escaped slaves, and basically that was it, not much else happened.
Not be the best, but will keep watching.
Haunted Highway: Manchac Swamp/Moonville Tunnel (2013)
Spooky Tunnel
Jack and Dana visit a haunted swamp in Louisiana, where they hear strange singing and see an unexplainable shape in the mist.
Jael and Devon visit an alleged haunted tunnel in Ohio, where again they get strange lights and shadows.
A good episode and that tunnel is very spooky.
Haunted Highway: Island of the Lost Souls (2013)
Fort Jefferson
The team join forces for a investigation of Fort Jefferson, an abandoned Fort in an island 10 miles off the Florida Keys.
Lots of poltergeist activity, and Dana genuinely get freaked out when trapped at the top of the lighthouse.
An extra star for Jael and Dana in their bikinis.
Fright Fest (2018)
Fun horror
What's with the hate?
This is perfect little cheap horror film, acting is ok, as is the story, but the main thing is the special effects are very good, and the kills are great.
Just relax and enjoy the fun, there are far worse horror films out there.
Crawl (2019)
Just popcorn fun
Ok so it's not going to win an Oscar, but this is just an enjoyable fun little horror film. Great action and actors are good, just go enjoy it.
Einsatzgruppen, les commandos de la mort: Judenfrei (2009)
Judenfrei
Nazi death groups go to work in Romania, Ukraine and Latvia.
Most distressing was a survivor of an execution on a Latvia beach, taking the viewer through a number of photographs taken on the day, even naming certain people.
Hard to believe normal Police units shot women and children.
Never forget.
Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files: Sasquatch Sprint/Alien Attacker (2010)
Alien fake
The first half with Bigfoot was pretty good as they disproved the video, but the nightvision didn't show the cameramen who were clearly with the 2 investigators.
The alien story was clearly ridiculous, "I take an alien body home" but don't ring the Police or the Press, I mean c'mon!
Ghost Adventures: Ancient Ram Inn (2009)
Witchcraft and the Devil
I love this episode, as The Ram Inn is local to me and I have actually been on Ghost Hunts here. Unfortunately the owner John is now dead and he was a real character and I feel he does have an impact in this episode. It's great to see the guys out of the US as well.
The Ram Inn is definitely an experience.
The Cropsey Incident (2017)
How do these films get made?
I was prepared to give this film a chance, however it is just bad.
Awful acting, apart from Hannah Phelps who is on.
The characters are pretty much vile people, who are seeking internet fame, I was just waiting for them to die.
It is obviously zero budget, and found footage but it no excuse how cheap and amateur this is. I'd recommend you watch Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum to see how it's done.
Ghost Adventures: Preston Castle (2009)
Zack possessed
The team head to an old Reform School in Ioane, California.
The place looks amazing, large and dilapidated, I would love to do a Ghost Hunt in myself.
The team get a lot of evidence, included lots of EVP's and even get scratched. They do show a mist travelling down a corridor but I must admit I can't see anything.
Zack does possessed by a spirit and starts acting strangely, freaking Aaron our.
Good episode, and a new place on my list to visit.
Why Hide? (2018)
Just awful
If this is the current shape of British filmmaking then God help us.
A group of pretty vile characters meet up for Christmas in a isolated house where they encounter a supernatural creature.
This is just bad, I struggled through to the end but only just. Neither scary or funny, I was happy when characters were killed off.
Don't waste your time.
