The Terror Within (1989)
Cheezy
George Kennedy is a great well known actor with lots of films to his credit he worked along the greats like John Wayne, Henry Fonda, Burt Lancaster, Lee Marvin and Jimmy Stewart. So it was sad to see him running around in a Post Apocalypse Movie with a laser gun that looked like it was made from PVC pipe from Lowes or Home Depot. The Laser gun looked like something my kids put together when their playing army in the back yard. Of course with all the cast George Kennedy was the movie he must have done it because the director or producer was his brother in-law or something. The Gargoyles were not believable at all I tried to get into the movie the explosions were awesome the story was decent the acting was alright the actors props sucked who ever they paid they need to get their money back. I gave it a 5 only out of respect for Mr. Kennedy.
For Greater Glory: The True Story of Cristiada (2012)
Good movie
History is written by Hollywood but i get bummed out on movies where the heroes lose. The acting was good, the story was awesome, the fight scenes were well made this is a grade A movie. The only thing i had a problem with was the long drawn out talking and planning with the characters. It was just like the writers slapped something together to make the film longer? For me the kids death scene was to much as well. There were no women fighters as well it just showed them cooking and smuggling ammo. In the real wars the women fought along side of the men that is why Mexican women are so tough. So i kind of felt it was a little disrespectful towards the women who did fight along side of the men in these wars.
This was a very important lesson in history and now we can see why our founding fathers wrote in our Declaration of Independence the importance of freedom of religion. Good movie i wouldn't pay at the movies (10 dollars) to see it but i would definitely rent it on a rainy day from Redbox (99 cents) and watch it. It would have been a better movie if it was more realistic.
Bangrajan (2000)
Awesome movie
This was well worth watching, lots of action, way more than any Bruce Willis film and realistic. It had subtitles but this movie was awesome from start to finish. The battle scenes, the story and the actors.
Bang Rajah was refreshingly void of any Hollywood cheesy lines or unrealistic action scenes. I am not into chick flicks but this movie even had many love story lines in it. It was still to bloody for my wife to watch even with the love scenes in it. Bang Rajan had a little comedy as well as sadness. Bang Rajan is an A grade movie well made.
I watched this movie and if you enjoyed Apacolipto you will really love Bang Rajan. Bang Rajan is a must see for anyone who loves watching war/action films.
The Veteran (2011)
Awesome
This movie would have gotten a 10+ from me if it was not for the ending, that sickened me. I loved this movie, it was great, the acting was awesome, the end enraged me so bad i don't think ill be able to sleep tonight.
This guy was the English's Charles Bronson! For God's sake why kill him off? Don't the English believe in sequels?
This Robert character was no pretty boy type, his strength and skill as a fighter was believable. The sense of honor he had was what young children now a days need to see. Just like John Wayne in Rooster Cogburn or a Matt Dillon or a Rambo. You English finally had a believable tough guy. unlike your weak doctor Who or 007's and your great writers killed him off. I would have paid 50 bucks at the box office to see part two, with a bullet to his forehead i wouldn't pay one thin dime. Who ever wrote the ending should be flogged. All your other tough guy actors are like ours in the USA steroid and abdominal plated infested, fake tough guys.
