Another interesting Sun King era movie
3 March 2023
I watched this movie due to my raising interest in Sun King art patronage and Lully music. So far I was listening to Luly almost all time and watched Le Roi Dances from time to time with same great pleasure. In this one I was looking for Moliere and Racine characters. And I was happy to see how director depicted them however much of difference to what I imagined them according to their biographies. Yet movie is a movie - it is to give you and provide some insight.

I got interest in Comedie Francais and I am happy about such nice movies. Sophie Marceau played bright role in the movie. Showed dancing talent and her seductive beauty and some nipples.

I watched the movie in French however I can't speak a word in French. I really enjoyed the show and I think of learning French just to listen to Moliere and Racine in original.

The very best "music bio" film
2 March 2023
I have watched this movie probably 20 times and find it always enjoyable. Mainly because the music is perfectly connected to the movie script and particular moments. Especially the very last opera scene when we see Lully getting older and older his hair getting more grey yet the music is still coninuing. At the same time the king and the court become darker and older.... Very moving scene. Like most of the movie.

I do not receice it as a biography. It is rather a presentation of Lully masterpieces along with the film scenes. Somehow similar to Amadeus but Forman managed to bring his movie on different level what brought him several Oscars. Mainly because he focuces his story much more on the conflict with another composer. With Lully we cannot see any particular conflict except within himself. His desires, his passion confronted with his dependance on King.

I really enjoyed the King character. Played perfectly by the actor who gave the King something very unique - solitude. Growing masculinity.

And of course Moliere character by Tierry. I really wish the accent was on their cooperation more. Worth to note this is the cooperation between them gave us opera we know today and all other music shows linking singing and dancing and theatrical shows. It is a great source of histoiry aboout how art was developing. I see this thing too little accented.

Despite small things... I still love this film.

Mostly because I am always listening to Lully works while I work on my photographs - I am a pro portrait photographer- and it give me lots of pleasure listening to the petit monets. I encourage to try.

Wonderful funny classic with great cast and acting
26 February 2023
I have discovered this gem just lately. And watched it with great pleasure without any moment of Fast Forward - which happens to me often with nowaday productions.

Great parody of almost all French Revolution movies and some Dumas stories.

What I really enjoyed was acting of Gene Wilder and Donald Sutherland. Two pairs of misplaced twins accidentally misplaced again as adults. One pair aristocrats and the other peasants. And lots of fun. Plus great females, nudity jokes, great script and pleasurelable set. And costumes.

Everything creates very pleasure to watch film which cannot get old. I will be returning to it since there are lots of petty scenes which I have definitely missed.

Great movie with superb acting and wonderful decorations
26 February 2023
Actually the title says it all.

I have this movie in my collection since I have discovered it several years ago. By chance. Watching TV late night with nothing else to do.. I was some 35 or 40 at that time. And I loved it.

I loved the story, the pace, narrative, characters and actor.

Sam Neil as the King does wonderful job. Depicting Charles II was a great honor to England's history. Actually the whole story is a moral proverb not a biography. That is another reason I like it. Not being a biography it is a light style story of a man who changes in result of circumstances.

Robert Donwey Jr plays magnificently. It is a gem in his career. And Meg Ryan and her foot play - you need to see it. Small role for her but worth watching. Especially when she is not a main heroine but plays supporting role.

And Ian McKellan is also fantastic. Not to mention Hugh Grant.

All these actors together make the film lovely....enjoyable.

And decorations.... I have no idea if Zanetti used computer magic but he depicted 1660 London with great results.

Worth watching! If you like small pleasures that would make you return to it. For me it is a thing that I get back when I feel sad. After watching I am much better!

Fast forward watching
21 February 2023
I started quite interesting.

Then the plot started to be less and less connected with the mystery of 5 year gap. Rather than that there are new subplots and new characters while the main antagonists seem to be out of sight.

Actually to simplify the whole thing - the more you watch it the more stupid it gets.

Then the characters - dialogues and acting.

The top problematic character is THE GRACE. And then others follow.

I just wonder - a plane lands back after 5 years of being missing. The plot should be dedicated to solving the mystery from scientific point of view. At the same time this Major just steals bio lab results and watches people. So dumb and stipid .....the more you watch it the more you think that is it machine made script.

That is why I watch it on FFV mode. I watch each epizode in some 5 minutes. I wonder how the actors feel playing in such soap opera...

Acting...moving...running.... even touching things is so artificial so untrained so pathetic in acting that it makes it look so damned amateurish.

Never seen so promising subject killed in so dumb manner.

Talking too much Except Negan
15 February 2023
The whole series is interesting from the point of view of total solitude and destruction of society. I used to watch it with interest yet I started to be some kind of "let's make it longer and longer so we can produce more and sell more". Dialogues became boring. Whole storytelling got long and tedious bore. I started watching it in a FFV mode. Moved to moments of fight or action.

What displeased me lately was another implementation of LGBT motives. Suddenly with no necessity two of characters prove to be lesbians while it does not bring anything into the storyline. Just to show how they get to bed and kiss. At the same time with all society destruction there is absolutely no women enslaving which would be the very first thing in primitive societies - females become a merchandise. Suprisingly there is nothing about it in the whole series - just like there is no sexual violence of any kind.

Finally ... script writers intruce more and more character, more and more sub lines and this is predictable that these subplots would be exploted later just to make another episode and more more and more....cash.

Too much talking. Blah Blah Blah just to make it longer.

This good for Roleplay games - so many characters, NPCs and groups and bands and so on. But for TV series? You can forgive once or twice.....

So if you plan to make characters talking so much hire more Nagans since this is the talking person who you ejoy listening to.

Always returning to it
3 January 2023
It is one of my best if not the very best series of all.

Why? Simple: construction and characters and interactions between them.

We have the main duo of people who "fight for the better tomorrow" where one is brains and the other muscles yet it sometimes seems muscles is also brains. Interactions between them two are based on pure male friendship yet full of secrets.

Then several background characters who are perfectly developed.

Storyline seems to be repetitive but this is the point - you have a number you trace the person and save it. The difference is in the story behind the person.

Then you have archenemies who track our heroes and want to get hands on their "machine".

Very good acting, very good plots and very good ideas when getting into past linking it all together. You forgive naive open holes to enjoy the characters you simply like.

I always return to it when I notice other offers are really poor.

Best of the best Creme de la Creme Simon baker makes a fantastic hero
22 August 2022
Mentalist is simply the best crime story I have even seen.

Why?

Oh several reasons......

First.....

and most important:

The main hero is almost always smiling and is almost always positive.

Second

Main hero chases bad guys but....he also has to deal with narrow minded team he has to work with. No matter how nice the team is being presented they are narrow minded. I am not sure if it was an actual intent. It is not really important.

Third

Main hero is well dressed. Trousers, vest and jacket and a shirt.

Many stories involve remarks on style.

Fourth Many inputs about control and manipulation. Stories involve correcting bad things done by evil people by main hero.

He is very likeable mainly because....

He is totally alone encircled by morons.... And he tries very hard to make them feel as smart as he is.....

I love this story and I often return to it.

Most stupid movie I have ever seen with lots of LGBT elements
15 August 2022
I was really shocked watching this movie two days ago.

It was hard to believe things that I was watching.

The level of stupidity and crazyness crossed the red line.

Actually I am not sure what the movie was about since the storyline was....absent...... But I know who is gay and who is lesbian. Aggressive LGBT propaganda is strange even to me - a man with liberty in my heart.

I am not interested in erotic life of movie characters and I wonder why it was so important to advertise it instead of proper storyline and characters. Two days passed and I cannot remember a damn thing about this movie...! I feel like some rip off...

My 14 year old son fan of Marvel told me that he was sorry watching this crap. This was not a movie. It was a crap.

The next day I went to Top Gun Maverick and it was a really great movie.....

Plastic characters poor dialogues boring acting and bad casting
15 August 2022
I watched this series because it was based on Connely's book. And I really enjoyed the movie the series is based on. I paid my attention and enjoyed.....some of the Season 1.

I have just finished Bosch (Bosch Legacy....do not ask me about it) and enjoyed every minute of it. I hoped the series has more life. Yet it was stiff and boring. Predictable.

First wife, second wife. Wife as DA who conflicts with main hero and does not see it. Daughter who is put into this just because situation needs to be complex. And a driver of hero who accidently needs to be lesbian.

I could bear all of it if...... the bad guys were really bad. This is the bad guys who make the story. Here bad guys were really weak.

Sorry - you tried.... 70th time the same errors....

Yet I believe 4 is a good score....

The way sequels should be made
15 August 2022
Top Gun Maverick was my antidote to Thor Love and Thunder I saw the day before. The dose of stupidity was saw big I simply needed some immediate treatment. So me and my 14 year old son selected Top Gun. And it was a very good choice. My son said: Dad I am not a fan of planes but the movie was made so well that I enjoyed every minute of it.

Funny thing is that the movie is predictable yet give lots of joy. It takes much from original Top Gun yet it does not require that you know it. Rather makes you intrigued to watch it or watch it again.

The movie surprised me several times and I had some open mouth moments. This is what what "HOW" is all about. The story is very simple and it is told in a very good way. Tom Cruise is a very good actor and producer and I really respect his hard work on things he gets involved in.

Very good casting of new faces. Some cliche moments do not spoil pleasure of watching the whole thing.

And there are lots of nice surprises. You think you see the end of action scene while you get another even better.

And on the top of it they play "and old man" card very well exploring Tom Cruise's coming to maturity.

All played well, great pleasure watching and you simply like all characters.

I wonder if they plan to continue the series because this is a very good character to base some more plane stories on.

Mediocre as itself - poor as compared to original series. And intro music.....damn
13 August 2022
I am a great fan of the original series. I literally "ate and swallowed" the whole original series. There were moments my jaw dropped. Sometimes things were predictable but I was joy watching things happen.

And it was a good mixture of crime solving and police work plus some personal issues of people. Not to mention main hero struggling with his past and daughter, ex wife and people around him. Titus Welliver is a great actor in this series.

And here we come Legacy....

It is like someone takes foot of accelerator pedal. Like your speed drops. Pressure drops. Like authors have no really idea what to put into the story.

Suddenly it is a story of some private detective with no past or experience [????]. Creators continued to squeeze three cases at one time in a storyline but they are simply boring. Bad guys seem to have no character development. Pace is slow. Like budget has been cut to one third.

I feel disappointment and I feel bad. Yet it is first season - I hope they get back on track.

Bosch (2014–2021)

One of the the best police series I have ever seen
6 August 2022
When I am writing this on another screen I am buying books by Michael Connelly to get even more into the world of Harry Bosch.

And.... I wish Spencer by Robert B. Parker is filmed in similar manner....

Funny thing is I found the series accidentally on Amazon Prime. I found it and then read about it here. And got shocked so started to watch. First episode was a bit strange and now I know that it was strange because it was so different from most of TV series.

What I LOVE in this series:

Very good plots - most instances two or three cases are being run simultanously. None of them was boring.

Characters and main hero played by great Titus Welliver. I loved him in many productions yet this one is his show and he plays great. I really love the man. Pleasure watching him acting.

The more you watch the better the seasons are: I think people behind it learn and learn quick. There is no boring stuff. No stuck up. All is always interesting.

Great character development: I enjoy all absolutely all characters in this series. They are well built and constructed. You know of them much enough. Some leading characters like Bosch, J. Edgar, Billets and Chief often interact.

Character types: If someone is a bad guy he is casted that way. You simply see it. That is a very good casting. If someone is a good guy you also see this. If someone is sleazy - you see this. Characters are developed this way.

Perfect storyline

Dad Daughter relation - plus daughter actress. She is really getting older from season to season and her character is more mature each episode. And slowly Dad somehow introduces her into his world.

Police work: I enjoyed plots when cold cases are being solved. Meticulous work. Computer sources. Tiny puzzle pieces.

Fast pace: Everything goes smoothely. Fast. Quick. No long boring scenes.

Great jazz!!

Bosch is a music lover and loves jazz.

Los Angeles advertisement!

Watching this series is like watching sightseeing commercials. And I love every minute of it. I need to visit this place some time! So no surprise that the series got some award from some city development organisation.

Bosch - a very masculine and yet cool guy. I hope there will be more and more seasons.

I am watching season 7 and I am happy that they plan to finish Season 7 and Season 8 which is planned to be last. I hope this is not the last word.

I believe I will definitely have it on DVD and I will also return to Kojak.

You will enjoy EVERY minute of this film!

Script writer challenges my intelligence
24 July 2022
I like Chris Pratt - a family guy who tames dinosaurs and tells some nice jokes. This is a pitfall of his acting career he is trying to climb out. Pointless efforts. If you are good at something you need to explore it and become an expert. Otherwise you create movies like "Terminal List" with family Pratt playing revenge cards...

Tomorrow War was fast paced but is was simply stupid and full of cliches.

I could forgive the cliche but I cannot forgive challenging my intelligence.

First:

30years from now people use same equipment as today...even more obsolete than today! Come on!

Second:

Creatures are vulnerable in head and neck..... cool..... but where are Abrams tanks? Where is armor to crush them? Civilians are better?

Third:

We create link to jump to future. We also have technology to put some items on hands..... Then we send people..... instead of equipment....

Fourth:

Why the hell we do not work on toxin in peacefull environment 30 years back....

I can forgive points two to four. Point one intrigues me.

Technology stopped working?

In Dune Frank Herbert and movie creators showed some respect to technological development. But here? 30 years of nothing...

Of course I know why.

This is not a movie about future war. It is about didactics regarding family values. Big budget ....for telling some words off line in the end....

Still I enjoyed GrandDad...... and some moments.

Predictable to the brain limits
21 July 2022
From the very first moments you simply know what is going to happen.

There are no "Wow" surprising moments. You simply KNOW.

Not only storyline guides hero from one point to another but also casting. Actors casted in supporting roles of bad guys were selected from a pool of actors usually playing bad guys. No surprises.

Creepy stupid storyline moments usually created for the moron journalist who does not bring anything to story besides problems.

FBI agent who suddenly feels emotions towards hero when his ass is kicked by his bosses.

Pratt cuts tickets from other productions he played in. And I feel he is created as a counterweight to heroes like Reacher in a series which was almost perfect. Almost.

I really dislike predictable movies. They are some kind of signal that producers and directors treat me as some kind of moron who does not need anything besides moving pictures and in this case some guy running with revenge. Pratt is not a revenge type. Statham is - emotionless and cruel when necessary. Pratt is a nice guy great in big budget action packed movies.

What I enjoyed were the carnage scenes showing how much damage can a well trained man do to a society he was supposed to protect.

Elvis (2022)

What was the movie about? Elvis? No.... show business management? No.... Racial segregation...? No... So?
7 July 2022
To the contrary of so many admiring reviews I will start with that:

  • I have left cinema in the middle of the movie.

This happens to me very very rarely.

Why?

I disliked the movie as a whole totally.

Some people write that it is great movie... Great movie about what? About who?

It is not a biography. Not a biography of neither Elvis nor his manager. Off voice tells it is told from the point of view of manager. Sinister manager.

It is not about family relations since character development was really poor or none.

It is not the story of music - yet there are some signals director wanted to lead us there.

It is not a story about times he lived in. But director tried to make some background.

Too few elements of Elvis, his music performances and influence.

Comparing with Bohemian Rapsody which I generally liked but it also suffered some lack of biographical strong elements this one is a mixture of everything and in the result we get total chaos.

The movie looks like scenes glued together with no sense and little idea what the editor wants to show.

Good stage scenes - sure. They are really well filmed. And I would be happy to have movie limited to those scenes.

Nice casting for Elvis - I loved the voice thing.

Hanks is very poorely cast.

As I said I left in the middle. I think I will watch it when it comes to some TV broadcaster so I can fast forward most of the unnecessary scenes.

Looks like missed chance. Yet there are no movies about Elvis so it is condemned for success.

Alien: Morons in space
25 June 2022
I really wonder who allowed this movie to be produced.

The whole script is about morons who are unable to perform their own jobs not mentioning acting in crisis situations.

More to that they have 2000 colonists...... No soldiers? No army procedures? No procedures at all?

Visiting some planet because some song is being broadcasted? Walking with no protection?

Putting aside all the God - Devil quotes later in the movie when they meet another android the whole script and story is about morons and other morons who sent these morons to space. If this is our future I feel a but worried. It seems our future belongs to total amateurs.

I feel sad because this was a result of Ridley's Scott work. I his first Alien I understand - simple story. Crew is facet with new situation. Here they travel long distance with several people to colonize. And get killed in so stupid way. I even feel relieved when I saw them die. The quicker the better.

Total crap. I would even accept they have superpowers - I watch movies to have fun and be pleased by artistic view. But this is a story of chain of poor decisions! I wonder if Scott is replaced with a cook because it would be interesting to check how cook directs.

Vega has established his quality and style
14 June 2022
Vega is a Polish movie creator who has established his recognizable style. It resembles dark bloody crime stories from France rather than from any other countries.

The quality of photography and editing is always very good from Vega. This one does not disappoints either. It is a dark, grim police story or rather crime story initially told by a gifted bomber and kidnapper how he faced a cop who brought him down.

Vega enjoys inserting some important moments of modern Polish history into his movies. He does the same here.

All is told nicely smoothly in the sauce of some religious discovery made by the cop - Exodus book of Bible.

Good pace. Dark climate. Good acting.

I am glad that Polish movie creator produces such good quality movies.

Invasion of horrific scriptwriters
13 June 2022
I have been attracted to this series by Sam Neil.

I said: WHOA! Someone made a s-f series and got Top A actor to attract attention. Good move. I wonder what the sheriff is going to..... what? They killed him in the very first episode ....mainly because of the budget issues!

That is my impression.

Then you get the festival of loooooong scenes that do not create anything except the need to watch it 4 times faster. I call them FFD films. In this way I watch 1 hour film in 10 minutes and I miss nothing. So what is the point of making such a film in first place? Actors' training ground? Ok, I can accept that. Some actors were fine:

Some were fine:
  • The very bad bad boy who was "king of flies" tormenting all - well played.

  • lesbians - astronaut and computer geek - that was somekind of love shown instead of sexual attraction flowing off from lots of movies now. Show me a movie with no lesbians or gays today....huh?

And..... cheating husband...... poor bastard....very well played.

The rest was like wood.

Character creation:

Less than average.

Mother of kids, cheated by husband. Character created in a way that you simply dislike her more and more. Finally she accepts death of her husband who has been actually on a risk of being killed some three or your times but dies in a most stupid ways .....

Chef Marine..... so boring in similar play all the time....

If it was about creating climatic atmosphere for relaxing - sure.... Good idea.

And creatures....

Come on!!!

The way they move.......

The only scene that was really intriguing was when mother of two and husband and kids were hiding under the roof on top floor of 2 floor house in woods. And creatures were below. It was like Jews hiding in Ghetto during Ghetto uprising in 1943 in Warsaw. The only thing was missing were SS men shouting in German and shooting other Jews below.

Unfortunately I believe it was unintentional and accidental. The creatures seemed to be completely mindless and had no hate or planned Endlossung..... Some random horrific geometric something.

Generally I watched the whole Season hoping for development of action. I got more from some personal character insight than from so called action......

Hope they change script writer.

Very poor casting........ very poor my dear friend
31 May 2022
This is a perfect example how casting can spoil a good script.

I have just finished reading 12 works of Hercules Poirot and somewhere in the middle I have realized why most of the books and stories have been filmed. The answer is simple - Agatha Christie uses very few words to describe her characters. So you as a director or cast responsible person have full freedom to choose and build. However Poirot is always a small tiny man with mustache...

Molina is big..... big man..... Dr Octavius.... and other very good roles.

Peter Strauss is very good as a villain since he is simply a very good actor able to be good and bad - just like Johnny Depp in other adaptation what probably lead him to Fantastic Beasts bad guy - very good performance unfortunately destroyed by personal scandals.

The rest - so so.

Anyway - it is rather a theater school attempt to film this book. I enjoyed Keneth Brannagh version too. But this one is simply someone's idea and someone's version. It proves how versatile Agatha's writing is.

My low rating comes out of Molina yet I love him as an actor.

Very good comic adaptation - one of very few
30 May 2022
I have started watching this movie after reading some reviews. Lots of them actually "ate, digested and threw out" the movie calling it names. Since I am not big fan of Jared Leto due to his very poor casting (not performance!) I had actually no expectations....

And I was shocked..... surprised and really satisfied.

The film is coherent. Focused on story. On a man fighting his illness, focused on helping others and then focused on fighting or rather utilizing something that got into him.

Very simple scene setup. No extravaganza. Good acting. Nice story telling. Compared to over budget Avengers movies it was like a theater than a movie. And that is why I enjoyed a lot this simple good movie.

Very good acting. Good actors. And story and problems were in main focus without creating some artificial villains.

I enjoyed hero's struggling with his illness and then the unknown and getting new abilities. And scientific mind.

Generally it a very good, simple and coherent story. With promising ending announcing continuation with Vulture.

Good job.

Mostly walking at night
28 May 2022
There are two things that I enjoyed...Ok three things....

  • Landscapes - very good pictures.

  • Music - will probably last longer than a movie.

  • Nicole Kidman - very good in being bad.

All the rest...... Well very much incoherent.

The battle scene in Russia was nicely shot yet it showed our main hero being so effective that he could kill all enemies in Island with one hand and blindfolded. Yet he had to hide as a slave. Stupid.

Dialog was total crap.

Characters were really unlikable. The main hero was more boring than intriguing.

Some kind of story nobody knew where to drift with. Someone wanted to make Braveheart bloodshed and someone else wanted to make it some dark prophecy..... ravens cutting rope.... come on!

Some scenes were nice. But movie is not selection of nice scenes with gaps filled with crap.

Talent mixed with hard work
24 May 2022
This is my all time great favorite classic.

And when you watch nowaday movies and learn that the director is Sam Raimi you should know that this is HIM who made THIS ONE - Army of Darkness and EVIL DEAD!

Funny thing is that great movies are made by horror directors. Tolkien trilogy about Rings has also been filmed by Jackson who debuted with some Brain horror. Anyway....

Bruce Campbell is a gem. My favorite comedy actor ever - sardonic and rough and funny. Ash made by him is wonderful. Worth to know he also plays the BAD ASH.

The movie in whole is fun. XX century guy lands in XII century. He has a chainsaw, sewed shotgun and cadillac. And he fights the army of the dead lead by.... his dark alter ego. Lots of funny moments coming from Evil Dead. Many easter eggs for hard cinema fans. But mainly lots of fun and blood. And all the action makes you laugh since Ash is a cheater and he even cheats spells what leads to the havoc. But finally he proves to be a taugh guy shooting like Terminator and using his medieval iron hand - which he has lost in Evil Dead II or even I.

I enjoy this movie every year because it simply makes me laugh. And this is a very high quality laugh.

I wish you enjoy the film. It takes enjoyment from this type of comedies.

I hope you are the right person I am talking to.

Life is full of zasadzkas
20 May 2022
The title of mu review is a funny copy of a simple proverb about surprises in life.

For me this series was a big surprise. In most cases in a series the more you watch, the further you go the more boring the contents is.

Long time ago when it was on TV I watched it when new episode was presented. I have lost track somewhere around season 5 or six. The rest - I read about.

Lately I took HBO package and spent 4 days watching the whole lot. The more I watched the more I enjoyed it. Except season 8 of course which resembled me something like "let's finish it and go home". So disappointing ... Yet....getting back to what I have enjoyed : 1. Character building. I loved how characters were developed. How they grew and changed. Sometimes to better sometimes to worse.

2. Better and better scripts and filming each season.

3. Very good actor play. They seem to develop along the series.

4. Very "good" bad guys. I really enjoyed this damn sadist who cut off sousage and skinned people alive. This one was a perfect psycho and I love the actor. I added him to the pantheon along Christopher Walken and Willem Defoe. I hope he is not forgotten. Of course the sadist king from Season one was good but compared to sausage cutter he was second class bad guy. Character building of Cercei was full of holes and difficult to follow. Yet there were moment I really hated her so good point.

5. Well developed story.

7. Army of the Dead and Night King. Mixed feeling. I would enjoy more details, his past, motiffs, what drived him and so on. Sometimes he was like some kind of a robot. I know - cold emotions yet lack of drive makes the character poorely developed. Yet I understand the objective - to show that people are far more worse than him in their actions.

8. Scenography, costumes and so on. Lots of things.

9. Surprises in killing people whose character were semi developed and looked promising. Yet if you ever watched "To Live and Die in LA" you would learn to accept it.

With good story all the gore, sex and violence and skinning did not impress too much. It was a part of the deal.

And my favorite Tiryon - great character and actor.

Finally - all lines perfectly spoken and spelled. The series can be easily used to learn proper English.

It is a rarity that such a long story with so many subplots and characters is coherent and you do not get lost. But to not get lost you better watch it a a whole. Not from time to time.

Very very good story.

Simple scheme - scientist who is always correct teams up with an FBI woman - a very good scheme

I started watching this series only for Rufus. I enjoyed a lot his great performance in The man in the High Castle. The film actually is founded on his performance.

As for this series he also plays briliantly yet a bit different type of a man. However the mimic the face and face muscles plus some movements are almost the same. That is why I liked him so much.

Here is plays a good guy. A scientist with vast knowledge teamed up with a nice FBI girl to solve crime with some science behind them.

I have no idea why I found only 1 season - 18 episodes. No follow up? I enjoyed the show very much. I wonder how I would like the British origin with my another favorite actor - Patrick Stewart. Hope to find it soon.
